The Office Spinoff The Paper Premieres September 4; Upload Season 4 Returns August 25

Finally some good news. The Paper arrives September 4 on Peacock. The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series The Office find a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it. The Paper premieres with four episodes on September 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday through September 25.
Greg Daniels (The Office) produces under his banner Deedle-Dee Productions, and Michael Koman (Nathan for You). Executive Producers: Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman and Banijay Americas (formerly Reveille).

In the four-part series finale event, sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world!). The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time. Laff Fall 2023 Schedule with Last Man Standing and Man with a Plan; Upload Returns October 20

Starting today, Laff will add Last Man Standing and Man with a Plan to its comedy line-up. Last Man Standing will air weekdays from 12-2pm & 7-9pm and Man with a Plan will air for an hour from 2-3pm & 11pm-12am. Man with a Plan will enter syndication for the first time. It has 69 episodes and aired originally from 2016-2020 on CBS. Man with a Plan stars Golden Globe Award winner Matt LeBlanc in a comedy about a contractor who starts spending more time with his kids when his wife goes back to work and discovers the truth every parent eventually realizes: their little angels are maniacs. Adam (LeBlanc) feels fully equipped to take on more parenting responsibilities while his self-assured wife, Andi, returns to the work force after being a stay at home mom for 13 years. Of course Last Man Standing aired from 2011-2021 (on ABC, then Fox) starring Tim Allen and airs on various networks in reruns along with local syndication.
Laff will continue to air According to Jim, Home Improvement, That '70s Show, Grounded for Life, Everybody Hates Chris, and ALF on weekdays. On Saturday mornings, they air The Ghost and Mrs. Muir from 6am-10am.

ABC Fall 2023 Premiere Dates and Revised Schedule; Upload Season 3 Returns October 20

ABC has revised its fall schedule and announced premiere dates for Wed-Sun. The Golden Bachelor will move from Mondays at 10 to Thursdays at 8, while Bachelor in Paradise goes from Tuesdays 9-11pm to Thursdays 9-11pm. Celebrity Jeopardy! will now kick-off Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune slides up to Thursdays at 9 instead of 8pm. $100,000 Pyramid sticks with 10pm on Thursdays, as does Shark Tank (Fridays at 8), 20/20 (Fridays 9-11p), AFV (Sundays at 7) and The Wonderful World of Disney (Sundays 8-11pm). Missing on the schedule right now is Dancing with the Stars (likely being moved to Tuesdays 8-10pm), Judge Steve Harvey, Press Your Luck, Abbott Elementary encores and What Would You Do? and PYL likely will air after DWTS at 10, if that should happen. ABC could be getting more MNF NFL games on Mondays, so possibly on the days there are no games it could be Judge Steve, Abbott encores and WWYD. Premiere dates so far:

NBC Orders Lopez vs. Lopez Sitcom for 2022-23 Season; Amazon Renews Upload for Season 3

After picking up Quantum Leap last week, NBC has ordered another new series for 2022-23, this time a multi-camera sitcom: Lopez vs. Lopez. The George Lopez sitcom will join already ordered multi-camera sitcom Night Court for 2022-23. From Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, Mohawk Productions, Travieso Productions, Mi Vida Loba and 3 Arts, W/EP Debby Wolfe, Supervising W/EP Bruce Helford, NW/EP Katie Newman, NW/EP Michael Rotenberg and Talent/EP George Lopez & Mayan Lopez. The series will star George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively, Laci Mosley (recurring) and Kiran Deol (recurring). In the series, a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between. The series will air on NBC and will be available next day on Peacock. Dads Documentary to Premiere on Apple TV+ on June 19; Amazon Picks Up 2nd Season of Upload

Apple has unveiled that new documentary and official selection of the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, Dads, is set to make its global premiere just in time for Father’s Day on Friday, June 19, exclusively on Apple TV+.
Dads is a heartfelt and humorous documentary that celebrates the joys and challenges of parenting in today's world. Featuring six extraordinary fathers from across the globe, this film offers a firsthand glimpse into the trials and tribulations of modern-day parenting through revealing interviews, rare home-movie footage, viral videos, and hilarious and thoughtful testimonials from some of Hollywood’s funniest celebrities, including Judd Apatow, Jimmy Fallon, Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Ron Howard (The Andy Griffith Show/Happy Days), Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken/Community), Jimmy Kimmel, Hasan Minaj, Conan O’Brien, Patton Oswalt (The Goldbergs/The King of Queens), Will Smith (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) and more. Making her feature directorial debut, Bryce Dallas Howard also offers an intimate look at the dads in her own family, including remarkable interviews with her late grandfather Rance, her father Ron and her brother Reed.

Amazon Studios announced that it has renewed Upload for a second season of the sci-fi comedy series from the award-winning, beloved creator Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation). Season two will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. Upload premiered last Friday, May 1, and it has been a worldwide success with Prime Video customers.
Upload takes place in the near future, where people can be "uploaded" into a virtual afterlife of their choice. The series follows a young app developer, Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), who winds up in the hospital following a self-driving car accident, needing to quickly decide his fate. After a rushed deliberation with his shallow girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards), he chooses to be uploaded to her family's luxurious virtual afterlife, the Horizen company's "Lakeview." Once uploaded in Lakeview, Nathan meets his customer service "Angel" Nora Anthony (Andy Allo), who at first is his charismatic concierge and guide, but quickly becomes his friend and confidante, helping him navigate this new digital extension of life. The series was created by Greg Daniels who also serves as executive producer along with Howard Klein, and also stars Kevin Bigley and Zainab Johnson.
