The CW announced its new January 2016 schedule, including the series debut of new drama DC's Legends of Tomorrow and the season three premiere of The 100, plus The Vampire Diaries and The Originals take over Friday night. On Thursday January 21, The CW kicks off a new night of action and adventure with the highly-anticipated series premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 8:00pm ET/PT followed by the return of the critically-acclaimed post-apocalyptic drama The 100 at 9:00pm ET/PT. In DC's Legends of Tomorrow, when heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only the planet is at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?
Starting January 29, The Salvatore brothers and the First Family of vampires head to Friday nights to kick off the weekend with two hours of high-stakes drama, with The Vampire Diaries at 8:00pm ET/PT followed by The Originals at 9:00pm ET/PT. This season, both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are among the most heavily time-shifted series on television; both shows more than triple their audiences when viewing beyond the night of air is tallied, across DVR, digital, and VOD platforms. Reign will have its winter finale on Friday, January 22 at 8:00pm ET/PT and return later in the season, night and time to be announced. Stay with us...
