Hulu and Sony Pictures Television have ordered a second season of comedy series Future Man. The second season episode order will be of 13 episodes. In the series, Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) stars as "Josh Futturman," a janitor by day/gamer by night who is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time in order to prevent the extinction of humanity. The series also stars Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Haley Joel Osment, Keith David and Ed Begley Jr. The first season episodes were released in November on Hulu. And finally, Hulu has also picked-up a second season of drama Marvel's Runaways from ABC Signature Studios. The second season episode order will be of 13 episodes. In this series, every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? Marvel's Runaways is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe - their parents. This series stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Allegra Acosta, Annie Wersching, Ryan Sands, Angel Parker, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Kevin Weisman, Brigid Brannagh, James Yaegashi, Brittany Ishibashi, and Kip Pardue. The first season finale was just released this week (Jan. 9).

Well, it's not Spin City, but Michael J. Fox is returning to politics TV. Esteemed actor and activist Michael J. Fox is joining The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studio's Designated Survivor on ABC for a five-episode arc in which Fox will guest star as Ethan West, a high-flying and connected Washington attorney who is hired by the President's Cabinet and ultimately appointed as special prosecutor to investigate former President Cornelius Moss's alleged leak of classified information. West is a hyper-competitive, wily, relentless lawyer who plays his cards close to the vest and whose only allegiance is to his mandate - a single-mindedness that makes him an unpredictable and formidable adversary for President Tom Kirkman, played by Emmy Award(R)-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland. Following a shocking and surprising winter finale, Designated Survivor returns with all-new episodes on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 10:00 p.m. EST.

Designated Survivor stars Kiefer Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, Paulo Costanzo as Lyor Boone, Adan Canto as Aaron Shore, Italia Ricci as Emily Rhodes, LaMonica Garrett as Mike Ritter, Zoe McLellan as Kendra Daynes, Ben Lawson as Damian Rennett, Kal Penn as Seth Wright and Maggie Q as Hannah Wells.

LAFF, the country's first-ever, over-the-air broadcast television network devoted to comedy around-the-clock, launched yesterday, Weds. April 15 and in time for its' debut has licensed the broadcast television rights to all six seasons and 145 episodes of the popular sitcom Spin City from Paramount Worldwide Television Licensing & Distribution. Michael J. Fox headlines Spin City, which takes a hilarious look inside the New York City mayor's office. The series also features Heather Locklear, Barry Bostwick, Richard Kind, Alan Ruck and Connie Britton, with Charlie Sheen joining the cast for the series' final two seasons. Spin City was nominated multiple times for the Golden Globe(R) for Best TV Series - Comedy/Musical and Michael J. Fox won three Golden Globe(R) Awards and an Emmy(R) for his portrayal of Deputy Mayor Mike Flaherty.

The addition of Spin City brings LAFF's tally to nearly 1000 episodes of popular contemporary sitcoms, including The Drew Carey Show, Night Court, Ellen DeGeneres' first sitcom Ellen, Empty Nest and Grace Under Fire. So when do these sitcoms air? Empty Nest airs weekdays 10-11am, 2-3am and 5-6am. Ellen airs weekdays 11am-12pm and 5-6pm. Spin City airs weekdays 4-5pm and 8-9pm. Grace Under Fire airs weekdays 6-7pm and 1-2am. And The Drew Carey Show rules primetime with airings weekdays from 7-8pm, 9-10pm and 12-1am. Movies air in the remaining timeslots on weekdays. On weekends, Empty Nest airs 6-7am on both days, Spin City airs Saturdays 7-8pm, followed by The Drew Carey Show in prime from 8-9pm and Drew Carey's Improv-a-ganza from 9-10pm. On Sundays Empty Nest airs 7-8pm, followed by Ellen from 8-9pm and Grace Under Fire from 9-10pm. Like weekdays, movies air in the remaining timeslots. Night Court hasn't been scheduled yet.

LAFF is available to half the country -- including in 18 of the top 25 markets - with even more markets to be added shortly. Netflix announced that there will be a season four of Orange Is the New Black, coming exclusively to Netflix in 2016. #SorryNotSorry - But first, your favorite inmates from Litchfield Correctional Institution are back for an all new season (season 3) exclusively on Netflix beginning Friday, June 12. Piper, Red, Crazy Eyes, Taystee, Poussey, Sophia, Nicky, Daya, Gloria, Big Boo, Pennsatucky and all of Litchfield's ladies are back for more drama and laughter...as Alex makes her return and a new inmate, Stella (Ruby Rose) joins the gang. Orange Is the New Black has garnered more than 20 awards including three Emmy Awards, two SAG Awards, two AFI honors, three Critic's Choice Television Awards, one NAACP Image Award, one PGA Award, two GLAAD Media Awards, and is a recipient of a Peabody Award and a Television Critics' Association (TCA) Award.

Late last week we gave you the FX Fall 2013 schedule and we promised we would give you the FXX launch schedule this week... and we will deliver that to you today! FXX will launch on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 with a marathon of Parks & Recreation, as we already mentioned. The marathon of the comedy will air from 7am-12am, as the sitcom makes its off-network debut (it will also be on WGN America this Fall and the upcoming new network Esquire). The next show airing on launch day will be four episodes of the '90s comedy Mad About You from 12am-2am. We mentioned a couple of times that FXX will air some older comedies and this is one of them. The schedule is more than just the previously announced How I Met Your Mother, Sports Night, Freaks & Geeks, Rescue Me and Arrested Development. The actual regular schedule will launch on Tuesday, Sept. 3, with the Michael J. Fox (and later Charlie Sheen) comedy Spin City airing seven days a week from 7-9am. Spin City was previously on FX but it hasn't aired in recent months. Then the new acquisition Mad About You will air weekdays from 9am-11am. From 11am-1pm (except at 12pm) will be another new buy with the sitcom The Hughleys starring D.L. Hughley. Encores of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell will air in the 12pm half-hour. From 1pm-5pm, we get more sitcoms, as back-to-back episodes of Sports Night, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother and Parks & Recreation will air for an hour each. At 5pm, another encore of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell will air leading into Anger Management reruns. From 6pm-2am, the schedule varies each day. From 6-8pm on Mondays, a block of Anger Management will air, while movies will air on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Parks & Recreation rounds out the week on Thursdays and Fridays. From 8-11pm, Parks & Recreation will air Mondays, while How I Met Your Mother airs on Thursdays. Movies air the rest of the week in the block, with originals on Wednesdays from 10-11pm of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League (both premiere on Sept. 4).

In late night on weeknights, the Mon-Thurs talk show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell will air at 11pm starting on Sept. 4. From 11:30am-2am the schedule really varies with a mix of Mad About You, Rescue Me, encores of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League, along with Arrested Development and Sports Night. On weekends, it is mostly filled with movies, but both days start off with comedies. Freaks & Geeks will air on Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm. while the rest of the comedy line-up are more plays of series they air during the week like Spin City, Mad About You, Sports Night, How I Met Your Mother and Arrested Development. Other notable items for FXX Fall 2013 includes as mentioned the new seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League now moved to FXX on Wednesdays from 10-11pm into the Mon-Thurs run of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. The line-up will launch after the broadcast premiere of the movie Bad Teacher on Sept. 4 from 8-10pm. The broadcast premiere of Friends with Benefits will air the following week (Sept. 11) into the block. The rest of the month has premieres of Hall Pass and 30 Minutes or Less - all airing Wednesdays at 8.

Emmy® Award-winning actress Jaime Pressly has been cast in the lead role for TV Land's new sitcom pilot Jennifer Falls. Pressly, best known for her work on the NBC series My Name is Earl, will play the lead character, Jennifer Doyle, in this multi-camera pilot. Jennifer Falls revolves around a career woman and mother (Pressly) who must move back in with her own mom after being let go from her high-powered, six-figure salary job. With her teenage daughter in tow, Jennifer has to face her new life, trying to reconnect with old friends in her hometown and making ends meet as a waitress in her brother's bar. The pilot is written, created and executive produced by Matthew Carlson (The Wonder Years, Malcolm in the Middle), with Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis (Reba, The Exes) also serving as executive producers.

TV Land's current line-up of original sitcoms airs Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT and includes the hit series Hot in Cleveland, The Exes and The Soul Man. The series have received several awards and accolades including two 2013 Creative Arts Emmy® nominations: one for Hot in Cleveland and the other for The Exes. All of these series star pop culture icons and fan favorites including Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, Jane Leeves, Kristen Johnston, Donald Faison, Wayne Knight, David Alan Basche, Kelly Stables, Cedric "The Entertainer," Niecy Nash and Wesley Jonathan. This December, TV Land will debut its newest original series, Kirstie, which stars Kirstie Alley, Michael Richards, Rhea Perlman and Eric Petersen. Late last Friday NBC announced its Fall 2013 premiere dates, becoming the second network to announce dates (CBS was the first). NBC will start the season on the traditional opening night of the season - the first Monday of the season on Monday, Sept. 23. The Blacklist, starring James Spader as an international criminal who works with a rookie FBI agent in order to bring down some of the world's most wanted, begins Monday, Sept. 23 at 10 p.m., immediately following the fifth-season two-hour premiere of The Voice at 8 p.m. that will reunite the four original coaches: Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. It will have its season finale on Dec. 16. Moving on to Tuesdays, The Voice will air a special two hours of blind auditions on September 24 from 8:00-10:00pm ET/PT. Then the series will move into its one hour slot starting at 9:00pm ET/PT starting October 8th through its finale on December 17. The Voice will be followed at 10:00pm ET/PT by returning sophomore drama Chicago Fire on a new night starting September 24. Earlier in the night, The Biggest Loser premieres on Tuesday, October 8 at 8:00pm ET/PT, now cut down to one-hour. NBC has not yet announced what will air from 8-10pm on October 1.

Onto Wednesdays, returning drama Revolution moves to a new night and time on Wednesday nights starting September 25f at 8:00pm ET/PT and will be followed on the night of September 25 only at 9:00pm ET/PT and 10:00pm ET/PT with back-to-back originals of Law & Order: SVU. The following week, Ironside starring Blair Underwood, premieres on October 2 at 10:00pm ET/PT, as SVU moves to its normal 9:00pm ET/PT hour. Thursdays will start off with comedies as usual. On September 26, Thursday night comedy veteran Parks & Recreation kicks off the night with back-to-back all-new episodes at 8:00 and 8:30pm ET/PT, followed by the two episode premiere of the new comedy The Michael J. Fox Show at 9:00pm ET/PT and 9:30pm ET/PT. Parks & Recreation will air regularly in the 8:00pm half-hour, while The Michael J. Fox Show airs in the 9:30pm half-hour. The 8:30pm ET/PT and 9:00pm ET/PT comedies will launch beginning on October 3 with new family comedies Welcome to the Family and Sean Saves the World, respectively. Premiering on September 26 at 10:00pm ET/PT will be the returning drama Parenthood on its new night. As for Fridays, beginning September 27 and continuing through October 18, Dateline NBC will air from 9:00-11:00 pm ET/PT. Then on October 25, Dateline NBC moves to just the 8:00pm ET/PT hour, as the season premiere of Grimm at 9:00pm ET/PT and the new drama Dracula at 10:00pm ET/PT will begin. Prior to October 25, encores of programs will air in the 8:00pm ET/PT hour. As usual, Saturdays will be filled with repeats. On September 28 an encore of Chicago Fire will air at 8:00pm ET/PT, but then Ironside encores will take over this time period starting Oct. 12 It will be followed at 9:00pm ET/PT by encores of The Blacklist and SNL at 10:00pm ET/PT, both starting Sept. 28. And finally, Sundays of course in the fall are Sunday Night Football airings.

Meanwhile, The CW Network has also just announced its Fall 2013 premiere dates and it will strategically roll-out its Fall 2013 launch this October with the premieres of three new series and returning favorites on new nights. The CW returns to Bluebell, Alabama for a third season of Southern charm and hospitality with Rachel Bilson in Hart of Dixie kicking the new CW season off on Monday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by the epic romance of Beauty & the Beast, starring Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan, on a new night at 9:00 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, October 9, Stephen Amell dons the green hood for the second season of The CW's most-watched series Arrow at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by the action-packed adventure of new series The Tomorrow People at 9:00 p.m. ET, starring Robbie Amell. On Thursdays, The CW's number one series in its key demos, The Vampire Diaries, returns for another season of highly addictive drama on October 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by the highly anticipated new series Reign at 9:00 p.m. ET, starring Adelaide Kane as Mary, Queen of Scots. Tuesdays will begin a week later on October 15, as The CW kicks off its new Tuesday night with The Originals at 8:00 p.m. ET as the original family from The Vampire Diaries, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt), find a new home in New Orleans, a city now run by Klaus's former protégée Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). The Winchester brothers of Supernatural – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) – move to their new home on Tuesday at 9:00 pm ET to try and help out Tuesdays. Anna Sophia Robb returns as the iconic Carrie Bradshaw in The Carrie Diaries on Friday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m. ET followed by America's Next Top Model: Guys & Girls, which premieres on August 2, as previously announced.

Television writer and producer, best known for his work on Family Ties and Spin City, has died. He died after a long battle with brain cancer in Montecito, California on June 22. Mr. Goldberg was 68.

Goldberg's career in Hollywood began in 1976 as a writer for The Bob Newhart Show. His early writing credits included The Dumplings, Phyllis, Alice and M*A*S*H. Goldberg worked as a story editor, writer and producer on The Tony Randall Show, which aired on ABC and later CBS from 1976-1978. He next worked as a writer and producer for Lou Grant, which was a CBS newspaper drama and a spinoff from The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for his work as a co-producer on the series. In 1979, he created and executive produced the short-lived sitcom The Last Resort for CBS.

In 1982, he formed his own production company called Ubu Productions. The company was named after his black labrador retriever, Ubu Roi, which he had in college. The famous closing logo included the dog's picture with Goldberg's voice saying "Sit, Ubu, sit! ...Good dog!", followed by the sound of a bark. Ubu Productions' notable television series included Family Ties, Brooklyn Bridge and Spin City.

Goldberg created Family Ties in 1982. The series starred Meredith Baxter-Birney, Michael Gross, Michael J. Fox, Justine Bateman and Tina Yothers. The critical and ratings hit ran on NBC for 7 seasons and 180 episodes from 1982-1989. Family Ties was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series 4 times from 1984-1987. Michael J. Fox won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series 3 times in 1986-1988. In 1987, Goldberg shared an Emmy Award with co-writer Alan Uger for the episode 'A', My Name Is Alex. The series won the Fan Favorite Award at the TV Land Awards in 2011.

In 1991, he created the semi-autobiographical series Brooklyn Bridge. The dramedy ran for 2 seasons on CBS from 1991-1993. The series starred Marion Ross, Danny Gerard, Louis Zorich, Amy Aquino, Peter Friedman, Matthew Louis Segel, Adam LaVorgna and Jenny Lewis. Brooklyn Bridge won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy/Musical series in 1992.

Goldberg co-created and executive produced Spin City. The series reunited him with Michael J. Fox and also starred Barry Bostwick, Alan Ruck, Richard Kind, Alexander Chaplin, Connie Britton and Michael Boatman. Fox received 4 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and won in 2000. Goldberg worked as an executive producer in seasons 1-3 and 5-6.

His other credits included creating the 1987-1988 NBC drama The Bronx Zoo, which starred Ed Asner. In 1996, he created the 1996 sitcom Champs for ABC. He created the short-lived sitcom Battery Park for NBC in 2000. His other television writing credits included Making the Grade, Day by Day and Sugar Hill. In 1989, he wrote, directed and produced the feature film Dad, which starred Ted Danson, Jack Lemmon and Olympia Dukakis. He also wrote and produced Bye Bye Love in 1995 and Must Love Dogs in 2005. In 2008, he published his autobiography titled Sit, Ubu, Sit: How I Went from Brooklyn to Hollywood with the Same Woman, the Same Dog, and a Lot Less Hair.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Meehan; two daughters, Shana Silveri and Cailin Goldberg-Meehan; a brother; and three grandchildren. Michael J. Fox said in a statement: "With a full heart I say goodbye to my mentor, benefactor, partner, second father and beloved friend. He touched so many with his enormous talent and generous spirit. He changed my life profoundly."

We thank him for the wonderful television series he created. Hopefully Brooklyn Bridge will be released on DVD one day. It's a series that deserves to be seen again. He will be greatly missed.

ReelzChannel, TV About Movies, announced that all six seasons of the three-time Emmy Award® winning satirical sitcom The Larry Sanders Show will air on REELZ, premiering Monday, March 4 at 1pm ET/10am PT. New episodes will air back-to-back Monday-Thursday in one hour comedy blocks at 1pm ET/10am PT and again at 2am ET/11pm PT. It will replace an hour of Spin City at 1pm ET/10am PT. What will the rest of the schedule look like? We will let you know very soon, but right now among the comedies that air on Reelz are Wings, Becker and Spin City, as Cheers, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Coach have recently been dropped. Meanwhile, Larry Sanders is also seen weeknights on VH-1 Classic.

Fox's Tuesday adorkable sitcom starring Zooey Deschanel airs Tuesday nights at 9:00pm and we have just watched the next episode that airs tonight (Feb. 5). And we continue where we left off last week in "Cooler!" In the episode airing tonight, "Table 34," Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) both are reeling from their passionate late-night kiss. Unsure of her feelings and what the kiss meant, Jess spends the day with Cece (Hannah Simone) at an East Indian marriage convention. Seeking to escape his own conflicted feelings, Nick offers to help Schmidt (Max Greenfield) at another attempt to win back Cece, unknowingly putting himself directly in Jess' sightlines.

Tonight's episode is a continuation of last week's "Cooler" episode. Jess tells Cece about her first kiss with Nick. Cece has plans on attending an East Indian marriage convention to look for a husband. Schmidt also plans on going to the convention and tries to win back Cece by wearing proper attire. Winston describes him as looking like the fortune teller in Big. Nick talks to Winston about his kiss with Jess. Nick and Jess argue about if their kiss meant anything. Cece and Nick are assigned to Table 34 for those with no advance degrees and part time employment. Winston gets his mojo back and draws the attention of one of the staff members. Jess and Schmidt are placed at Table 7. A series of games, including trying to build a table out of newspapers, are then played to show their compatibility. Jess tells Sam what happened between her and Nick. Sam doesn't exactly take the news well. The convention ends with a big speech by one of the characters. Jess wants to listen to a Taylor Swift song alone, but Nick is there dancing. B-

This episode is on par with last week. There are some serious moments, but there are also many funny lines and scenes at the convention. There is a nice mix of pop culture references from movies and physical comedy, including Nick's panic moonwalking. Like last week's episode, it ends with a big story development. Will sparks fly again? Tune in tonight to find out.

Fox's Tuesday night comedy starring Mindy Kaling airs Tuesday nights at 9:30pm immediately following New Girl and we have just watched the next episode that airs tonight (Feb. 5). Can men and women really be just friends? Dr. Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling) attempts to find the answer to this age-old question. In the episode airing tonight, "Harry & Mindy," Mindy tries to solve Jaime's (guest star BJ Novak) best friend problem by pairing up Lucy (guest star Eva Amurri Martino) with Danny (Chris Messina) on a Valentine's Day double date. Meanwhile, Jeremy (Ed Weeks) helps Morgan (Ike Barinholtz) with his pickup skills.

Relationship drama is what this entire episode comes down to, and it is made even more interesting considering that the drama comes from Novak and Kaling, both of whom of course were always in relationship drama when they were in the cast of The Office. In this continuation of last week's episode, "Harry & Sally," we once again meet up with Jaime who can't seem to separate himself from his female friend Lucy, despite the fact that Mindy would like to have him for herself. The solution to the problem seems pretty simple: just find somebody to fix Lucy up with, and she manages to hook her up with Danny. But when the two couples double date, Danny and Lucy hit it off very quickly, making Mindy and Jaime's date a choking hazard (literally). Jaime tries to make it up to Mindy afterwards by going all the way (to the top of the Empire State Building), but this big event may turn into a disaster before it can even happen. All in all, it is great to see Kaling and Novak back together again as a couple on screen, and that makes this one of the more "special" episodes of the series thus far, but the plot of the episode leaves a lot more to be desired. The ending of the episode is a bit predictable, but it isn't done in a way that seems to leave a lot of opportunities for Novak to make any further appearances. The B-story in the episode, of Jeremy helping Morgan in his pick up skills, leaves even more to be desired. It really felt like more filler than anything substantial, and it was greatly overshadowed by the main story. B

The Mindy Project continues to march through the first season, and seems to be working on trying to figure out exactly what it is... much like Mindy's own character. The series continues to have high points and low points, but each time I watch it, I feel that it is slowly getting to a point where it is consistently good. It would be nice if we do see more of Novak after this episode, but only time will tell if and how much of his character we'll see (right now, it doesn't appear that there are any future plans). Fans of The Office should be watching this show, especially this particular episode.
