• Fans were already somewhat aware that it seemed probable, but Fox has cancelled The Great North. (Deadline)
• If you watched The Simpsons last week, you may have noticed that the time warp for Marge and Homer's high school days, as they were now supposedly in high school in the late 90s and early 00s, and are apparently millennials, and the showrunner is preemptively responding to criticism over that. (Entertainment Weekly)
• Amber Stevens West has been cast in a recurring role in the final season of The Neighborhood. (Deadline)
• Apple TV has extended their rights to Peanuts through 2030. (Variety)
• Wanting to avoid the issues that his competitors have been involved in with regards to suspensions and cancellations, Jimmy Fallon has decided to continue to avoid politics on The Tonight Show. (Deadline)
• The cast of Everybody Loves Raymond is set to reunite for the 30 year anniversary of the series (though don't get too caught up in counting the years, since the show debuted in 1996). (Hollywood Reporter)
• In other Everybody Loves Raymond, the series is coming to MeTV in a little over a week. (SitcomsOnline)

• Saturday Night Live returns for a new season tonight, and we have a feeling they're going to have a lot of catching up to do with current events.
• It's a honeymoon weekend on Catchy Comedy with a binge of The Honeymooners.

Fox Summer 2025 Schedule; Final Guest Hosts for Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Season

Fox is announcing premiere dates and return dates for the summer 2025 slate of original programming, including the series premieres of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service (May 21) and The Snake (June 10), as well as new seasons of LEGO Masters (May 19), MasterChef (May 21), The Quiz with Balls (June 2) and The 1% Club (June 10), and all-new episodes of "Animation Domination" favorites Bob's Burgers, Grimsburg, Family Guy and The Great North (May 29). Additional summer programming to be announced.

The Fox summer schedule officially gets its brick on beginning Monday, May 19 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) with the Season Five premiere of hit competition series LEGO Masters, hosted by actor and producer Will Arnett. New episodes of America's Most Wanted follow at 9 thru May 26. Fox's summer really starts cooking beginning Wednesday, May 21 with the landmark 15th season premiere of MasterChef: Dynamic Duos (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the series premiere of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Beginning on a new night, Thursday, May 29, Fox's iconic "Animation Domination" continues this summer with all-new episodes of fan-favorite series Bob's Burgers (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), Grimsburg (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Family Guy (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and The Great North (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Beginning Monday, June 2, following an all-new episode of LEGO Masters, the big balls are back! Hosted by actor and comedian Jay Pharoah, The Quiz with Balls (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) pits brains against balls, while combining a high-stakes quiz show with a large-scale physical competition. Then, beginning Tuesday, June 10 The 1% Club (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) premieres with new host Joel McHale (Animal Control, Crime Scene Kitchen), followed by the series premiere of all-new competition series The Snake (9:00-10:00PM ET/PT), hosted by comedian Jim Jeffries.

Season finale dates for the following in-season programs are as follows: The Masked Singer (two-hour season finale 5/7); America's Most Wanted: Missing Persons (5/12); Next Level Chef (5/15); The Simpsons (5/18); Krapopolis (5/18); Farmer Wants A Wife (two-hour season finale 5/22); America's Most Wanted (5/26); Alert: Missing Persons Unit (5/27); The Cleaning Lady (two-hour season finale 6/3).

Quinta Brunson will host NBC's Saturday Night Live for the second time on May 3. The Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner is the star and creator of ABC's Abbott Elementary. Benson Boone will perform as musical guest for the first time. The Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling artist will release his next album "American Heart" on June 20. Walton Goggins will host SNL for the first time on May 10. Goggins stars in the third season of The White Lotus and the final season of The Righteous Gemstones, both streaming on Max. Arcade Fire will take the stage as musical guest for the sixth time. The Grammy Award-winning band will release their new album, "Pink Elephant," on May 9.

Scarlett Johansson will host the May 17 season finale, returning to host SNL for the seventh time. The Oscar-nominated actress stars in the new Universal Pictures film Jurassic World Rebirth, in theaters July 2. Bad Bunny will make his third appearance as musical guest. The 3-time Grammy-winning artist's latest album, "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS," spent three consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 and has been #1 on the Top Latin Albums chart for 15 straight weeks.

Fox Announces Animation Domination 2025 Schedule; Abbott Elementary Renewed for Season 5

Fox announces Winter return dates for its iconic Animation Domination favorites Family Guy, Grimsburg, The Great North, Krapopolis and The Simpsons. On Sunday, February 16, all-new seasons of Family Guy (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), Grimsburg (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) and The Great North (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) debut, followed by new episodes of Krapopolis (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox. Then, starting Sunday, March 30, all-new episodes of The Simpsons return (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), followed by Family Guy (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), The Great North (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and Krapopolis (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). We caught up with the cast of Grimsburg at New York Comic Con in October. We spoke with Jon Hamm and Rachel Dratch along with Alan Tudyk and showrunner Chadd Gindin. They told us what to expect this season, some great guest voices and much much more! Check out the videos!

No surprise, but Abbott Elementary will be back for a season five in 2025-26 on ABC! ABC also has renewed breakout hit drama High Potential for a second season, after a strong fall and even stronger start in January. In Abbott Elementary, the workplace comedy, a group of dedicated, passionate teachers - and a slightly tone-deaf principal - are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible educators may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do - even if they don't love the school district's less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

Fox Fall 2024 Premiere Dates; Apple TV+ Renews Loot for Season 3

Fox is set to deliver a 2024-2025 television season filled with all-new original entertainment, and announces premiere dates for its fall 2024 schedule, including new and returning scripted, unscripted and animation series. The fall season kicks off with the series premiere of all-new animated comedy Universal Basic Guys on Sunday, Sept. 8, immediately following the FOX NFL doubleheader (8:00-8:30PM ET/5:00-5:30PM PT, live to all time zones). New pulse-pounding Hawaii-set lifeguard drama Rescue: HI-Surf, from prolific, award-winning executive producer/director John Wells (Shameless, The West Wing, ER) and executive producer/writer Matt Kester (Animal Kingdom, Outsiders), will make its series debut with a special premiere on Sunday, Sept. 22, immediately following the FOX NFL doubleheader (8:00-9:00PM ET/5:00-6:00PM PT, live to all time zones).

Firefighter drama 9-1-1: Lone Star begins its fifth season on Monday, Sept. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the time-period premiere of Rescue: HI-Surf (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). All new murder mystery series Murder in a Small Town will have a special 90-minute series premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 24 (8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) starring Rossif Sutherland (Reign, The Handmaid's Tale) and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville, Beauty and the Beast). Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1, Murder in a Small Town moves to its regular time period (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), following the season two premiere of crime anthology series Accused (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). The Masked Singer unmasks its twelfth season beginning Wednesday, Sept. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the Season Two premiere of The Floor, hosted by Rob Lowe (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Molly Wells is jetting off to a third season! Following its widely celebrated and hilarious second season, Apple TV+ announced that Loot has been renewed for season three. The critically acclaimed, global hit comedy led by five-time Emmy Award-winning star and executive producer Maya Rudolph, alongside an all-star comedy ensemble cast that includes Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches and Joel Kim Booster, the series has been hailed as "a quirky comedy with a lot of heart," "fierce" and "fabulous" in addition to being praised for its "laugh-out-loud shenanigans." Viewers were left on the edge of their seats following the season two finale that saw Molly Wells (Rudolph) and her trusted and unhinged assistant Nicholas (Booster) board Molly's private jet following her awkward exchange with her will-they, won't-they colleague Arthur (Faxon). Where will the PJ land? Luckily, season three will continue to follow the antics of the beloved group of misfits at The Wells Foundation.

CBS announced the first-year series Tracker, starring Justin Hartley, has been renewed for the 2024-2025 season. The series premiere, which debuted on Feb. 11 following the Super Bowl, has now been seen by 30 million multiplatform viewers and is Paramount+'s #1 show in February. The series stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. The series is based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver.

We were on hand this month for The John Ritter Foundation: An Evening From the Heart - NYC that started seven years ago with the Petrera-Cohen family honoring the memory of their daughter, Olivia (Livie), who passed away before her second birthday from complications of a genetic aortic disorder. This year, the event commemorated The John Ritter Foundation's 20-years of impact and John's life-saving legacy, while honoring the memory of Livie. In addition, The JRF shared the story of esteemed sportswriter and LGBTQ+ rights activist Grant Wahl. Wahl shockingly passed away last winter after he collapsed from a thoracic aortic dissection while reporting on the World Cup in Qatar. The event also included the presentation of The JRF's Founders Award to Dr. John Elefteriades with the Yale School of Medicine for his decades of work improving the care of patients with aortic disease. Dr. Elefteriades is an internationally recognized cardiovascular surgeon and has served on The JRF's Professional Advisory Board since its establishment. There was also a Silent Auction with many different pieces from all sorts of genres -- sports, travel and entertainment. Among the celebrities/notable people on hand were Amy Yasbeck and Tony Shalhoub.

In 2003 the world lost John Ritter to a tragically misdiagnosed thoracic aortic dissection. Although preventable, thousands of people die every year due to the lack of awareness of this critical medical emergency. To shine a much-needed light on thoracic aortic disease, John's widow, Amy Yasbeck, established The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. Twenty years of honoring John's legacy with genetic research, widespread education, and radical advocacy.

Consider donating to this great cause that will save countless of lives for years to come.

Of course John Ritter needs no introduction, but John Ritter's career spanned decades, most notably; his starring roles in the classic TV sitcom Three's Company, 8 Simples Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, Clifford The Big Red Dog, and Stephen King's 1990 mini-series IT. His feature films include Sling Blade, Skin Deep, Stay Tuned, Bad Santa, and Problem Child 1 and 2. John received many awards throughout his esteemed career including a Primetime Emmy, The Golden Globe, and The People's Choice Award.

Culinary titan Gordon Ramsay sets aside his razor-sharp knives for the cutthroat business world in the all-new competition series Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars, putting food and drink industry entrepreneurs through a multitude of challenges designed to showcase their business skills, test their drive and convince Ramsay they have what it takes to earn his personal investment of $250,000. As previously announced, the series premieres Wednesday, May 24 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) following the Season 13 premiere of MasterChef (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).

Apple Original Films unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated film, STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie starring Michael J. Fox (Family Ties, Spin City, Back to the Future) and Tracy Pollan, directed by Academy Award winner, Davis Guggenheim. The film, which incorporates documentary, archival and scripted elements, recounts Fox's extraordinary story in his own words - the improbable tale of an undersized kid from a Canadian army base who rose to the heights of stardom in 1980s Hollywood. The Max Original comedy series, Gordita Chronicles, from Sony Pictures Television, will debut with all ten episodes on Thursday, June 23 on HBO Max. The year is 1985 and Cucu "Gordita" Castelli (Olivia Goncalves) has just said goodbye to all of her friends and family in Santo Domingo and moved to Miami with her marketing executive father Víctor (Juan Javier Cardenas), bold and vivacious mother Adela (Diana Maria Riva), and status-obsessed older sister Emilia (Savannah Nicole Ruiz). While life in America is far from what they imagined, the Castellis are determined to take charge of their strange new world. A uniquely funny coming-of-age series, Gordita Chronicles is about family, opportunity, love, resilience, and boldly defying the status quo in pursuit of the "American Dream." Apple TV+ Season 2 Premiere Date for Physical; Fox Summer 2022 Schedule and May Finale Dates

Apple TV+ released a first-look at the sophomore season of Physical, the acclaimed dark comedy starring and executive produced by Rose Byrne. From creator, writer and executive producer Annie Weisman, the highly anticipated 10-episode second season will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 3 with the first episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday. Season two finds our hero Sheila Rubin (Byrne) having successfully launched her first fitness video only to encounter some new and bigger obstacles on her path. She is torn between loyalty to her husband (Scovel) and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else. And since she’s no longer the only game in town, she finds herself having to outrun some fierce new competitors on the road to building a full-fledged fitness empire.

In addition to Byrne, Physical stars Rory Scovel, Dierdre Friel, Della Saba, Lou Taylor Pucci and Paul Sparks. Joining the all-star ensemble cast for season two is Critics Choice Award-winner Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus) in the new role of "Vincent 'Vinnie' Green," a charismatic fitness instructor, weight-loss guru, and pioneer of the late-night infomercial. Physical is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partnership). Created, written and executive produced by Annie Weisman, who also serves as showrunner, Physical is directed by Stephanie Laing, who also serve as executive producer along with Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements for Tomorrow Studios, Alexandra Cunningham, John McNamara, Sera Gamble, Craig Gillespie and Byrne.

Fox is announcing premiere dates for So You Think You Can Dance (Wednesday, May 18 at 9pm), Don't Forget the Lyrics! (Monday, May 23 at 8pm), Beat Shazam (Monday, May 23 at 9pm), MasterChef (Wednesday, May 25 at 8pm), Lego Masters (Tuesday, May 31 at 8pm) and Fantasy Island (Tuesday, May 31 at 9pm). Additionally, animated comedy Duncanville returns with all-new episodes, beginning Sunday, May 1 at 7:30pm. Duncanville will move to 9pm beginning in June. Additional schedule details to be announced.

Fox also announced season finale dates for May/June. Fox Fall 2021 Premiere Dates; B.J. Novak's The Premise to Premiere on FX on Hulu

Fox has set Fall 2021 premiere dates for its new and returning series. It all starts with 9-1-1, as it returns for its fifth season on Monday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the series premiere of new uplifting drama The Big Leap (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), starring Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Piper Perabo, Ser'Darius Blain and Teri Polo. All-new drama Our Kind of People, from executive producers Karin Gist and Lee Daniels, debuts Tuesday, Sept. 21 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), after the Season Five premiere of The Resident (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). In a special two-night premiere event on Wednesday, Sept. 22 and Thursday, Sept. 23, hit reality series The Masked Singer, returns for its sixth season (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the debut of first-of-its-kind avatar singing competition series Alter Ego (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Animation Domination returns Sunday, Sept. 26, with The Simpsons' unprecedented 33rd season (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), followed by Season Two of The Great North (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Season 12 of Bob's Burgers (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and Season 19 of Family Guy (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). B.J. Novak's new, previously untitled comedy anthology series will be called The Premise. Along with first look images and details on the first installment's five episodes, The Premise announced its first season's star-studded cast. The series will premiere its first two episodes on Thursday, September 16 exclusively on FX on Hulu. The Premise is a fearlessly ambitious new series that uses comedy to engage with the biggest issues of our unprecedented modern era.

Created and hosted by B.J. Novak, joined by an extraordinary group of actors and collaborators, The Premise adds Ben Platt, Tracee Ellis Ross, Daniel Dae Kim, Lola Kirke, Soko, Jermaine Fowler, Ayo Edebiri, Eric Lange and more to the previously announced cast, which included Lucas Hedges, Kaitlyn Dever, Jon Bernthal, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Ed Asner, George Wallace, Boyd Holbrook and Beau Bridges, among others. Fri-Yay: Fox Cancels Bless the Harts, Leaving Questions About Animated Block; Variety and Lifetime Presents Power of Women Comedians

It's time for another edition of Fri-Yay! That means we will take a look back on some sitcom happenings in recent days or weeks or other fun sitcomy stuff. It's a sitcom lover's paradise! Happy Fri-Yay!

It's not May just yet, but we're already getting some renewals and cancelations as networks begin looking towards the 2021-2022 TV season. And the most recent cancelation was Bless the Harts, the sophomore Fox comedy series that has been occupying the much-maligned 7:30 slot this spring. Bless the Harts was a so-so ratings performer last year but won a second season renewal as it managed to maintain a decent enough audience, and Fox is likely looking for possible future animated anchors in the case that long-running The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob's Burgers decide to end their run. Fox's Animated block is still a valuable piece of network TV real estate, drawing decent young male viewership and being very popular in cable syndication.

Still, it seems Bless the Harts will not be part of that block any longer. While the series never quite became what I'd call "great," it was enjoyable enough with some flashes of promise. Fox seems to be much more confident in The Great North, a freshman comedy series from Bob's Burgers creator Loren Bouchard. Bouchard now produces two of Fox's animated sitcoms, and perhaps Fox is trying to turn him into what Seth MacFarlane was for the network back in the 2000s and early 2010s, when he had Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show all in the animated block. It's too bad Bless the Harts couldn't stick around longer and pave the way of the animated block's future, but it'll be interesting to see if there's any more shifts in one of the last reliable blocks of network comedy left on TV.

Variety and Lifetime announced the one-hour special Lifetime Presents Variety's Power of Women The Comedians which will premiere on Monday, May 10 at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime. The special will be timed to Variety's Power of Women issue, which hits newsstands on Wednesday, May 5. The honorees will all appear on the cover of the issue. Additional content from the special will air on Variety.com and social media channels. The special will honor the comedic impact of Emmy nominated Writer, Actor and Producer Mindy Kaling, Multiple Emmy Award-Winning Actor and Saturday Night Live legend Maya Rudolph, Multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-Winning Actor and Producer Julia Louis-Dreyfus, SAG Award-Winning and Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated Actor Sofía Vergara, BAFTA Award-Winning Actor, Writer, Director and Producer Michaela Coel, and Emmy Award-winning Saturday Night Live Actor Kate McKinnon. Each honoree will be interviewed by a close family member or friend - including Aidy Bryant, Bowen Yang, Nastasha Lyonne, Luis Balaguer, and Charlie Hall.

HBO Max Adds More Library Titles in January; The Great North Gets Special Preview This Sunday on Fox

Spread the word, Upper Eastsiders -- all six seasons of Gossip Girl are coming to HBO Max on January 1. The month also brings the film premiere of Locked Down starring Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor, the second special episode of the Emmy(R)-winning drama Euphoria, the season four return of the beloved Search Party, and the two-part documentary Tiger, which illuminates the rise, fall and epic comeback of global golf icon Tiger Woods. Selena Gomez is back for seconds with a new season of Selena + Chef, and HBO Max is also serving up new episodes of Looney Tunes Cartoons, Batman Beyond and Batman the Animated Series. More classics being added in January include Pushing Daisies, What I Like About You, Babylon 5, Person of Interest, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Everwood, Eve, The Wayans Bros. and the original mini-series Roots & Stephen King's It.

Fox is announcing changes to its Sunday, January 3 lineup following the NFL on FOX Doubleheader (last regular season games) - new animated comedy The Great North will now have a special preview at 8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT, following the series premiere of Call Me Kat at 8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT. The ninth and final season premiere of Last Man Standing will now air at 9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT, following an all-new episode of The Simpsons at a special time, 9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT. The Great North special preview on Sunday, Jan. 3 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) will be ahead of its series premiere on Sunday, Feb. 14 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), as part of the Animation Domination lineup.

Fox Comedy Premieres Feb. 14; HBO Max Renews Hit Comedic Kaley Cuoco Thriller for Season 2

All-new animated comedy The Great North debuts Sunday, Feb. 14 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox, as part of Sunday's Animation Domination lineup. The series, which already has been renewed for a second season, was created, written and executive-produced by Bob's Burgers writers and executive producers Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, as well as writer Minty Lewis. The comedy follows the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, BEEF (Nick Offerman), does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close - especially his only daughter, JUDY (Jenny Slate), whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy's older brother, WOLF (Will Forte); his fiancé, HONEYBEE (Dulcé Sloan); her middle brother, HAM (Paul Rust); and ten-year-old-going-on-fifty little brother, MOON (Aparna Nancherla). While the children's mother is not in the picture, Judy seeks guidance from her new boss, ALYSON (Megan Mullally), and her imaginary friend, ALANIS MORISSETTE (guest-voicing as herself), who appears to her in the Northern Lights.

Animation Domination returns Sunday, Feb. 14 on Fox with all-new episodes of Bless the Harts (7:30-8:00 PM ET/PT) at a new time, The Simpsons (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), The Great North (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Bob's Burgers (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and Family Guy (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). The evening kicks off with the series premiere of all-new trivia game show Cherries Wild (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT), hosted by Jason Biggs.

HBO Max has renewed the hit comedic thriller The Flight Attendant starring Kaley Cuoco for a second season. The eight-episode first season premiered November 26 and had its finale on December 17. The entire first season is available to stream now on HBO Max. Season one was based on the novel of the same name by New York Times bestselling author Chris Bohjalian and told the story of how an entire life can change in one night. Flight attendant "Cassie Bowden" (Cuoco) woke up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man - and no idea what happened. The season also starred Michiel Huisman, Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez, T.R. Knight, Colin Woodell, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews and Nolan Gerard Funk. Season two will feature Cassie in a new adventure. The first season saw week over week growth and ranked as HBO Max's #1 series overall during its run.

NBC Pulls Connecting... From Lineup; Fox Says The Great North to Air in February

NBC has pulled new comedy Connecting... from the lineup effective immediately. Only four episodes of its eight episode order have aired. Starting this Thursday, reruns of Superstore will air at 8:30pm for the next three weeks to close out November sweep. New episodes of Superstore will air at 8pm as planned. Meanwhile, Connecting... will have its remaining four episodes air online on NBC.com and on streaming service Peacock. The series was an ensemble comedy about a group of friends trying to stay close (and sane) through video chats as they share the highs and lows of these extraordinary times.

Fox has announced its new animated comedy The Great North will premiere in February on Animation Domination, while also releasing the trailer. No exact premiere date just yet, though. The Great North is a new animated comedy from Bob's Burgers creator Loren Bouchard, Wendy and Lizzie Molyneaux and Minty Lewis. Fox Renews Animated Comedy for 2nd Season Before Series Premiere; Cobra Kai Moving to Netflix

In advance of its series premiere in midseason 2021, Fox Entertainment has renewed the all-new animated comedy The Great North, for a second season. 36 years to the day after it first premiered, The Karate Kid inspires a new generation as Cobra Kai's first two seasons come to Netflix, with a third on the way. Netflix announced it is the new home to Cobra Kai, the series continuation of the iconic The Karate Kid film franchise from Sony Pictures Television. The film's stars, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprise their star-making roles in the series along with Martin Kove as sensei John Kreese. Under the terms of the deal, the first two seasons of Sony Pictures Television's Cobra Kai,which aired on YouTube, will premiere on Netflix this year, with an all-new third season to follow. Cobra Kai takes place 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, where a now successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of Mr. Miyagi, and must face his previous adversary, down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), who seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.
