TV Land January 2010: Home Improvement Joins; ABC Moves Ugly Betty to Wednesdays Starting Jan. 6, Shark Tank Returns
High School Reunion is back! This season, the self–proclaimed "Summer Girls" clique is out to prove they have the hottest bodies on Kauai when TV Land premieres the third season of its hit reality series High School Reunion. Beginning January 13, 2010 at 10PM ET/PT, the class of '89 from Chaparral High School, Las Vegas reunites and these "Sin City" classmates are sexier than ever, bringing more drama, more partying and of course, more hook-ups.
It's a Brady Bunch marathon and a movie on Monday, Jan. 18! Kick things off with classic episodes at 9am and the big screen movie premiere of The Brady Bunch Movie on TV Land at 12 noon followed by more classic episodes and the movie once again at 6pm! Groovy!
And finally there will be plenty of movie premieres besides The Brady Bunch Movie! On New Year's Day from 9am-4:30pm, premieres of Twelve Angry Men, A Few Good Men and Armed & Dangerous will air. Regular Friday PRIME movies airing in January are premieres of Groundhog Day and Cliffhanger. A few movies will premiere on Saturday morning as well (Peggy Sue Got Married and A River Runs Through It). And movie encores include Saturday Night Fever and Dead Poet's Society.
View the full TV Land January 2010 schedule and highlights. As a preview, Boston Legal will join TV Land in February airing Monday nights from 9pm-12am starting Feb. 15...stay tuned for more on that when it is official!
Ugly Betty is moving to Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m., ET beginning January 6, 2010, rounding out ABC Comedy Wednesday. Shark Tank will return to the schedule on Friday, January 8 at 9:00 p.m., ET, in Betty's current Friday slot. Ugly Betty still has two episodes left on Friday, and they are both very good with The Bahamas episode this Friday and the Christmas one next Friday. Then the next episode will air on its new night and time starting Jan. 6, following ABC Comedy Wednesday sitcoms. It will directly follow Cougar Town starring Courtney Cox, which will have Lisa Kudrow guest starring on Jan. 6 in a mini-Friends reunion! Should be a big night!
As for Shark Tank, the series will return for its final five episodes of the season, as the season finale will air on Friday, Feb. 5. If these do well, ABC will order a second season, I'm sure. But I think it should air in the summer. When airing on Tuesdays at 8 earlier this fall, it grew each week in its timeslot. It also did decent in its Sunday at 9 timeslot in August. Finally, don't forget, as we previously announced, repeats of Shark Tank will also air Saturdays at 5pm ET on ABC afternoons starting Jan. 9.
Stay with us for the full ABC winter schedule very soon. Tuesdays at 8pm is still to be determined in January.
