Dropping January 27, 2026 on Netflix. January is a big month for Epps. As mentioned above, Netflix's long-running sitcom, The Upshaws, returns with its final season on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Max has given a 15-episode, straight-to-series order for The Pitt, a new drama starring and executive produced by five-time Emmy(R) Award nominee Noah Wyle (ER, The Librarian franchise, Falling Skies). Emmy(R) nominee R. Scott Gemmill (NCIS: Los Angeles, ER, JAG) will serve as showrunner of the new series, from John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today's America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.

The Upshaws Renewed for Season Prior to Season 5 Launch; Fox Holiday Movie with Justin Long

Netflix announced that the hit scripted comedy series The Upshaws has been renewed for Part 6, with production on the 10-episode season beginning next year. Additionally, The Upshaws Part 5 is on the way, with 6 new episodes of the series slated to premiere in Spring 2024. Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps), the head of a Black working class family in Indianapolis, is a charming, well-intentioned mechanic and lifelong mess just trying his best to step up and care for his family - wife Regina (Kim Fields), their two young daughters (Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine) and firstborn son (Jermelle Simon), the teenage son he fathered with another woman -- and tolerate his sardonic sister-in-law (Wanda Sykes), all without a blueprint for success. But the Upshaws are determined to make it work, and make it to the next level, together. In this upcoming part, the Upshaws continue to ride life's ups and downs, including new jobs, bigger dreams, health struggles and some major life surprises but still hanging on with the love that comes with family.

Fox and MarVista Entertainment team up for a new holiday moving airing Dec. 21 on Fox! Justin Long and India Mullen star as a couple who travels to Ireland for Christmas, where her large extended family force them to confront their marital differences! When couple Jack (Justin Long) and Caroline (India Mullen) travel to Caroline's native Ireland for Christmas, they find themselves at a crossroads in their marriage: Jack is ready for kids, and Caroline isn't. Will spending Christmas with Caroline's big Irish family make them realize they're ready for a family of their own? Or will it scare them away from the idea of having kids altogether? All-new movie from MarVista Entertainment, The Christmas Break airs on Thursday, December 21 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox!

Never Have I Ever Season 3 Premieres August 12; Netflix's The Upshaws Return in June

Season 3 of the critically-acclaimed Mindy Kaling comedy series Never Have I Ever will return to Netflix on August 12. 10 half-hour episodes will be released for Season 3 on Friday, August 12. In Season 3 of the coming-of-age comedy Never Have I Ever, Indian American teenager Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school and drama at home, while also navigating new romantic relationships. Never Have I Ever is created by executive producer Mindy Kaling, with Lang Fisher serving as co-creator, executive producer, showrunner and writer. Never Have I Ever is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and executive produced by 3 Arts Entertainment's Howard Klein and David Miner. One other note, the following season, Season 4, will be the final season and premiere sometime in 2023.

Abbott Elementary Scoring Big in Multi-Platform Viewing; Fox Announces Celebrities for Name That Tune Season 2

The time-period premiere and second telecast of ABC's Abbott Elementary from Tuesday, Jan. 4 hit 9.0 million Total Viewers and scored a 2.93 rating among Adults 18-49 after 35 days of viewing across linear and digital platforms. In fact, the second episode of Abbott Elementary stood as ABC's highest-rated comedy telecast (new or returning) in nearly 2 years with Adults 18-49 (2.93 rating) – since the 4/8/20 series finale of Modern Family. Abbott Elementary jumped over its December series debut by 27% in Total Viewers (9.0 million vs. 7.1 million) and by 24% with Adults 18-49 (2.93 rating vs. 2.37 rating). After 35 days of multiplatform viewing, Abbott Elementary grew by +5.6 million Total Viewers over its Live+Same Day average (3.4 million to 9.0 million) and soared by +358% among Adults 18-49 over its initial rating (2.93 rating vs. 0.64 rating).

From creator, executive producer and star Quinta Brunson, and executive producers Justin Halperin and Patrick Schumacker, comes Abbott Elementary, a workplace comedy following a group of dedicated, passionate teachers - and a slightly tone-deaf principal - as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Netflix Sitcom The Upshaws Premieres on Wednesday (May 12); Hallmark Channel Sitcom Schedule Changes

New Netflix comedy The Upshaws starring Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps premieres this Wednesday, May 12. In the multi-camera sitcom, a working-class family in Indiana struggles to make it work and make it right without the blueprint to do it. In addition to starring in the series, it will also be executive produced by Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes. The series also stars Kim Fields, in which we announced last year that she had been cast in this sitcom. The sitcom stars Wanda Sykes as Lucretia, Mike Epps as Bennie, Diamond Lyons as Kelvin Upshaw, Jermelle Simon as Bernard Upshaw, Journey Christine as Maya Upshaw, Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins as Aaliyah Upshaw, Gabrielle Dennis as Tasha Lewis, Page Kennedy as Duck and Kim Fields as Regina, Bennie's high school sweetheart. Speaking of Kim Fields, UrbanflixTV has secured Actress/Director Kim Fields to Executive Produce/Direct their new series Vicious. Kim Fields, is of course known for her roles in classic sitcoms like The Facts of Life and Living Single, and more recently, starred in and served as an executive producer on Lifetime's You Light Up My Christmas, and the aforementioned sitcom The Upshaws. Additionally, she has served as director for All the Queens Men for BET, Young Dylan for Nickelodeon and House of Payne for TBS.




Last Man Standing, Reba, The Golden Girls and Frasier

As of last week, sitcoms will be replacing movies Monday through Wednesday on The Hallmark Channel daytime lineup. Mondays from 2pm-10pm is Last Man Standing, which had returned to the schedule. Tuesdays from 12pm-10pm is Reba, while Wednesdays from 2pm-1am is The Golden Girls. Sunday-Friday nights from 1am-5am is a four-hour block of Frasier for six straight nights. And now, as of today, May 10, Reba will be replacing Home & Family encore episodes Monday through Wednesday at 11am, so on these three days Reba is now 11am-2pm (and actually on Tuesdays it is 11am-10pm). These are just the changes to the line-up, sitcoms are still airing in other dayparts such as The Golden Girls weekdays 7am-10am and 10pm-1am and Reba weekdays 5-7am.

The CW Spring and Summer 2020 Schedule; Kim Fields Joins Netflix Sitcom

Stargirl - In the Dark - The 100

The CW Network announced premiere dates for the broadcast debut of the brand new DC Universe series Stargirl, the second season of summer drama In the Dark and the seventh and final season of The 100. New series Stargirl, starring Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson and Amy Smart, will make its CW debut on Tuesday, May 12 at 9:00pm ET/PT, one day after it makes its digital debut on the DC Universe subscription service (Monday, May 11). On Tuesday, May 26, Stargirl will move one hour earlier to the 8:00pm time period for the remainder of its season. The 100 will begin its seventh and final season on Wednesday, May 20 at 8:00pm ET/PT. The second season of In the Dark, starring Perry Mattfeld, will premiere on Thursday, May 28 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

The new DC Universe drama series Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (series star Brec Bassinger, Bella and the Bulldogs, School of Rock, The Goldbergs) as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series. The series focuses on the character that started creator Geoff Johns' career as a comic book writer when he created her in 1999, lovingly inspired by his late sister who was killed in a 1996 plane explosion. The series stars Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Trae Romano, Cameron Gellman, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Jake Austin Walker, Christopher James Baker and Hunter Sansone.


Kim Fields

The one and only Kim Fields (The Facts of Life, Living Single) is joining the cast of the upcoming Netflix sitcom The Upshaws, which also stars the executive producers Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes. Fields will (hilariously) play Regina, Epps' high school sweetheart. Mike and Wanda bring their distinct voices to this multi-camera comedy that centers on a working-class African American family in Indiana struggling to make it work and make it right without the blueprints to do it. Decades Celebrates Bob Newhart's 90th Birthday with Big Marathon; Wanda Sykes & Mike Epps Get Netflix Sitcom

DECADES television network will honor the 90th birthday and enduring comedic style of Primetime Emmy Award winner Bob Newhart with a weekend binge of his most celebrated primetime series: The Bob Newhart Show, Newhart and Bob. DECADES will present 82 select episodes spanning each eponymous series, along with interviews from The Dick Cavett Show, starting Saturday, September 7 at 1:00PM ET, and continuing through Monday, September 9 at 7:00AM ET. In November, The Paley Center for Media will present Newhart with the Paley Honors Award for his enduring impact on television comedy. Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes are set to star in the new comedy series, The Upshaws.
