Quibi has given the greenlight to Fire Island comedy series Trip. Created by Joel Kim Booster and set on the iconic Fire Island, Trip is an unapologetic, modern day rom-com inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The story centers around two best friends who set out to have a legendary week-long summer vacation with the help of cheap rosé and a cadre of eclectic friends. Trip is written by Joel Kim Booster and produced by JAX Media. Joel Kim Booster is a Los Angeles-based stand-up and writer who stars in the Hulu sitcom Sunnyside. Other screen credits include Shrill (Hulu), BoJack Horseman, and Big Mouth (Netflix). He's written for Billy on the Street (truTV), Big Mouth (Netflix), and The Other Two (Comedy Central), and has appeared on Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers & The Late Late Show with James Corden.

ABC has renewed Station 19 for a fourth season. The series is produced by ABC Studios. ABC Studios is a part of Disney Television Studios, alongside 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios. To note, the season 17 pickup of Grey's Anatomy was previously announced in May 2019. Ranking as the No. 1 program in Thursday's 8:00 p.m. hour this season in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC's Station 19" is growing its overall audience over its prior season (+9%) to deliver its most-watched season ever. In addition, after 35 days of delayed viewing on linear and digital platforms, Station 19 averages 13.5 million Total Viewers and a 3.71 rating in Adults 18-49 this season.

Station 19 follows a group of heroic Seattle firefighters as they put their lives and hearts on the line. The latest series from Shondaland and the executive producers of Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder takes us inside the tough, tight-knit and sometimes heartbreaking world of the city's bravest first responders. Central Park is an animated musical comedy from Emmy(R) Award-winner Loren Bouchard (Bob's Burgers) that follows the exploits of a family living in the world's most famous park. Master Minds, Game Show Network's new expert trivia game show hosted by Emmy®-nominated Game Show Host Brooke Burns (Baywatch; The Chase) and featuring Jeopardy! G.O.A.T./Trivia Legend Ken Jennings. Master Minds will premiere on Monday, April 6 at 4 p.m. ET on Game Show Network and air weekdays. In Master Minds, three contestants square off against three trivia Master Minds in multiple rounds of intense trivia competition. The lowest scoring player on each side is eliminated until the top competitor and top Master Mind are left standing and now must face off, head-to-head, in the Ultimate Trivia Challenge. If the contestant can get more questions correct than the Master Mind, they will win $10,000 and come back to challenge the Masters again. If they win three games in a row, they join the ranks of the Master Minds and will appear in future episodes.

Actress and Emmy®-nominated television host Brooke Burns began her career with breakout roles in Ally McBeal, Baywatch and Melrose Place. In 2002, she made her game show hosting debut on NBC's Dog Eat Dog, and went on to host ABC's You Deserve It with Chris Harrison. From 2013-2015 Burns served as host of Game Show Network's Emmy®-nominated and wildly popular UK-adapted trivia show, The Chase, where she was also nominated for an Emmy® as Outstanding Game Show Host.

Lost in Space has been renewed by Netflix for a third season, in which The Robinson Family's epic space journey towards Alpha Centauri will conclude. Netflix confirmed the news on social media. Additionally, Netflix and Lost in Space Executive Producer/ showrunner Zack Estrin have agreed to enter a multi-year overall deal to produce new series exclusively at Netflix. Lost in Space is a Netflix original series, produced by Legendary Television. Lost in Space stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio and Parker Posey.

Emmy-winning writer and producer Earl Pomerantz, who worked on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Cheers, The Cosby Show and Major Dad, has died. He died on March 7 in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Pomerantz was 75.

Pomerantz's writing career began in Canada in 1970 with the variety series The Hart and Lorne Terrific Hour, which starred his brother Hart Pomerantz and Lorne Michaels. He won his first Emmy Award in 1976 for The Lily Tomlin Special, which was the winner for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy-Variety or Music Special. He was a writer for the TV specials Flip Wilson... Of Course in 1974 and Lily in 1975.

Some of his 1970s sitcom writing credits included Sanford and Son, Doc, Phyllis, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Tony Randall Show, The Betty White Show, The Bob Newhart Show and Rhoda.

He wrote three episodes of The Cosby Show in 1984. He won an Emmy Award in 1985 when The Cosby Show was the winner for Outstanding Comedy Series. Some of his other sitcom writing credits included Taxi, Best of the West (also the creator), Newhart, Cheers, Trying Times, Family Man (also the creator), Coming of Age, Major Dad, LateLine, Becker and Kristin.

He was the creator, producer, writer and theme song lyrics writer of the 1981-1982 ABC sitcom Best of the West, a spoof of westerns. The series starred Joel Higgins, Carlene Watkins, Meeno Peluce, Leonard Frey, Tom Ewell, Valri Bromfield, Tracey Walter and Macon McCalman.

Pomerantz created the short-lived 1988 ABC sitcom Family Man. The series starred Richard Libertini, Mimi Kennedy, Alison Sweeney, Whitby Hertford and Keeley Mari Gallagher.

He developed and worked as a producer for Major Dad. Some of his other producing credits included The Cosby Show, The Larry Sanders Show, LateLine, The Fighting Fitzgeralds and Kristin. He worked as a consultant on Leo & Liz in Beverly Hills, It's Garry Shandling's Show, Thea, The Larry Sanders Show, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Goode Behavior, LateLine, Regular Joe and According to Jim.

Survivors include his brother Hart, his wife Myra, daughters Anna Pomerantz and Rachel Braude and three grandchildren.

Mr. Pomerantz worked on more than 25 sitcoms during his career. We thank him for his work on these series. He will be greatly missed.

New Hulu comedy The Great premieres May 15 with 10 episodes. The Great is a satirical, comedic drama about the rise of Catherine the Great from outsider to the longest reigning female ruler in Russia's history. Hulu comedy Ramy returns May 29 with 10 episodes. The Golden Globe(R) Award-winning actor Ramy Youssef returns to Hulu for his critically-acclaimed performance in the Hulu Original comedy series Ramy. The series follows first-generation, Egyptian-American Ramy Hassan (Youssef) who is on a spiritual journey in his politically-divided New Jersey neighborhood. Ramy brings a new perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it's like to be caught between a religious community who believes life is a moral test, and a millennial generation that doubts an afterlife even exists. In the second season, Ramy delves further into his spiritual journey, finding a new Muslim community and embracing a deeper commitment to his faith. Today’s families come in all shapes and sizes, and that is very evident in Jay Pritchett’s very full and very blended family. Jay and his new gorgeous and much younger wife, Gloria, are happily married and getting accustomed to their new life together. But when her pre-teen son develops a crush on a 16-year-old girl, it becomes apparent that Jay and Gloria may have some generational and cultural gaps to bridge. Jay’s grown daughter, Claire, has a family of her own—three kids and a husband, Phil, who is practically a giant kid himself. Things get a little tense when their teenage daughter, Haley, brings a boy home and Phil tries to adopt the cool, hip dad approach. Then son Luke misuses his BB gun, which results in Phil and Claire turning it right back on to him. Jay’s grown son, Mitchell, is in a committed relationship and has just adopted a baby girl from Vietnam with his life partner, Cameron. They’re going through the joys and anxieties of bringing a baby home for the first time, but Mitchell still has the daunting task of introducing their new addition to the whole family.

Featuring appearances by classic Disney characters Daisy Duck, Goofy and favorites from TaleSpin, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck, the new season finds the Duck family embarking on a globetrotting hunt for the world's greatest lost artifacts, with a secret organization from Scrooge's past, the Fiendish Organization for World Larceny (F.O.W.L.), trying to stop them at any cost. CBS All Access announced a new series order for Guilty Party, a half-hour dark comedy starring Isla Fisher as Beth Baker, a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn't commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past. Guilty Party is written by Rebecca Addelman (Dead to Me) and Trent O'Donnell (No Activity) will direct. Addelman and O'Donnell will also serve as executive producers alongside Isla Fisher, Sam Hansen, Jimmy Miller and Funny Or Die's Joe Farrell, Jim Ziegler, Mike Farah and co-executive producer Joe Hardesty. The series is being produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Funny Or Die and Mosaic. 

The CW Network announced premiere dates for the broadcast debut of the brand new DC Universe series Stargirl, the second season of summer drama In the Dark and the seventh and final season of The 100. New series Stargirl, starring Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson and Amy Smart, will make its CW debut on Tuesday, May 12 at 9:00pm ET/PT, one day after it makes its digital debut on the DC Universe subscription service (Monday, May 11). On Tuesday, May 26, Stargirl will move one hour earlier to the 8:00pm time period for the remainder of its season. The 100 will begin its seventh and final season on Wednesday, May 20 at 8:00pm ET/PT. The second season of In the Dark, starring Perry Mattfeld, will premiere on Thursday, May 28 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

The new DC Universe drama series Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (series star Brec Bassinger, Bella and the Bulldogs, School of Rock, The Goldbergs) as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series. The series focuses on the character that started creator Geoff Johns' career as a comic book writer when he created her in 1999, lovingly inspired by his late sister who was killed in a 1996 plane explosion. The series stars Brec Bassinger, Luke Wilson, Amy Smart, Trae Romano, Cameron Gellman, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Jake Austin Walker, Christopher James Baker and Hunter Sansone.

The one and only Kim Fields (The Facts of Life, Living Single) is joining the cast of the upcoming Netflix sitcom The Upshaws, which also stars the executive producers Mike Epps and Wanda Sykes. Fields will (hilariously) play Regina, Epps' high school sweetheart. Mike and Wanda bring their distinct voices to this multi-camera comedy that centers on a working-class African American family in Indiana struggling to make it work and make it right without the blueprints to do it. More details are still to come, including the premiere date, so stay tuned. 

Hulu Original comedy series Future Man will return for its third and final season on Friday, April 3rd with all eight episodes! In this final season, the motley trio messes with time one last time. Convicted of time crimes and sentenced to death by entertainment, Josh, Tiger, and Wolf become fugitives, on the run through time, trying desperately to evade capture while clearing their names and fixing the big mess of history they've made along the way.

Future Man stars Josh Hutcherson, Eliza Coupe, and Derek Wilson. The series is created and executive produced by Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir and directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Matt Tolmach, James Weaver and Ben Karlin executive produce alongside Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Future Man is produced by Sony Pictures Television.

NBC is going to escape with celebrities on Thursday, May 21. Kicking off the night at 8 p.m. ET/PT, Ben Stiller is bringing the phenomenon of escape rooms to television in spectacularly over-the-top style with Celebrity Escape Room. Stiller and Jack Black serve as executive producers and participants in the one-hour show featuring a cast of A-listers immersed in the hilariously high-energy, no-holds-barred escape. Following Celebrity Escape Room, the two-hour Red Nose Day Special will feature the biggest names across entertainment with a packed lineup of music, comedy and short documentary films that will educate and engage viewers.

Joining Stiller for the game-play are comedy stars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Adam Scott. Jack Black is host and the all-knowing Game Master, who puts his celebrity friends to the test as they work together under intense pressure to beat the clock, unlocking a series of surprising puzzle rooms to ultimately engineer their great escape in this uproarious and heart-pounding adventure.

Tapping into the wildly popular escape room craze, Celebrity Escape Room combines the drama and tension of a real-life video game with the side-splitting allure of the ultimate party game. All highly competitive with killer instincts, Stiller, Cox, Kudrow and Scott will work together and channel their inner Sherlocks to decipher clues and solve puzzles, brainstorm for solutions and combine their comedic talents to ultimately gain their freedom before time runs out.

When stumped they may only ask the Game Master for three clues to help them escape their complete isolation from the outside world. Each room that the players complete earns money to be donated to Red Nose Day. 

Raising the comedy stakes, the second season of the hybrid family sitcom/improvisation series Just Roll With It is set to premiere Sunday, March 15 (8:45 p.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. Comedian J.C. Currais becomes a series regular cast member, in the fan-favorite role of Gator, and John Ratzenberger (Disney/Pixar's Toy Story, Cheers) guest stars in a recurring role as Blair's grandfather. The season also includes "wild" animals, real-life wedding vows with legal matrimony as part of a storyline and feats of epic proportions. The studio audience votes for wacky scenarios that the cast must improvise their way through during the show taping. Additional season two guest stars include Charles Shaughnessy (The Magicians, The Nanny), Johnny Pemberton (Superstore), Jason Earles (Disney's Hannah Montana), Debra Wilson (MADtv), Jillian Shea Spaeder (Disney's Walk the Prank) and Kingston Foster (Disney's ZOMBIES).

Just Roll With It follows the newly blended Bennett-Blatt family as they navigate everyday family life and the ups and downs of adolescence. The series stars Tobie Windham and Suzi Barrett as fun-loving newlyweds and parents, Byron and Rachel; talented young actors Ramon Reed and Kaylin Hayman as preteen step-siblings, Owen and Blair; and J.C. Currais as The Gator. In the season two premiere, the Bennett-Blatt family is finally rescued from the sea only to discover Rachel's mischievous and somewhat unpredictable dad (Ratzenberger) - who relishes in being a doting but unruly Grandpa - has been kicked out of his retirement community and needs to move in with the family.

Quibi announced it has greenlit comedy series Q Talks, hosted by comedian, James Veitch. Veitch's TED Talk is one of the most watched talks in history. Individual episodes of Q Talks will feature Regina Hall, Lisa Kudrow, Neicy Nash, Jimmy O. Yang and Kristen Schaal. Q Talks is an original comedy format where celebrity speakers give expert talks - on topics they've never heard before, from a script they've never seen before, presented to them via a rigged teleprompter. To make it to the end of their talk, they'll have to say - and do - anything the prompter tells them. Quibi launches April 6, 2020. 

Starz, a Lionsgate company, announced Golden Globe(R) nominee Courteney Cox (Friends, Cougar Town) is set to star in the horror comedy pilot Shining Vale, playing the lead role of Patricia "Pat" Phelps. The half-hour comedy from Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Lionsgate in association with Other Shoe Productions, Merman and Kapital Entertainment.

Shining Vale is a horror comedy about a dysfunctional family that moves from the city to a small town into a house in which terrible atrocities have taken place. But no one seems to notice except for Pat (Cox), who's convinced she's either depressed or possessed - turns out, the symptoms are exactly the same. Patricia "Pat" Phelps is a former "wild child" who rose to fame by writing a raunchy, drug-and-alcohol-soaked women's empowerment novel (a.k.a. lady porn). Fast forward 17 years later, Pat is clean and sober but totally unfulfilled. She still hasn't written her second novel, she can't remember the last time she had sex with her husband, and her teenage kids are at that stage where they love their vile friends and want you dead. She was a faithful wife until her one slip-up: a torrid 15-night-stand with a hot, young artist/handyman/musician neighbor. In a last-ditch effort to save her marriage, she and her family move from the "crazy" of the city to a large, old house in the suburbs where evil and humor collide.

America Ferrera will be leaving NBC's Superstore following the current season that ends Thursday, April 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Ferrera stars as Amy and also serves as an executive producer. Superstore was recently picked up for its sixth season. In its fifth season Superstore is averaging a 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall in "live plus seven day" Nielsens. The season premiere has surged to a 3.4 in 18-49 and 7.5 million viewers when viewing on all platforms is counted, four times the episode's next-day "live plus same day" 0.8 rating in 18-49. Superstore continues to rank as one of NBC's strongest digital performers, generating 50% of its "live plus 35 day" 18-49 average this season from digital sources, tying The Good Place as NBC's most digital series so far this season.
