Summer Week 10 Sitcom Ratings; New Sitcoms On Cable This Week

We're in the dog days of summer and we will be back with our normal weekly ratings report with the first four nights numbers and analysis in the fall, but we still will have our regular how the sitcoms did all summer long! Here are our summer ratings:

Summer Week 10 (July 30-August 5) How the Sitcoms Did

Last Sunday Sitcoms (counts for week of July 23-29)

The Simpsons (Fox) 2 airings - A repeat at 8pm did 2.65 million and a 1.2 18-49 rating. A second repeat followed at 8:30 with 2.73 million and a 1.3 18-49 rating. Not too bad vs. the Olympics.
The Cleveland Show (Fox) - A repeat at 7:30pm posted 1.85 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating, which on par what it has been doing this summer.
Bob's Burgers (Fox) - preempted.
Family Guy (Fox) 2 airings - A repeat at 9pm did 3.11 million and a 1.6 18-49 rating, which is great against the Olympics. A second repeat followed with a similar 3.2 million and a 1.6 18-49 rating.
American Dad! (Fox) - A repeat at 7pm did 1.66 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating, which is acceptable vs. the Olympics.

Monday Sitcoms

How I Met Your Mother (CBS) - A repeat did 3.36 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating, down two tenths from previous week. It did face the Olympics, though.
2 Broke Girls (CBS) - A repeat of this comedy did 3.48 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, down three tenths from previous week.
Two and a Half Men (CBS) - A repeat did 4.31 million and only a 1.1 18-49 rating, down five tenths from previous week. Took a hit vs. the Olympics.
Mike & Molly (CBS) - 3.95 million and a 1.1 18-49 rating for a repeat was down three tenths from previous week.

Tuesday Sitcoms

The Middle (ABC) - Tuesday repeats will air for the rest of the summer, in addition to its regular Wednesday airings. The 8pm repeat did 2.75 million and a 0.6 18-49 rating, down two tenths from previous week.
Last Man Standing (ABC) - A repeat of this sitcom followed with 2.07 million and a 0.5 18-49 rating, also down two tenths from previous week.
New Girl (Fox) - preempted.

Wednesday Sitcoms

The Middle (ABC) - A repeat at 8 did 3.07 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating, on par with previous week again despite facing the Olympics...good.
Suburgatory (ABC) - A repeat at 8:30 posted 2.42 million and a 0.7 18-49 rating, down a tenth week-to-week. The comedy will be moving to 9:30pm this Fall.
Up All Night (NBC) - preempted.
Modern Family (ABC) 2 airings - A repeat did 2.93 million and a 0.9 rating, down four tenths from previous week thanks to the Olympics. A second airing followed with a similar 2.94 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, down five tenths from previous week.
Happy Endings (ABC) - preempted.

Thursday Sitcoms

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) - A repeat at 8 did 5.53 million and a 1.4 18-49 rating, down eight tenths from the previous week, taking a big hit vs. the Olympics.
Two and a Half Men (CBS) - A repeat at 8:30pm did 4.78 million and a 1.4 18-49 rating, down five tenths week-to-week, but held 100% of its lead-in this time.
The Office (NBC) - preempted.
Parks and Recreation (NBC) - preempted.
New Girl (Fox) - preempted.

Friday Sitcoms

Whitney (NBC) - preempted, Olympics time.
Community (NBC) - preempted, Olympics time.

Saturday Sitcoms

Rules of Engagement (CBS) - preempted.

Airing tonight (Sunday) are repeats of Fox Animation Domination from 7-10pm.

Summing it up. Repeats of Family Guy-last Sun were impressive for the week. Everything else was OK (such as repeats of The Big Bang Theory, The Middle-Wed) or just plain old terrible (such as repeats of The Middle-Tue, Last Man Standing).

Feeling the repeat blues? Look for original sitcoms on cable this summer, with ABC Family's sophomore season of Melissa & Joey at 8pm all-new this Wednesday. What an underrated family comedy it is. New comedy Baby Daddy starring Chelsea Kane airs at 8:30pm with episode 7. TBS has week four already of new sitcom Sullivan & Son this Thursday at 10pm. It's Cheers meets Sanford & Son, if that makes sense. Also on Wednesdays is TV Land's Hot in Cleveland spin-off series The Soul Man starring Cedric the Entertainer at 10pm followed by new episodes of The Exes at 10:30pm. TV Land has moved Retired at 35 to Wednesdays and is airing at 11pm. FX and Charlie Sheen come together in Anger Management airing Thursdays at 9:30pm. Even on digital TV, Bounce TV airs new comedy Family Time starring Omar Gooding, but it had its season finale on July 23...look for repeats on Bounce TV. All of these are multi-camera comedies, too! New sitcom airings is the perfect way to beat the summer blues!

Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage - "Dirty Hands and a Barbed-Wire Fence" (CBS, 8:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Georgie and Ruben are forced to get their hands dirty when Fred Fagenbacher (Matthew Letscher) tries to run them out of business. Meanwhile, Mandy grows suspicious of Georgie’s lies.

Ghosts - "Soul Custody" (CBS, 8:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Sam, Jay and the ghosts attempt to extricate Jay from his deal with Elias Woodstone (Matt Walsh), the devil. Also, Isaac helps Patience (Mary Holland) through a crisis of confidence and Pete and Alberta navigate the fallout from their kiss.

Animal Control - "Lost Dogs and Bar Flies" (Fox, 9:00PM ET/PT)
Roman Park takes Frank's beloved dog away from him; in an effort to get his dog back, Frank and Shred find themselves on a late-night rescue mission; Patel's house sale spirals.

Going Dutch - "There's No PX Like Home" (Fox, 9:30PM ET/PT)
With the celebration of the U.S.'s 250th birthday coming up, the base's festivities are on the line when their supplies are held up by a petty and vengeful Davidson; Team Shiny must pull off a daring undercover mission.
