TV Land Makes Some Changes, More 'Andy' and 'Beaver', 'What's Happening' Gone; TV Land Discusses New Original Series

We are breaking in bright and early at midnight ET to let you know TV Land has made changes that will start later today (Monday, Dec. 18). TV Land has decided to air The Andy Griffith Show in a two-hour block. It is currently airing at 8 & 8:30 p.m. with an encore at 1:10 a.m. and 1:45 a.m., but now they will expand that and add 9 & 9:30 p.m. with an encore at 2:20 a.m. and 2:55 a.m. The 9 & 9:30 p.m. slot will remove What's Happening!! What's Happening!! came back to the schedule on Dec. 7, so it is quickly off after just a handful of days of airing. Some other changes will start Tuesday, with the evening line-up and overnight line-up changing a bit. Green Acres will now air for a full hour at 5 p.m. (it was just 5 p.m. before), Leave it to Beaver was at 5:30 p.m., but now it will air for a full hour at 6 p.m., replacing All in the Family. All in the Family will still air at 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. weekdays. The overnight changes are a result of Andy being added with two more slots, so The Jeffersons, Sanford & Son, Green Acres, and Leave it to Beaver will slide an hour ahead (3:30am-6am now, before it was 2:20am-5am), and Little House on the Prairie's encore at 5 a.m. will be gone as a result.
