Jaime Lyn Bauer

Our buddy Chris Mann recently released his latest episode of Reimagine That! The latest episode has classic Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives star Jaime Lyn Bauer. She shared with Chris, her emotional remembrances of the late, great Jeanne Cooper. "I loved Jeanne," Jaime Lyn says, choking back tears. "She was a very important person in my life. She saved me through some of my worst years. She befriended me, she mothered me. She was an incredible woman. And she was very troubled at that time as well, in her personal life. And we were good for each other. We hung out a lot. I even dated Corbin, her son, for a while, and she was graciously alright with it." She also talked about what sitcom legend Henry Winkler (Happy Days) taught her about dealing with fans, how Leslie Nielsen shielded her from a physically threatening Y&R viewer who hated Lorie Brooks, and how she drew on her observations at The Playboy Mansion in creating Y&R's original bad girl-turned-heroine. Speaking of Young and the Restless, same day reruns will begin on Monday, July 1, 2013 on TVGN and air weekdays at 7pm and again the next day at 10am.

This is part one of Chris' interview with Jaime Lyn Bauer. In part 2, which is posting on Friday, she talks about being approached recently for Y&R to return for a week of taping ... and where she'd see her iconic character of Lorie Brooks nearly 40 years after she first premiered (around the time that Jeanne Cooper's character did) on Y&R. Part 2 will be timed to be published before the Daytime Emmys this weekend. As you may know, this awards show will include a tribute to Jeanne Cooper. Also coming up on Friday's show: a fun "Reality Reimagined" interview with TV historian/author and Comfort TV creator/blogger David Hofstede. But before part two comes out, go listen to part one. And stay with us for continued updates.

Logo Adds Roseanne, Golden Girls, Shelves Bewitched; Chris Mann Heads Back to Dallas with Morgan Brittany

It may be April Fool's Day, but we're not foolin' because Logo is adding more sitcoms! The Viacom shuffle is continuing with more borrowing of shows. In the latest round of shuffling, Roseanne is headed to Logo. Currently, Roseanne is on Viacom-owned networks CMT and TV Land, but the CMT airings will be moving to Logo effective immediately. This means that CMT will now only have Reba as a sitcom, since Yes, Dear has been gone too, as it moved to Nick Jr. recently (and still airs late nights on sister network Nick at Nite). Roseanne will remain airing on TV Land in weekend play like it has been airing. Logo will actually begin the series beginning today (Monday, April 1) - no foolin'! It will air from 4-6pm and air most weekdays in the afternoon along with some weekend airings. Also coming to Logo will be The Golden Girls! That series just started a few weeks ago on TV Land and has thrived in the ratings (already being expanded to weekdays 6-9pm instead of the planned 7-9pm). Now Viacom will add more airings of it on another sister network, with it airing on Logo as well. The Golden Girls premieres Saturday, April 13 with a weekend marathon beginning 1pm (following a block of Roseanne) and ending at 1am. As for regular airings, The Golden Girls will be asked to air on most weekdays in the early evening/primetime timeslots, along with weekend play in those dayparts.

While we get two new sitcoms on Logo, one sitcom that was airing will be heavily reduced. In fact, it just has one scheduled airing in the near future. Bewitched, which was added back in October on Logo, will now be heavily reduced big time. As of now, only one airing is scheduled on Thursday, April 11 at 6pm, following a block of Roseanne. Hopefully we will see more Bewitched soon, and we will let you know if it comes back into more regular airings like it has been airing since October. Elsewhere in Viacom land, TV Land has made a few minor schedule changes that concern a show we just mentioned. As just mentioned, The Golden Girls has been expanded on weekdays from 6-9pm, so The Cosby Show 6-7pm hour is off and the series will air on weeknights from approx. 3:30am-5am now (in addition to its weekend blocks during the day). And finally, Viacom-owned TV Land will add even more The Golden Girls on weekends with Saturdays 4-10am being added effective this coming Saturday (April 6). The series will replace Three's Company, which goes on hiatus again. The sitcom was doing very well in the ratings, especially in the younger demo of 18-49, but the series is nearing its end on its current contract (which expires at the end of August), so they're trying to save some more plays on episodes. We hope Jack Tripper and the rest of the company return soon, like they always do. Stay with us for continued updates on Logo, TV Land and other Viacom-owned networks!

Our friend Chris Mann has just posted two more episodes of his retro podcast "Reimagine That!" and you'll want to hear this! In fact, we're even mentioned on the second episode with Chris relaying some of our recent Seven Questions interviews, including Amy Davidson, Haywood Nelson and Beverly Archer (don't forget to read our interview we just posted last week with Nicole Eggert). We thank him and we strive to be as good as him in his flawless podcast, produced by him and the great Linda Kay. In his latest episodes, he heads back to Dallas with a star from the original series. In the first of her two-part exclusive Retroality.TV interview, child star-turned-Dallas diva Morgan Brittany tells "Reimagine That!" host Chris Mann about the possibility of returning to Southfork -- in TNT's hot revival of the legendary soap -- as primetime's original queen of mean, Katherine Wentworth. Morgan discusses various ways she could re-enter the Dallas scene, and reveals how she developed the wicked Wentworth during her original stint on the CBS hit. After a successful run as a child actor in the 1950s and 60s -- she worked with the likes of Henry Fonda, Lucille Ball, Natalie Wood, a young Ron Howard and Alfred Hitchcock -- the former Suzanne Cupito shares what drove her to abandon that name and identity in favor of reinventing herself in the 1970s as Morgan Brittany. And in part two, she tells host Chris Mann how her hardships as a child actress and her family's breadwinner shaped her as a woman who not only would survive Hollywood (including Dallas' ill-fated dream season) but also hold her own as a conservative political columnist and host. And she's juggled multiple careers while raising two children with longtime husband and stuntman Jack Gill. Their son, Cody, is a musician and their daughter, Katie, is an actress (most recently seen playing Christie Brinkley's daughter in NBC's Parks and Recreation).

Wow, you'll hear all that good stuff and more! Chris also gives an update on his upcoming projects, including an updated version of his Three's Company book Come and Knock On Our Door and a book on the late, great John Ritter. And as always, dream weaver Yvonne Ryba does the "Reawakenings" segment and analyzes two more dreams. So head on over to Reimagine That! and listen away to episodes 17 and 18!

TBS Schedules Season 2 of Men at Work; Gimme a Break Star Lara Jill Miller Speaks with Retroality.tv

Men at Work

TBS has announced premiere dates for two of its original series set to hit the air in April. The network's hit original sitcom Men at Work is scheduled to launch its second season Thursday, April 4, at 10pm (ET/PT) following the conclusion of TBS comedy reality series King of the Nerds (which actually finales on March 7). And TBS's new competition series Who Gets the Last Laugh? is set to premiere Tuesday, April 16, at 10pm (ET/PT), as Cougar Town has its season finale the week before on April 9. Cougar Town will actually have a two-episode season finale on that date from 10-11pm. Returning for its second season, TBS's hit original sitcom Men at Work stars Danny Masterson (That '70s Show, Yes Man), Michael Cassidy (The O.C.), Adam Busch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Meredith Hagner (Royal Pains) and James Lesure (Las Vegas). The series centers on four buddies who help each other navigate the treacherous waters of work, friendship and women. Men at Work comes to TBS from Sony Pictures Television. The series was created by Breckin Meyer (TNT's Franklin & Bash). The series has been ordered for another 10-episode run, like in its first season last summer. No word yet on when TBS will air the second season of Sullivan & Son, but it is likely they will start that series' second season once Men at Work wraps its 10-episode run this June. Stay tuned for news on that.

As for Who Gets the Last Laugh?, TBS's new hidden-camera competition series, hosted by Donald Faison (Scrubs, The Exes), will pit some of the industry's best-known comedians and comedy actors against one another to see who can pull the most outrageous practical jokes. Among the comedians who have lined up to participate are Andy Dick (NewsRadio), Tom Green (The Tom Green Show), D.L. Hughley (The Hughleys), Chris Kattan (The Middle, Saturday Night Live), Bam Margera (Jackass), Bill Bellamy (Any Given Sunday), Charlie Murphy (Chappelle's Show), Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live), Alan Thicke (Growing Pains), Nicole Sullivan (MADtv), Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory) and Finesse Mitchell (Saturday Night Live). Who Gets the Last Laugh? is produced by Jason Goldberg and Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst in association with Warner Horizon Television. Katalyst co-founder Jason Goldberg serves as executive producer and showrunner. TBS has ordered 9 episodes of the series.

Lara Jill Miller

After a 15-episode run in 2011-12, Reimagine That! with Chris Mann is back for an all-new season of fun with classic TV stars! If you forgot, the series is a popular podcast "where retro pop meets forward thought" as Retroality.TV's behind-the-scenes "TVographer" Chris Mann talks rebooting pop culture's past, re-envisioning reality (TV and otherwise) and reinventing life after 35 -- spiritually, professionally and otherwise -- with Hollywood storytellers and survivors, retro aficionados and "re-creative" visionaries. Also: Chris reviews headline-making pop culture controversies. In episode 16, Chris talks with Lara Jill Miller of Gimme a Break! fame. Lara of course talks Gimme a Break!, Nell Carter, her appearance on Disney's Doc McStuffins, and other voice-artist success.

Lara Jill Miller grew up before our eyes as Nell Carter's sweet-faced "little girl" Samantha Kinisky on the hit NBC sitcom Gimme a Break! In the '90s she went back to the East Coast, earned a law degree and became a practicing New York attorney ... but her passion for showbiz brought her back to Hollywood once more. In the last decade, Lara Jill has become one of the industry's most in-demand voice artists, with starring roles in several animated series (like Clifford's Puppy Days), films, video games and more. In a special Valentine-themed episode of the hit Disney Jr. series Doc McStuffins, which premiered on Friday on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior, the former child star again takes the spotlight, this time as Doc's lovable pal Lambie. In this exclusive, in-depth interview about her amazing journey, Lara Jill opens up about her close relationship with the late Carter, revealing how being the "Ain't Misbehavin'" star's "baby" kept Sam in the Gimme a Break! fold after the show was extensively retooled (and much of the original cast let go) during its final season. Lara Jill recalls some of the long-running sitcom's landmark episodes (Joey in blackface?! Katie has an IUD?!) and discloses that, had the show been renewed for a seventh season, the focus would have shifted to Nell's misadventures with Sam in college. (NBC, instead giving us A Different World, missed the boat on this one, folks.) Chris also fondly remembers Nell Carter, and three other TV greats we've lost more recently: Dallas icon Larry Hagman, Three's Company Regal Beagle bartender (and stage star!) Paul Ainsley and Maude and Diff'rent Strokes star Conrad Bain.
Head on over to Retroality.tv and listen to episode 16 of this wonderful podcast from the great Chris Mann! "Gimme a break I sure deserve it...It's time I made it to the top."

CBS Fall 2012 Premiere Dates, ABC Friday Premiere Rumblings; Reimagine That! Interviews Christine Lakin from Step by Step About Her New Web Series

No surprise, CBS will premiere virtually all of its new and returning series during the official premiere week (Sept. 24-30) for the 2012-13 season. For the 10th time in the past 11 seasons, Survivor will get an early start to the season. Survivor: Philippines will be the only series to open a week earlier with a special 90-minute premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 8-9:30pm leading into the season finale of summer staple Big Brother from 9:30-11pm. Then during premiere week for its new series, the new comedy Partners premieres Monday, Sept. 24 at 8:30pm, followed by freshman dramas Vegas debuting Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10pm, Elementary on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10pm and Made In Jersey on Friday, Sept. 28 at 9pm.
View the entire CBS Fall 2012 premiere date list. With CBS' announcement, only ABC has not officially announced its fall premiere dates yet. Sources tell SitcomsOnline.com that we will probably have them this week and to expect the following for Friday nights: Shark Tank and What Would You Do? will have their season premieres on Friday, Sept. 14 from 8-10pm. Then six weeks later, sophomore sitcom Last Man Standing will then have its season premiere (likely two episodes) on Friday, Oct. 26 at 8 leading into the new time period debut for Shark Tank at 9pm, replacing What Would You Do, which would return later in the season. Then, following the night of the CMA Awards (Thursday, Nov. 1), new sitcom Malibu Country starring Reba McEntire will launch on Friday, Nov. 2 at 8:30pm. ABC is expected to launch its other new fall series during premiere week like new Wednesday comedy The Neighbors, new Thursday drama Last Resort and new Sunday drama 666 Park Avenue. However, due to the Presidential Debate on Wednesday, Oct. 3, ABC may opt to save the premiere of The Neighbors until Oct. 10 and double up on Modern Family on Sept. 26. It is highly expected that new 10pm drama Nashville will premiere on Wednesday, October 10. Stay tuned until all of this is official.

Moving on, today is the day of premiere of the new webseries Lovin' Lakin starring Christine Lakin (Step by Step), which we covered last week. Make sure you watch this hilarious new series on Hulu or YouTube! Christine gave us so much information last week when we talked to her, we want to share more from her today. Plus she also spoke to our good friend Chris Mann of Reimagine That! for the latest episode of his awesome podcast! So please find that below.

Christine told us that she filmed some of her episodes on the set of the big screen movie You Again (starring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Odette Yustman, and many many more stars like herself): "We were actually filming You Again when I started to film this series, I wrote it right before You Again and we were filming in L.A. that summer and of course I took advantage of the opportunity working with so many great actors. And you know the Jamie Lee Curtis episode, unfortunately we can't air, I mean it's brilliant but unfortunately a little too "blue." Not for I think the world, but for I think for Jamie and the kinds of stuff she does these days, for some of her branding she had a little bit of a problem with it. She did say she would come back to do another episode, so I hope we get to do another season, cause she's just brilliantly funny and such a gifted comedic improviser, and a lot of people probably don't know that about her! So yeah, I sort of took advantage of having all of these great people around, and asked Kristin Chenoweth obviously, Jamie Lee, Kristen Bell, and you know Patrick Duffy had always said he would do an episode with me and again that was perfect timing, he was in L.A. doing a couple of days on You Again, so it worked out great. Staci Keanan came by that day, and then you know Seth MacFarlane, you know I pop in and out of the Family Guy offices, he was kind enough to come in on a Saturday to the (Oops Doughnuts) office when nobody else was there and do that for me. So I cannot express enough that making something like this is a labor of love. Everybody did it as a huge favor to me!"

Christine really appreciated everyone working on this show for her: "I would like to go on record thanking everybody who is a part of it. You know there were a bunch of kids in one of the episodes, where I teach an acting class, and they were all so funny and their parents just totally let me abuse them--in all the right ways--and make them do really silly really wrong things and they were such good sports about it. Everything from that to my friend Patrick Day at the Young Actors Space letting me use that space, to people coming in on Saturdays, to Oops Doughnuts letting me use their office, and everyone that came in and did a part on this show, I couldn't do it without that and I think that's a real part of what YouTube is and part of what the internet is and I think that is a really positive thing. So if people like this, that's great, if people don't like it, that's fine, too. But there are so many haters out there, who post really rude and mean comments on YouTube and I don't think it helps the film making community. And I don't think it helps creativity in general. Constructive criticism is great and I welcome that and I would be the first probably to give that kind of advice on something like Internet Icon (where Christine is a judge), but people work really hard, whether it is a two-minute YouTube video or whether it is a webseries. There's a lot of people around that, it doesn't happen because one person just turns on a camera all the time...there's a lot of people that work behind the scenes."

Please watch Lovin' Lakin today! In addition, our good friend Chris Mann (Come and Knock on Our Door, Retroality.TV) also spoke to Lakin herself! Read about it in his own words: Christie Lakin ... The Spoofed Adventures of New Christine ... In this exclusive Retroality.TV interview, Step by Step child star Christine Lakin tells all about her new satirical webseries, Lovin' Lakin -- premiering July 16 on Hulu and YouTube -- while opening up about her experiences as a '90s teen TV star-turned-versatile, multimedia-savvy performer. (Tweet her @yolakin, @lovinlakin, @worstaudition and @OopsDoughnuts, then like her on Facebook here, here, here and (phew!) here!)

"Lovin' Lakin," a ten-episode mockumentary, casts the 33-year-old star as an egocentric, obnoxious version of herself that clearly couldn't be more removed from the real, laid-back Lakin. The fictional Christine -- unlike her steadily employed originator -- is a onetime child star staging a comeback. Along the way, her former co-stars and famous friends (among them Patrick Duffy, Seth MacFarlane and Kristin Chenoweth) suffer fictional Christine's comic misadventures in relaunching her celebrity. (For more info, check out Christine's terrific new interview with Sitcoms Online news director Pavan Patel here.)

Lakin shares with Reimagine That! host Chris Mann her fond memories of playing Al Lambert, the tomboyish daughter of Duffy and Suzanne Somers in the Brady Bunch-esque Step, which ran from 1991 on 1997 as part of ABC's hugely successful TGIF sitcom lineup. (The series ran for one more season, through spring 1998, on CBS and has remained in syndication ever since.) Lakin is especially lovin' on the paternal Duffy, who she says has remained a cherished fixture in her life.

The go-getter actress explains how her new online series affords her a self-made opportunity to express herself creatively on-camera and behind-the-scenes. She also favorably compares her TV sitcom experiences to her background as a stage actress -- and muses about marrying both in her recent turn as Joanie Cunningham in Garry Marshall's Happy Days: The Musical. (Lakin, seen most recently on TV in Melissa and Joey, has also appeared in the Marshall-directed features Georgia Rule and Valentine's Day; her other feature credits include co-starring with Jamie Lee Curtis in 2010's You Again and starring opposite Paris Hilton in 2008's The Hottie and the Nottie. Up next: reimagining the role of Clarice this fall in the West Coast stage premiere of the darkly comic Silence! The Musical. [Oh, yeah, folks. We're talking "... of the Lambs!"])

Finally, the ever-spirited Lakin discusses why she chose online cheekiness to underscore her serious commitment to supporting gay marriage by participating in the Funny or Die video Child Celebrities Opposing Kirk Cameron.

Also ... on a somber note, Chris fondly looks back on the celebrities we've lost in 2012 and shares his thoughts on the 50-year friendship that Andy Griffith shared with his co-star Don Knotts.

And finally, Reimagine That! dream interpeter Yvonne Ryba offers an in-depth analysis of a client's dream involving pregnancy and creative rebirth.

Listen to episode 14 here. View our Christine Lakin Photo Gallery.

Also, if you missed episode 13, Reimagine That! had Johnathan McClain (Retired at 35) on to talk about his TV Land sitcom's sophomore season, his Funny or Die videos and finding his inner Leather. Plus, in part three of his three-part Retroality.TV exclusive, Farrah Fawcett's longtime secret lover, Greg Lott, on Farrah's struggles with Ryan O'Neal, and Redmond's drug abuse. So go and listen to episode 13 as well, if you missed this one!

Moving on, we haven't blogged about this yet, but our good friend Chris Mann of Retroality.tv has posted episodes 11 and 12 of his podcast Reimagine That! Both episodes feature an interview with Greg Lott, Farrah Fawcett's secret longtime lover. He opens up in this Retroality.TV exclusive about Ryan O'Neal's contentious new tell-all book, Both of Us. Here, in the first segment of his explosive three-part interview, Lott -- who famously confronted O'Neal in public on camera after the Love Story star reportedly barred Lott from contacting Farrah in her final months in spring 2009 -- strongly refutes O'Neal's less-than-flattering written portrayal of Fawcett, the celebrated Tinseltown couple's tumultuous relationship and her role in raising their troubled son, Redmond, now 27.
Fawcett's college sweetheart before the ethereal beauty left The University of Texas for Hollywood stardom in 1968, Lott lost touch with the iconic TV angel-turned-Emmy-nominated Burning Bed and Golden Globe-nominated Extremities star during his two incarcerations on drug trafficking charges in the early 1970s and early 1980s. Lott resumed contact with Farrah during her separation from Lee Majors in the late 1970s and again following her split with O'Neal in the late 1990s. As documented by Farrah's love letters to Lott, the longtime friends maintained a private love affair during the final 11 years of her life.
In this installment of Lott's in-depth interview, the onetime UT Longhorn football star also sounds off on controversy surrounding Ryan O'Neal's 2008 felony drug-possession arrest and subsequent guilty plea, Fawcett's living trust and Ryan's related legal troubles with The University of Texas, and Farrah's stormy relationship with producer-director James Orr, who was convicted in 1998 on a misdemeanor charge of beating Fawcett in 1997.
Also ... on a much lighter note, Chris spotlights two new Tinseltown tomes, Suzanne Sumner-Ferry's The Day the Stars Stood Still: A Memoir about Logan Fleming, the Former Top Wax Artist of Movieland Wax Museum and Patty Farmer's The Persian Room Presents: An Oral History of New York's Most Magical Night Spot.
Listen to episode 11 of Reimagine That!

In the second of three parts, Greg Lott opens up exclusively to Retroality.TV about his secret love affair with the late Farrah Fawcett, whom he first romanced in the mid-1960s during their tenure at the University of Texas.
Here, Lott tells how he was cut out of the TV angel's life -- reportedly by Ryan O'Neal -- two and a half months before the iconic actress succumbed to cancer on June 25, 2009. He also opens up about his role in the UT's investigation into Fawcett's estate -- namely, O'Neal's possession of a highly valuable Andy Warhol portrait of the Charlie's Angels star that the UT contends Fawcett bequeathed to her alma mater upon her death. (The UT sued O'Neal last year, demanding he relinquish the artwork, which the Love Story star contends he owns. That case is headed to trial this fall.) Lott also reveals his thoughts about Fawcett's friend Alana Stewart and questions the origin of the Stewart-helmed charity The Farrah Fawcett Foundation, which is currrently under investigation by the California Attorney General's Office of Charitable Trust.
On a lighter note ... host Chris Mann discusses the multi-generational allure of the 1978-91 TV hit Dallas (revived this month on TNT) and -- thanks to a Jenilee Harrison segue -- marvels at the ongoing youth appeal of the 1977-84 classic series Three's Company. As he prepares a special anniversary edition of his 1998 tell-all book Come and Knock on Our Door (due in late 2012 or, if 36th anniversaries count, 2013), Chris salutes the "next generation" of Company fans, including 14-year-old aspiring documentary filmmaker Isaiah Reaves, 23-year-old funnygal-slash-Chrissy Snow-spoofmeister Ashlee Anno and 30something radio producer/"Three's Company Throwdown" trivia king Andy Hermann.

More On Moesha On GMC, 7th Heaven Coming Soon; Episode 9 and 10 of Reimagine That! With Chris Mann

Moesha
As we announced nearly two weeks ago, Moesha is now on GMC. The sitcom premiered with a marathon this past Saturday (April 14) from 9am-7pm. Now we can reveal its regular airings. It will air every Saturday from 12pm-3pm right after Sister, Sister from 9am-12pm. Both sitcoms only air on Saturdays on the cable network. 227 will follow on Saturdays from 3-5pm and then Cosby from 5-7pm. Both 227 and Cosby, along with Amen, also air weeknights starting at 11pm. So none of that is changing, only the Saturday schedule is altered a bit to make room for Moesha. The sitcom will not air on weekdays.

The rest of the weekday schedule is of course filled with family dramas: The Waltons, Judging Amy, and Dr. Quinn Medicine Women along with reality series Don't Forget the Lyrics! We have a new acquisition coming soon to GMC to be added to this mix. GMC has acquired the rights to the family drama 7th Heaven. We cannot reveal just yet when it will air, but stay tuned for full information! Currently 7th Heaven is not airing anywhere, which is quite surprising as it has been seen on Hallmark, ABC Family and WGN America in recent years.

Moving on, we haven't blogged about this yet, but our good friend Chris Mann of Retroality.tv has posted episodes 9 and 10 of his podcast Reimagine That! Both episodes feature an interview with Kenneth Johnson, who opens up about his iconic '70s series The Bionic Woman and The Incredible Hulk, sharing behind-the-scenes stories and offering candid insights into why others' small-screen and big-screen "reimaginings" of these two franchises failed. The acclaimed and forever-forward-thinking storyteller -- whose 1983 NBC miniseries V was also recently rebooted without his involvement -- discusses why heart, humanity and humor were essential in his creations of Jaime Sommers (as embodied by Lindsay Wagner) and David Banner (as personified by the late Bill Bixby), and how all three components were missing in NBC's failed 2007 Bionic Woman reboot and recent CGI-driven Hulk motion pictures. At the end of part one, Johnson shares how he got started in television as a director-producer for The Mike Douglas Show and game shows and why he parted ways with The Bionic Woman when Wagner reached the pinnacle of her celebrity. Also in episode none, Reimagine That! announcer and producer Linda Kay shares with Chris some of her fondest memories of late Monkees singer Davy Jones and iconic composer Robert Sherman. Listen to episode nine of Reimagine That!

On the second part, Kenneth Johnson shares his hopes and plans for his long-awaited, big-budget V feature (or triology thereof!), explaining how it will stay true to and reinvigorate his original vision as expressed in his franchise-launching V NBC miniseries nearly 30 years ago. The always-forward-thinking creator also opens up about his feminism and the diverse audience affection for The Bionic Woman, and he explains how he and series star Lindsay Wagner have in recent years come full circle in their relationship following a long estrangement. Finally, he offers insight into his experience adapting "Alien Nation" for TV audiences in the late '80s and '90s.
Also, inspired in part by Kenny's hopes to "reinvigorate" his original V vision ("V"ision?), Chris talks about his full-circle journey as a writer/storyteller while previewing an upcoming podcast segment tentatively titled "Reality Reimagined." Listen to episode ten of Reimagine That!

It's time for episode 7 of Reimagine That! With Chris Mann! On this latest podcast, Chris goes one-on-one with Little House on the Prairie mean girl Alison Arngrim! Always-witty and outspoken Little House on the Prairie star Alison Arngrim spills on everything from hilariously surprising long-estranged co-star Melissa Sue Anderson at her "The Way I See It" book signing (!) to channeling her own inner bitch (in a good way!) through Nasty Nellie Oleson to finding her own voice as a childhood sexual abuse survivor-turned-victims rights advocate closely aligned with PROTECT.org. In the first half of her two-part Reimagine That! interview airing this month, Arngrim sounds off on pedophilia in Hollywood and recent disturbing reports of sexual abuse in the Los Angeles school district. The "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch" bestselling author also dishes on turning 50, taking her one-woman show overseas this spring and teaming up with The Waltons star Mary McDonough in a kick-ass "Good Girl vs. Bad Girl" joint book tour in late 2011 and 2012 (How you like them apples, Mary Ingalls?!).
Also, Chris shares his recollection of the late Whitney Houston's impact as the voice of a generation during her Bodyguard hey day ("And IIIIIIIIIII-eee-iii-eee-iiii will always love youuuuuuu...) while he was editor of his student newspaper in 1992-93 at The University of Tulsa. (RIP, Ms. Houston -- we'll always, we'll always, loooove youuuuuuu-ooooooh-oooooooooooooooh...) Finally, the resident dream weaver, Yvonne Ryba, interprets one more "house" dream while introducing Chris to the concept of lucid dreaming. It's another great episode and we can't wait for part two of his interview with Alison Arngrim next week! Listen to episode 7 of Remimagine That! and visit Retroality.TV for more details!

New Original Sitcom Coming to TBS This Summer; Reimagine That! Interviews Bronson Pinchot from Perfect Strangers About His New Series

TBS has given the greenlight to the new multi-camera comedy series Sullivan and Son, starring popular comedian Steve Byrne and executive-produced by Vince Vaughn (The Break-Up), Peter Billingsley and showrunner Rob Long (Cheers). Byrne also serves as producer on the series, which comes to TBS from Vaughn's Wild West Picture Show Productions, in association with Warner Horizon Television. The pilot was co-written by Byrne and Long, with Ted Wass (Soap, Blossom) directing. TBS has ordered 10 episodes of the series, which is slated to premiere this summer. They ordered it to pilot in October, as we mentioned, so it went well and now will be a series!
Sullivan and Son takes place in a popular and legendary neighborhood bar in a working-class neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Penn. Filled with locals and regulars, Sullivan & Son is the unofficial "town hall" to the neighborhood. As the series opens, Steve Sullivan (Byrne) is a successful corporate attorney from New York who brings his girlfriend, Ashley (guest star Brooke Lyons - 2 Broke Girls) for a visit just as his Irish-American father, Jack Sullivan (Dan Lauria - The Wonder Years), and Korean mother, Ok Cha (Jodi Long), are preparing to sell the bar and retire. Upon arrival, Steve reconnects with his best friend, Owen (Owen Benjamin); gets accosted by his long-suffering, under-appreciated younger sister, Susan (Vivian Bang); endures offensive comments from gruff barfly Hank (Brian Doyle Murray - Saturday Night Live); and gets hit on by tipsy cougar Carol (Christine Ebersole - Royal Pains). He even feels a rekindled romantic spark with his former sweetheart, Melanie (Valerie Azlynn). It doesn't take Steve long to realize that what he really wants out of life is to return to the old neighborhood and take over Sullivan & Son, even if it means giving up a lavish Manhattan lifestyle with the gorgeous Ashley. And so begins Steve's quest for a more meaningful and rewarding life behind the bar.
In addition to Sullivan and Son, TBS recently announced that this summer, the network will premiere the new buddy multi-camera comedy series Men at Work, starring Danny Masterson, James Lesure, Michael Cassidy and Adam Busch, which was ordered to pilot in August, as we mentioned. 10 episodes will air. Also this year, TBS will launch The Wedding Band, a new one-hour scripted comedy series starring Brian Austin Green, Harold Perrineau, Peter Cambor and Derek Miller, Melora Hardin, Jenny Wade and Kathryn Fiore. We mentioned of the pick-up back in May. And 10 episodes of this one-hour comedy have been ordered as well. Stay with us for premiere dates for all three original TBS series!

Bronson Pinchot

Our good pal Chris Mann as posted his latest episode of his podcast series Reimagine That! With Chris Mann and he has interviewed one of the funniest and nicest sitcom actors ever--Bronson Pinchot (Perfect Strangers). Nothing's going to stop Chris Mann now! If that's not enough, Bronson reimagines unscripted entertainment by giving his very first "inter'nude!" And no Chris is not being ridiculous! You'll have to take a listen to this for sure! TV's Balki Bartokomous -- who came back this weekend in the premiere of his new DIY home-restoration series, The Bronson Pinchot Project -- goes "au naturel" in this hysterical interview that exposes his thoughts on everything from reality TV, his love of Wizard of Oz, overcoming childhood adversity and sharing his "deeply personal and very secret" connection with Balki and Perfect Strangers fans. In addition, he shares his creative passion for renovating vintage houses and buildings, and discusses his memorable experience getting a disturbing "house dream" analyzed on Bio's Celebrity Nightmares Decoded. Since Bronson is in the middle of filming his new DIY series, the interview was cut a bit short but it is hysterical, fun and a great listen! The Bronson Pinchot Project airs every Saturday at 10:30pm on DIY!
Also earlier in the podcast, Chris gives his assessment of Suzanne Somers' recent reconciliation with Joyce DeWitt -- for more info, see his new Retroality.TV blog post (a MUST read, folks!)-- and previews his upcoming two-part interview with Little House on the Prairie star turned bestselling author and childhood abuse survivor Alison Angrim.
Finally, Reimagine That!'s resident dream weaver, Yvonne Ryba, interprets some of her fascinating "house dreams" while trying to make sense of Chris's bizarre, circa-early-Eighties dream involving TV's Janet Wood and Chrissy Snow, his front porch and a stampeding bull(!). This podcast has it all, doesn't it? So hope nothing is going to stop you now in listening to this podcast! Go and listen to episode six!

Reimagine That! Talks To Richard Kline About the Joyce DeWitt/Suzanne Somers Reunion; Just My Show Interviews Cosby Show's Geoffrey Owens

Richard Kline
It's an all-podcast blog today! On the eve of pop culture's historic Joyce DeWitt-Suzanne Somers peace summit, er, YouTube reunion following their legendary 31-year estrangement, Three's Company co-star Richard Kline -- TV's lovably libidinous Larry Dallas -- breaks his silence on Chris Mann's Reimagine That! about their reconciliation and offers his insights into Suzanne's contentiou$ 1981 exit from their hit 1977-84 sitcom. The accomplished stage and screen actor/director/acting coach also reveals how he's coped with the loss of his dear friend, Three's Company star John Ritter, who tragically passed away in 2003. As the breakthrough sitcom reaches its 35th anniversary this spring, Kline reveals his previous plans for a stage version of the wacky roommate farce and describes his experience as James Franco's special guest last year during the Oscar-nominated actor's bizzare Sundance presentation Three's Company: The Drama. Finally, find out the hysterical comment Richard made to a PerezHilton.com story quoting Suzanne as saying that "everybody's gone from that show."
Also, host and Three's Company tell-all author Chris Mann offers an exclusive, in-depth historical analysis of Suzanne and Joyce's separation -- including Joyce's repeated efforts to reconcile in the last 15 years -- as well as failed attempts at/missed opportunities for Three's Company reunions from the mid-'90s onward. You won't get this detailed backstory anywhere else, folks! Finally, Reimagine That! resident dream weaver Yvonne Ryba shares fascinating insights about inspirational dreams. So go listen to this MUST-LISTEN podcast from the great Chris Mann! And stay with us tomorrow for the highly anticipated reunion between Joyce DeWitt and Suzanne Somers, as it goes viral! What a birthday present for me (Pavan) as today's my birthday.
(Back in July, we at SitcomsOnline.com also interviewed Richard Kline, so you might want to check that out as well!)

Digital Digest: Mannix - The Sixth Season DVD Review

It just wouldn't be Saturday if there wasn't a Digital Digest, and this week is no exception... so welcome to Digital Digest! This week, we've got all of our regular weekly features, of course, and we have a review of CBS Home Entertainment's upcoming release of Mannix - The Sixth Season. Let's get going!

DIGITAL NEWS

We all know that Mill Creek licensed several Carsey-Werner series not too long ago, and that they have started releasing many of these series. Among those series, we heard of That '70s Show - Season One (Blu-ray) debuting on Blu-ray, but there had been some delays along the way. Now, it seems that Mill Creek is ready to get this set rolling, with a scheduled release date of March 20 for the set. The four-disc set (yes, that is one more disc than the DVD release from Mill Creek contained, which is unusual given that Blu-ray Disc sets typically contain less discs) will contain the entire first season, along with the original special features, a new green screen feature, and even some episodes from the second season, in high-definition format. As a side note, this marks the very first time that a sitcom from the '90s will appear on Blu-ray. In fact, unless we are forgetting a series (speaking strictly of sitcoms; The Twilight Zone obviously is not a sitcom), this will also be the oldest sitcom to make it to the format so far.

This week, TVShowsOnDVD.com brought some new information to light about a DVD set that has been "in the works" for almost a year now that finally appears to be coming to light. Bob's Burgers - Season One is finally making it in to the "ready to be announced" phase of DVD production, rather than just being mentioned as a "Coming Soon" released in several Fox DVD releases. In other words, the studio finally officially announced it, and set a release date of April 17. You can read more about this release, and the bonus features to be included on the set, by visiting TVShowsOnDVD.com.

UPCOMING WEEK PREVIEW

Tuesday (January 24) is a good day if you are a fan of crime dramas, with the release of another season of a classic crime drama and a collection of movies from another classic crime drama. From CBS Home Entertainment comes Mannix - The Sixth Season, a six-disc set containing every episode of the 1972-1973 season of the series. We have a review of this DVD set in today's Digital Digest. Additionally, Shout! Factory is releasing Kojak - The Complete Movie Collection, an excellent collection of eight (the original pilot and seven post-series) movies featuring the iconic detective. We reviewed this set last weekend in Digital Digest. Finally, there is one sitcom release for Tuesday, with Lionsgate's Meet the Browns - Season 4. You can read our review of this set here.

BLOG FEATURE REVIEW

Blog DVD Review: Mannix - The Sixth Season (CBS DVD, $49.99)

One of America's classic private eyes from the '70s returns to DVD once again with Mannix - The Sixth Season. The six disc set contains all 24 episodes from the 1972-1973 of the action-packed, crime-solving series starring Mike Conners as Joe Mannix, and Gail Fisher as his secretary Peggy Fair, in a six-disc set.

The sixth season begins with "The Open Web," where Mannix leads the manhunt for a gang leader after he escapes from police custody. Mannix is out to investigate who killed an attorney's high-profile client in "The Crimson Halo." A pilot doesn't live to see the presentation of an experimental plane in "Portrait of a Hero." In "To Kill a Memory," an amnesiac soldier believed to be dead suddenly returns. A child's prize winning stamp collection could be motivation for murder in "The Upside Down Penny." In "One Step to Midnight," the granddaughter of an exiled mob boss is being stalked by one of her grandfather's dangerous friends. Crop dusters are missing in "Harvest of Death." Mannix investigates the death of a fellow private eye in "A Puzzle for One," and ends up taking on one of his cases in the meantime.

Mannix has to clear the name of the son of one of Peggy's friends after clues lead to him being the perpetrator of a fatal mugging in "See No Evil." In "A Game of Shadows," Mannix searches for a wanted killer with no identity. A hit-and-run leads to murder accusations for a man in "A Matter of Principle." Peggy goes undercover as a hooker to break up a drug ring in "Out of the Night." In "The Faces of Murder," Mannix must sift through a family of lies after a brother and sister confess to the same crime. A bum's patchwork coat makes him a murder target in "To Quote a Dead Man." The season concludes with "The Danford File," where political blackmail takes an eerie turn when all clues point to the blackmailer being dead.

The episodes appear to be unedited, with runtimes as follows:

Disc 1:
1. "The Open Web" (50:44)
2. "Cry Silence" (50:45)
3. "The Crimson Halo" (50:46)
4. "Broken Mirror" (50:43)

Disc 2:
5. "Portrait of a Hero" (50:45)
6. "The Inside Man" (50:44)
7. "To Kill a Memory" (50:43)
8. "The Upside Down Penny" (50:44)

Disc 3:
9. "One Step to Midnight" (50:42)
10. "Harvest of Death" (50:42)
11. "A Puzzle For One" (50:44)
12. "Lost Sunday" (50:42)

Disc 4:
13. "See No Evil" (50:46)
14. "Light and Shadow" (50:44)
15. "A Game of Shadows" (50:41)
16. "The Man Who Wasn't There" (50:18)

Disc 5:
17. "A Matter of Principle" (50:30)
18. "Out of the Night" (50:32)
19. "Carol Lockwood, Past Tense" (50:25)
20. "The Faces of Murder" (50:25)

Disc 6:
21. "Search for a Whisper" (50:21)
22. "To Quote a Dead Man" (50:25)
23. "A Problem of Innocence" (50:27)
24. "The Danford File" (50:25)

The packaging for this set is just like the previous releases, employing the usual Viva-case. On the cover, we have a large photo of Joe Mannix, along with the set title, and like the previous sets, there are six "bullets" shown on the cover to indicate the sixth season. On the back, there are several episode snapshots, along with a very generic description of the series. Inside, you'll find the six discs, all of which have gray artwork with the series logo on them. Each disc contains exactly four episodes. Also, inside the case, you'll find a listing of all of the episodes, along with descriptions and original airdates.

As has been the case in the previous releases, the menus on this set are actually very nicely done. The main menu on each disc begins with a video sequence similar to the opening credits, while the theme song plays in the background. After a few seconds, you get to the menu, which lists the episodes, along with Play All and Subtitles, on the bottom of the screen, and plays video clips from the episodes on the top of the screen. Once you select an episode, it plays right away. Chapters are placed throughout each episode at all of the appropriate places.

The video and audio quality on this set is excellent. Like most other CBS DVD releases, considerable effort was taken to remaster the episodes to bring them up to current standards as best as possible. There really don't seem to be any major defects in the video or audio, and even grain and debris seems to be kept to a minimum. The black levels on the video seem to be a tiny bit off, but it isn't too bad. The audio is presented in mono, and is mostly loud and clear. Every episode on the set contains English subtitles.

There are no special features on this set at all. It would have been nice to have seen some original promos or something along those lines. Apparently, there is an on-going legal dispute between Mike Connors and CBS regarding royalties on these sets, so I wouldn't expect to see him taking part in any new special features on these sets.

Despite being a barebones set, this is still another great set for the series. I have a feeling that we will certainly see the final two seasons in the upcoming year or so, but they'll likely be barebones sets, just as this one and most of the previous ones have been. It is really too bad, considering that this series is a fan favorite. But it is really nice to see that this series has been coming along rather nicely on DVD. Fans of the series will definitely want to own this release, and if you've never seen the series, you may enjoy it if you are a fan of '70s crime drama. This series is definitely one of the "classics" and has rightfully earned that spot.

CLICK OF THE WEEK

Retroality.tv (www.retroality.tv) - Like last week, we're going more into pop-culture territory again this week than we normally do for our Click of the Week, but it is for a good pop-culture television website. Retroality.tv will certainly appear at first glance to be another blog, just from the perspective of a different person. However, the "different person" who runs this particular blog is Chris Mann, a name that many of our blog readers know. And if you don't know who he is, we'll just tell you who he says he is, described in his own word: "A TV tell-all author and producer, Chris has covered celebrities, controversy, pop culture and health as a freelance writer for the LA Times, TV Guide, emmy, Radar and lifestyle magazines." In other words, he is no bedroom blogger, but he goes out to get the stories, interviews, and covers the celebrities--the good, the bad, and the ugly--as a career. Given that, it should be no surprise what this website is all about.

For the most part, you'll find most of Mann's recent articles from various publications on this website, and a lot of them are about the television stars that we all know and love. You'll also find some original pieces on this website, complete with Mann's ability to uncover parts of the story that we haven't heard before. And just this past October, one of the newest features of the website debuted, the "Retroality.TV Presents Reimagine That! with Chris Mann" podcast, which makes appearances with new episodes roughly once a month. You'll find many interviews and scoops here, and considering that it is still a relatively new feature, there are still a lot of possibilities for the feature as time goes on. So we'd like to suggest that you head on over to Retroality.TV, our Click of the Week.

That's all for this week. Until next time, keep it digital!

The Odd Couple Thanksgiving Day Marathon on WPIX; Reimagine That! Episode 3 with Dianne Kay of Eight is Enough

The Odd Couple

This Thanksgiving join Laurel & Hardy, Oscar & Felix on WPIX-11 in New York. On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24), PIX11 will continue its Thanksgiving tradition and air March of the Wooden Soldiers (9-11am) followed by a 12-episode viewer's choice marathon of The Odd Couple (11am-5pm). The 1934 classic film has the classic comic team of Laurel and Hardy star in this lighthearted version of Victor Herbert's classic operetta about a fantasy world where toys are made and nursery-rhyme characters live. In this rendition, Stan and Ollie help save Toyland from the Bog. Then its 6-hours of The Odd Couple, starring award-winning actors Tony Randall (as neat-freak, Felix) and Jack Klugman (as everyone's favorite slob, Oscar) which ran for 5 seasons (1970-1975.) Vote for your favorite episodes through PIX Rewards (membership required) http://rewards.wpix.com/. The Odd Couple marathon is sponsored by Time Warner Cable. Too bad a national network is not airing this '70s classic, but if you're in the NYC market or get WPIX on satellite, you won't want to miss this classic sitcom marathon!

Our pal Chris Mann of Retroality.tv is back with episode three of his must-listen podcast, Reimagine That! Well, he premiered it on 11/11/11, so it was released a few days ago. Retro pop meets forward thought as Eight is Enough star Dianne Kay (no relation to Reimagine That! announcer Linda Kay) -- in part one of her exclusive, in-depth interview -- opens her heart about her TV dramedy co-stars, including Dick Van Patten, Susan Richardson, Adam Rich, Grant Goodeve, Betty Buckley, Connie Needham-Newton and the late Lani O'Grady and Diana Hyland. The upbeat and funny blonde beauty also talks about surviving kidney cancer last year as well as surviving the pitfalls of Hollywood. And for the first time ever, she talks about being suspended from an episode of Eight is Enough after standing her ground when show writers decided to make her character, Nancy, pose nude for an art gallery and then receive self-esteem talk from the Bradfords after they show up at the gallery. (One word: Ewwww!)
ALSO: Chris discusses the upcoming literary event (tour?!?) titled "Good Girl vs. Bad Girl: Mary McDonough in conversation with Alison Arngrim," in which the respective authors of "Lessons from the Mountain: What I Learned from Erin Walton" and "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch" offer behind-the-scenes dish while discussing the events and issues that shaped them as women and as advocates. Chris also reveals how the Family Feud home game brought strife to his house in the late '70s/early '80s, shares his cinnamon bun-enhanced fascination with actress-author Carrie Fisher (who once followed him on Twitter -- come back, Carrie, come back!), talks about Showtime's hit new dramedy Shameless, exposes his true feelings about having bowl-resistant hair in the Adam-Rich-bowl-a-riffic '70s, and previews his plans for an updated edition of his book "Come and Knock on Door" for the 35th anniversary of Three's Company in 2012 (James Franco, can Chris borrow your "Chrissy" wig?). Chris mentions Eight is Enough and Three's Company on the same show. Add 8 and 3 and you get 11. 11's are wild on 11/11/11!
Finally, in the third installment of a recurring "dream weaver" segment, Chris and dream weaver Yvonne Ryba (http://YvonneRyba.com) talk lions and tigers and bears (oh, my) while encouraging listeners reimagine their own reality via dream interpretation.
Anyway, listed to episode three on iTunes or on YouTube. You might even hear Dianne slap Chris eight times for calling her Nancy!

The King of Queens Comes to TV Land, As Spike TV Drops It; Reimagine That! with Chris Mann Episode 2 With Guest Star Joyce DeWitt

The King of Queens

The King of Queens is heading to TV Land! The Kevin James-led CBS series will air every night from 11pm-1am ET/PT starting tonight, right after a block of Everybody Loves Raymond, another former CBS sitcom (Actually, TV Land quietly premiered the sitcom last night in the 12 midnight hour). How did TV Land quickly get the series? Well, sister network Spike TV launched the series earlier this month, but as of Thursday, they removed the series completely due to low ratings. So TV Land has obtained the series from sister network Spike TV. Maybe this will be a better fit? The King of Queens will continue to air on TBS (and local syndication), as that is another deal, so TV Land and TBS will share the rights.

So what does this mean for the rest of the TV Land schedule? Just some time changes, but we want to let you know that Scrubs was quickly pulled over a week ago for a second hour of Married...with Children. TV Land will continue to air Bonanza from 8-10am (except a movie airs on Mondays). The Dick Van Dyke Show follows from 10:14am-12pm with three episodes, followed by a three-spot of Sanford & Son from 12pm-1:36pm (yes more commercials are added to fill time). The schedule continues with three more airings of Bonanza from 1:36pm-5pm. All of this so far is the same as it is now, but the 5pm hour will now be The Dick Van Dyke Show replacing an hour of M*A*S**H, but that comedy will remain in the 6pm hour. The 7pm hour was Dick Van Dyke, but now will be Married...with Children, as the '90s comedy moves from 8-10pm to 7-9pm. Then as we mentioned, Everybody Loves Raymond is moving to 9-11pm leading into new addition The King of Queens from 11pm-1am. Roseanne will now air in the 1am hour leading into The Nanny from 2am-3:12am. Slapstick comedy Three's Company will now air from 3:12am-4:22am with back-to-back airings. From 4:22am-5:27am, we get another two-episode block of Roseanne. And finally the 5:27am-6am half-hour will be an airing of The Nanny. So late nights hasn't changed much, but Roseanne, The Nanny and Three's Company sees some time changes. Boston Legal was dropped a few weeks ago. Some Friday nights (early Saturday mornings), will see Three's Company from 4:22am-6am.

As for weekends, generally it is the same with Three's Company airing both days from 6am-7:10am. The Nanny airs on Saturdays from 7:10am-11am and Sundays from 7:10am-8:52am. Hot in Cleveland airs on Sundays from 8:52am-11am. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will remain on both days from 11am-2pm. The Dick Van Dyke Show airs on both days from 2pm-4:18pm, with The Andy Griffith Show on Saturdays from 4:18pm-7pm and now M*A*S*H on Sundays from 4:18pm-7pm. Then on Saturdays, its Roseanne for two airings from 3-4am then a block of Three's Company from 4-6am. Sundays will be the same, but has an extra hour of Roseanne instead of Raymond from 1:25am-3am.

As for specials and stunts, TV Land will have a week-long Hot in Cleveland marathon from November 7 through November 11 from 10pm-12am each night. That will shift King of Queens to 12-2am that week, with Raymond airing its second hour from 2-3am. As a reminder, the third season of Hot in Cleveland launches on Wednesday, Nov. 30, followed by the series premiere of The Exes -- more on these soon. Other stunts include a Roseanne Halloween marathon, as we noted before, from 1am-6am on Halloween night and 1am-5am on the night before. TV Land will present a marathon of The King of Queens on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 9pm-2am. And during the 5th Annual Overstuffed Thanksgiving, TV Land serves up four full-days of marathons featuring a delicious mix of retro and modern classics like Three's Company, The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Roseanne and Everybody Loves Raymond. Over the weekend (Nov. 26-27), TV Land delivers a supersized Hot in Cleveland marathon featuring every episode from the hit TV Land original series, from 9am-11pm on both days, together with exclusive tidbits from its newest original sitcom, The Exes, premiering Wednesday, November 30 at 10:30pm! We will have more details on the Overstuffed Thanksgiving marathon schedule soon! And finally, upcoming movies in October and November include Other People's Money, Ghost and The Bodyguard.
View and discuss the updated TV Land schedule, with new addition The King of Queens and these new stunts.

Earlier this month Chris Mann of Retroality.TV launched a new podcast called "Reimagine That!" and his special guest for the premiere was Joyce DeWitt of Three's Company! Well now episode two launched yesterday and Chris has part two of his interview with Joyce, along with much more! Retro pop meets forward thought as Three's Company star Joyce DeWitt, in the conclusion of her in-depth two-part interview, shares her spiritual insights, reveals her "All You Need Is Love" - inspired connection to Beatles-loving John Ritter and tells why she hasn't spoken to co-star Suzanne Somers in 30-plus years -- despite Joyce's repeated efforts to extend an olive branch. She also tells Retroality.TV editor, author and host Chris Mann her fond memories of co-stars Don Knotts, Norman Fell, Audra Lindley, Richard Kline, Priscilla Barnes, Jenilee Harrison and Ann Wedgeworth. And Joyce bares all about still being recognized for having a great pair of L'eggs.

In addition, Chris dissects the cancelation of ABC's reimagined Charlie's Angels and previews his upcoming Wellbella cover story interview with original Angel Cheryl Ladd, who speaks about the new series. And Chris breaks news about Alana Stewart and her attorneys shutting down the Facebook group "Farrah Fawcett: We Want the Truth" -- the same group that orchestrated a letter-writing campaign this summer that apparently led the California State Attorney General's office to open a reported investigation into the Stewart-helmed charitable organization The Farrah Fawcett Foundation. Finally, in the second installment of a recurring "dream weaver" segment, Chris encourages listeners reimagine their own reality with dream interpreter Yvonne Ryba.

So without further adieu, go and listen to episode two of "Reimagine That!"

Nick at Nite Changes Its Primetime Schedule; Reimagine That! with Chris Mann Launches With Guest Star Joyce DeWitt

Last week Nick at Nite changed its primetime line-up a bit with the biggest change being Friends getting a two-hour block from 11pm-1am, now starting this week they changed the schedule a bit more. The 8-11pm block which was My Wife & Kids, George Lopez and That '70s Show will be reshuffled. Instead of that order, That '70s Show will now lead off, moving from 10pm to 8pm. George Lopez moves back to its 10pm home of many years, as My Wife & Kids moves to the 9pm hour. Primetime will lead into Friends from 11pm-1am, followed by the late night block which will remain intact. From 1-2am is That '70s Show, followed by Everybody Hates Chris at 2am, My Wife & Kids at 3am, and George Lopez at 4am. Family Matters will remain at 5am, but as of last week, the 6am hour is now back to more Family Matters, replacing The Nanny, which is off the schedule again. The Nanny is now only on sister network TV Land.
As of now these are all the changes, but if anything else changes, we will let you know. We'll be there for you! (Friends theme song pun intended!)

Our buddy Chris Mann of Retroality.TV has now launched an online podcast series! It's a behind-the-scenes podcast called "Reimagine That! with Chris Mann." The first episode has gone live and has a very special guest star--Joyce DeWitt! We also interviewed Joyce a few months ago, so if you missed that, please read it! As for Chris' show, it's Retro pop meets forward thought as Retroality.TV editor, author and host Chris Mann interviews Three's Company star Joyce DeWitt about the late, great John Ritter, Priscilla Barnes, Suzanne Somers' and Charlie Sheen's acrimonious series exits, James Franco, Richard Kline, late Three's Company executive Don Taffner Sr. and more. Joyce gives her candid views on Hollywood's obse$$ion with "reimagining" TV and movie hits, offers her light-hearted take on her current off-Broadway play Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating and Marriage and tells how she reimagined her own life at age 35 when she embarked on a transformative spiritual odyssey when Three's Company ended. This is only part 1 of Chris' two-part interview with Joyce, as episode two will post in mid-October! So as they say in the TV world, to be continued...
ALSO on the premiere episode podcast: Retroality's story behind the story of controversy surrounding The Farrah Fawcett Foundation and its president, Alana Stewart. And, in the first of a recurring "dream weaver" segment, reimagine your own reality with dream interpreter Yvonne Ryba.
The new program is hosted by our buddy Chris Mann and the announcer is also a buddy of ours, Linda Kay (PerfectStrangers.tv). The program is also created by Chris Mann and produced by Linda Kay and Chris Mann. Congrats to both Chris and Linda on this new podcast and we cannot wait to see what else they have in store!
Listen to episode one and stay with us for more news on "Reimagine That! with Chris Mann."

TV Land June 2010 Has Hot in Cleveland, But No Brady Bunch; An Interview with Mayim Bialik, Who Is On Big Bang Tonight

Now that upfronts are over, we will bring you back news we delayed. TV Land June 2010 is one of those items we delayed. But not to fret, we will give that to you TODAY! TV Land will be making some schedule changes, too. Starting Tuesday, June 1, the morning marathons from 9am-1pm will be removed and an hour of the morning paid programming will also be removed! The 8am hour will now be Boston Legal from Tues-Fri instead of Paid Programming. Then a sitcom block will air from 9am-12pm with an episode of All in the Family and two episodes of each of Good Times and Sanford & Son. There will be extra commercials, so that is why a 30 minute slot is missing. The Brady Bunch was NOT renewed and thus it is off the schedule, as it was airing Thursdays 9am-1pm. Catch its last airing on TV Land this Thursday. At 12pm will now be Gunsmoke, followed by a Bonanza block from 1pm-5pm. On Mondays, movies will air from 8am-12pm, with Bonanza airing 12pm-5pm. And the rest of the changes are in the overnight, with Cosby Show listed from 1am-2:30am, but due to extra commercials it is just 2 episodes. Home Improvement will air two episodes at 2:30am and 3am, while Three's Company gets three from 3:30am-5am. M*A*S*H returns to the 5am hour replacing Boston Legal.
As for the month's highlights, the season finale of How'd You Get So Rich airs Wednesday, June 9 at 10 p.m. The following week (Wednesday, June 16 at 10) has the premiere of sitcom Hot in Cleveland. The sitcom revolves around three fabulous L.A. women of a certain age who are best friends (Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, and Betty White). Their lives are changed forever when their plane – headed for Paris – unexpectedly lands in Cleveland and they soon rediscover themselves in a new "promised land." Loving their new home, the women find themselves living under one roof and battling the sassy caretaker of the property they have rented, played by the inimitable Betty White.
On Wednesday, June 16 at 10:30pm there will be a special. The third season (6 episodes) of TV Land's hit original series She's Got The Look returns Wednesday, August 25 to discover the next supermodel over the age of 35. But before that happens, get a preview of what is to come in season three airs after the premiere of TV Land's first original sitcom--Hot in Cleveland! It's the only airing, so watch it.
On Saturday, June 26 from 9pm-10:30pm, TV Land presents The 38th AFI Life Achievement Award to Mike Nichols, adding yet another high honor to the hefty resume of the award-winning writer, producer and director. Past honorees include Michael Douglas, Meryl Streep and Al Pacino. The AFI Life Achievement award was established in 1973 to honor an individual whose career in motion pictures or TV has greatly contributed to the enrichment of American culture. The criteria state that "the recipient should be one whose talent has in a fundamental way advanced the film art; whose accomplishment has been acknowledged by scholars, critics, professional peers and the general public; and whose work has stood the test of time."
TV Land Monday Movie premieres for June 2010 are 48 Hours, Roxanne, Naked Gun, Beverly Hills Cop III, and Stand By Me. Encore movies this month are Ghostbusters and Another 48 Hours.
View the COMPLETE schedule and information on TV Land June 2010. And we promise TV Land July will come sooner, maybe even this week...stay with us! One question we will answer is...will Good Times return (its contract expires at the end of June)?

Our pal Chris Mann of Retroality.tv has posted a new interview on his groovy website! Chris has posted an interview with Mayim Bialik of Blossom fame (the '90s sitcom) in connection with her appearance on the season finale of the sitcom The Big Bang Theory airing tonight on CBS. She previews her character/episode and talks about Blossom of course, SNL's spoof of her and her show in the '90s, her return to Hollywood and much more! Chris also mentions of the sort of Blossom reunion on 'Til Death earlier this month (that was watched by only less than 2 million people).
View this very interesting interview with Mayim Bialik. Chris does a wonderful job once again, like usual!
