SitcomsOnline Digest: The Upshaws Renewed for 12 Final Episodes; Beavis and Butt-Head Moving to Comedy Central

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! This week, we are hearing of the renewal of a Netflix series, new Beavis and Butt-Head episodes (including a third season that will debut on Comedy Central), and more. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

  • The whole idea of "seasons" and "parts" honestly has us a bit confused, but it seems that The Upshaws has gotten a final renewal on Netflix. (Deadline)
  • It may just be a last ditch effort to save cable, but when the third season of Beavis and Butt-Head debuts next year, it'll first debut on Comedy Central instead of Paramount+ (and also, the second season will debut on Comedy Central next month as well). (Variety)
  • Christina Applegate is opening up on what life is like living with multiple sclerosis, and not surprisingly, it isn't pleasant. (Hollywood Reporter)
  • Dick Van Dyke has become the oldest person to win a Daytime Emmy, for his work on Days of Our Lives. (Variety)
  • It seems that Kathie Lee Gifford wanted to be part of the cast of Charlie's Angels, but an agent told her she wasn't pretty enough. (Deadline)
  • A reboot of the USA series White Collar is in the works, it seems. (Entertainment Weekly)
  • The CW has renewed some series. (SitcomsOnline)

WEEKLY PLANNER (JUNE 8 - JUNE 14)

  • Catchy Comedy has a Family Affair binge this weekend.
  • It actually debuted last week, but the FX miniseries Clipped, with Ed O'Neill playing former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, is available to watch on Hulu.
