Hulu Renews King of the Hill for Seasons 16 and 17; FX Renews Adults for Season 2; Remembering June Lockhart

Hulu has renewed the adult animated series King of the Hill for seasons 16 and 17 with a 20-episode order. King of the Hill was initially revived in January 2023 with a 20-episode order. Season 14 streamed its 10-episode season on Monday, August 4 following its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con which included an activation recreating the show's famous Arlen, Texas. King of the Hill premiered at No. 2 on Nielsen's Overall Top 10 Streaming Chart. The upcoming 15th season of King of the Hill will premiere on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US, and on Disney+ internationally in 2026.

In Season 14, after years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane. The Emmy(R)-winning series ran for 13 seasons with over 250 episodes on Fox and all seasons now stream on Hulu. Season 14 Cast: Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss.

FX's Adults, the ensemble comedy that The New York Times called "Friends for a new generation," has been renewed for a second season. All episodes of season one are available to stream on Hulu. Adults is created by Ben Kronengold & Rebecca Shaw, who are Executive Producers and Writers. Comedy veterans Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel and Rob Rosell are Executive Producers. The series stars Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao and Owen Thiele.

Adults follows a group of twenty-somethings in New York trying to be good people, despite being neither "good" nor "people" yet. "Samir" (Malik Elassal), "Billie" (Lucy Freyer), "Paul Baker" (Jack Innanen), "Issa" (Amita Rao) and "Anton" (Owen Thiele) are five friends crashing together in Samir's childhood home, where they share their meals, anxieties and, occasionally, toothbrushes. The series puts a slightly heightened twist on the wins, losses and humiliations of starting out in the adult world. Whether they're trying to get ahead at work, navigating the healthcare system, hosting a dinner party or dating in the age of Find My Friends, the group is finding that nothing about the real world is simple, and all their best intentions tend to make things worse.

Actress June Lockhart, who starred as Ruth Martin in Lassie, as Dr. Maureen Robinson in Lost in Space and as Dr. Janet Craig in Petticoat Junction, has died. She died of natural causes at her home in Santa Monica, California, on October 23. Ms. Lockhart was 100.

Lockhart starred as Ruth Martin in seasons 5-10 (1958-1964) of the CBS adventure drama Lassie. The series follows the adventures of a female Rough Collie dog named Lassie and her companions, both human and animal. Ruth Martin is the wife of Paul Martin (Hugh Reilly) and the mother of Timmy Martin (Jon Provost). Lockhart replaced Cloris Leachman, who in turn had replaced Jan Clayton. In 1959, she was nominated for an Emmy for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Continuing Character) in a Dramatic Series for her role. She had earlier starred as Priscilla in the 1945 film Son of Lassie. She guest starred as Mrs. Chadwick in a 1989 episode of The New Lassie.

She starred as Dr. Maureen Robinson in the 1965-1968 CBS science fiction series Lost in Space. The series follows the adventures of the Robinsons, a pioneering family of space colonists who struggle to survive in the depths of space. Dr. Maureen Robinson is biochemist who is often seen preparing meals, tending the garden, and helping with light construction while adding a voice of compassion. She is the wife of Professor (Lt. Colonel) John Robinson (Guy Williams) and the mother of Judy (Marta Kristen), Penny (Angela Cartwright), and Will (Bill Mumy). Lockhart had a cameo role as Principal Cartwright in the 1998 film Lost in Space.

Lockhart starred as Dr. Janet Craig in the sixth and seventh seasons (1968-1970) of the CBS sitcom Petticoat Junction. Lockhart's character was essentially brought on as a surrogate mother figure to fill the void left by the death of Bea Benaderet (Kate Bradley), and takes up a medical practice at the Shady Rest Hotel and also serves as a counsel of sorts for the girls. The cast in the final two seasons incldued Edgar Buchanan, Linda Kaye Henning, Meredith MacRae, Lori Saunders, Mike Minor, Frank Cady, Elna Hubbell, Byron Foulger (season 6), Rufe Davis (recurring in season 7), and Jonathan Daly (season 7).

She appeared as Miss Wiltrout, Michelle Tanner's (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) kindergarten teacher, in two episodes of Full House in 1991. She had a recurring role as Helen Lambert, Frank Lambert's (Patrick Duffy) mother, in three episodes of Step by Step in 1996. She appeared as Misty Kiniski, Lewis's (Ryan Stiles) mother, in two episodes of The Drew Carey Show in 2002.

Some of her other sitcom guest appearances included Bewitched, Family Affair (1968), The Beverly Hillbillies, Love, American Style (1973), Happy Days, It's Garry Shandling's Show (as herself), Get a Life, Nurses, The John Larroquette Show, The Mommies, Roseanne, Fired Up, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Rock Me, Baby (2004), and Complete Savages (2 episodes). She provided the voice of Martha Day for the 1974-1975 Hanna-Barbera animated series These Are the Days.

She had a recurring role as Mariah Ramirez in General Hospital. Some of her other television guest appearances included Justice (3 episodes in 1954 and 1955), Have Gun – Will Travel (2 episodes), Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Wagon Train (2 episodes), Perry Mason, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Branded, Death Valley Days, Marcus Welby, M.D. (1974), Adam-12 (2 episodes), Quincy, M.E. (3 episodes), Vega$, Magnum, P.I. (1981), Falcon Crest, Knots Landing, The Greatest American Hero (2 episodes), Murder, She Wrote (1985), The Colbys (2 episodes), Babylon 5, 7th Heaven, Beverly Hills, 90210 (4 episodes as Celia Martin), Las Vegas, Grey's Anatomy, and Cold Case.

Lockhart made her film debut with her parents in a film version of A Christmas Carol in 1938. Some of her other film credits included All This, and Heaven Too (1940), Sergeant York (1941), Meet Me in St. Louis (1944), The Yearling (1946), and Troll (1986). In 1948, she received a Special Tony Award for Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer (a category that no longer exists) for her role on Broadway in For Love or Money.

Ms. Lockhart was one of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood, with a career spanning nearly 90 years. She was a two-time Emmy Award nominee and a Tony Award winner. She did a great job portraying mothers on television. She will be deeply missed.

We also remember actor Ed Williams. He starred as Ted Olson in Police Squad! and in The Naked Gun films. He died in Los Angeles on October 2. Mr. Williams was 98.

Williams starred as Ted Olson in the short-lived 1982 ABC sitcom Police Squad!, which was created by David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker. A spoof of police procedurals and many other television shows and movies, the series features Zucker, Abrahams and Zucker's usual sight gags, wordplay, and non sequiturs. Ted Olson is a lab technician at Police Squad. The series also starred Leslie Nielsen, Alan North, Peter Lupus, and William Duell.

Some of his sitcom guest appearances included Madame's Place, Hooperman, and The Loop. Some of his other television guest appearances included MacGyver (1986), Matlock (1989), L.A. Law, Sisters (2 episodes), and House.

He starred as lab scientist Ted Olsen in The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988), The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991), and Naked Gun 33+1⁄3: The Final Insult (1993). Some of his other film credits included The Giant of Thunder Mountain (1991), Father of the Bride (1991), and Carnosaur (1993).

Mr. Williams was a science teacher for many years and had some previous acting experience when he landed the Police Squad! role. He was funny and memorable in Police Squad! and The Naked Gun films. He will be greatly missed.

Remembering Suzanne Somers of Three's Company and Step by Step; Adult Swim Renews YOLO and Orders Women Wearing Shoulder Pads

Actress, author, singer and businesswoman Suzanne Somers, who starred as Chrissy Snow on Three's Company and as Carol Foster Lambert on Step by Step, has died. She died after a long battle with breast cancer at her home in Palm Springs, California, on October 15, the day before her 77th birthday.

Somers starred as Chrissy Snow on the ABC sitcom Three's Company from 1977 to 1981. The story revolves around three single roommates: Jack Tripper (John Ritter), Janet Wood (Joyce DeWitt), and Chrissy Snow, who all platonically live together in a Santa Monica, California, apartment complex owned by Stanley (Norman Fell) and Helen Roper (Audra Lindley). Christmas "Chrissy" Snow works as an office secretary. Somers's contract was not renewed after the fifth season following a contract dispute and Chrissy's place in the apartment was taken by her clumsy cousin Cindy Snow (Jenilee Harrison). The cast also included Richard Kline (1978-1984), Don Knotts (1979-1984), Ann Wedgeworth (1979-1980) and Priscilla Barnes (1981-1984).

She starred as Sheriff Hildy Granger on the 1987-1989 first-run syndicated sitcom She's the Sheriff. Hildy Granger is a widow with two young kids who decided to fill the shoes of her late husband, a sheriff of fictional Lakes County, Nevada (near Lake Tahoe). Somers wrote an episode in 1989. The series, which aired for two seasons, also starred George Wyner, Pat Carroll, Lou Richards, Guich Koock, Leonard Lightfoot, Taliesin Jaffe and Nicky Rose.

Somers starred as Carol Foster Lambert on the 1991-1998 sitcom Step by Step. It ran on ABC as part of its TGIF Friday night lineup from September 20, 1991, to August 15, 1997, then moved to CBS, where it aired from September 19, 1997, to June 26, 1998. Patrick Duffy and Somers starred as single parents Frank and Carol, respectively; each with three children, who wed and form a blended family. Carol is the matriarch of the Foster family, who works as a beautician and runs a hair salon out of a room in her house, originally with the cooperation of her mother, Ivy, and sister, Penny. Eventually, with Frank's help, she opens a bigger studio at a stand-alone location in the sixth season. The cast included Brandon Call, Staci Keanan, Angela Watson, Christopher Castile, Josh Byrne (1991-1997), Sasha Mitchell (1991-1996), Patrika Darbo (1991-1992), Peggy Rea (1991-1992), Emily Mae Young (1997-1998), Bronson Pinchot (1997) and Jason Marsden (1997-1998).

Some of her sitcom guest appearances included Lotsa Luck, One Day at a Time, The Love Boat, Billy (1979), The Ropers (as Chrissy Snow), The Larry Sanders Show, Full House and The Naked Truth. Some of her other television guest appearances included The Rockford Files, Starsky & Hutch (3 episodes), The Six Million Dollar Man and Sisters.

Somers played the "Blonde in the white Thunderbird" in American Graffiti (1973). In the early 1990s, she was the spokeswoman in a series of infomercials for the Thighmaster, a piece of exercise equipment which is squeezed between one's thighs above the knees. She hosted the daytime talk show The Suzanne Somers Show from 1994 to 1995. She co-hosted Candid Camera with Peter Funt on CBS from 1997 to 2000. In the fall of 2012, she hosted The Suzanne Show for 13 episodes on the Lifetime Network. In 2015, she competed on Dancing with the Stars. She wrote several books, including two autobiographies, four diet books, and a book of poetry.

She was interviewed for The Interviews: An Oral History of Television on July 15, 2009.

Ms. Somers was a talented, funny and lovely actress. She had great comedic timing as Chrissy Snow. We thank her for the laughs and entertainment that she brought us on Three's Company, She's the Sheriff, Step by Step and her other television roles. She will be deeply missed.

To commemorate the life of Suzanne Somers on what would have been her 77th birthday, Antenna TV will air a Three's Company marathon on Monday, October 16 beginning at 4pm until 4:30am ET.

We also remember actress Phyllis Coates. She was best known for her portrayal of reporter Lois Lane in the 1951 film Superman and the Mole Men and in the first season of the television series Adventures of Superman. She died on October 11 at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Ms. Coates was 96.

Coates starred as Lois Lane in the 1951 film Superman and the Mole Men, which starred George Reeves as Superman. The film served as a pilot for Adventures of Superman and prompted the start of production of the first season in August/September of the same year. Coates played Lois Lane in the first season, with Noel Neill, who had previously played Lois Lane in the film serials Superman (1948) and Atom Man vs. Superman (1950), stepping into the role in the later seasons.

She starred as Gloria on the short-lived 1954 NBC sitcom The Duke. The series, which was broadcast live, was about Duke London, a professional boxer who was also an accomplished painter. Gloria was his girlfriend. It also starred Allen Jenkins, Claude Stroud and Sheldon Leonard.

Coates starred as Nurse Madge Allen on the short-lived 1955 CBS sitcom Professional Father. The whimsical sitcom involved a child psycholigist named Tom Wilson (Steve Dunne) and his family. It also starred Barbara Billingsley, Ted Marc, Beverly Washburn and Ann O'Neal.

She starred as Clarissa Mae Holliday on the 1958-1959 sitcom This Is Alice, which starred nine-year-old Patty Ann Gerrity as Alice Holliday. The program aired in first-run syndication from October 1958 to August 1959, distributed by the NTA Film Network. The series also starred Tommy Farrell, Kathy Garver, Stephen Wootton, Lucien Littlefield and Nancy DeCarl.

Some of her sitcom guest appearances included The Abbott and Costello Show, Topper, Willy, The Great Gildersleeve, It's a Great Life (2 episodes), Leave it to Beaver, Hennesey and The Patty Duke Show (2 episodes).

She appeared as Ellen Lane, Lois Lane's mother, in the first season finale of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in 1994. Some of her other television guest appearances included The Cisco Kid (4 episodes), The Range Rider (2 episodes), The Files of Jeffrey Jones (2 episodes), The Adventures of Kit Carson (2 episodes), The Lone Ranger (3 episodes), Stage 7 (2 episodes), Lassie, General Electric Theater (3 episodes), Hawaiian Eye, Tales of Wells Fargo (2 episodes), Rawhide (2 episodes), The Untouchables (3 episodes), Perry Mason (3 episodes), Gunsmoke (3 episodes), Death Valley Days (7 episodes) and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (2 episodes).

Ms. Coates had a career spanning over fifty years. We thank her for her work as Lois Lane on Adventures of Superman and her other television roles. She will be sorely missed.

Actor Mark Goddard was best known for portraying Major Don West on Lost in Space. He died from pulmonary fibrosis in Hingham, Massachusetts, on October 10. Mr. Goddard was 87.

Goddard's first starring role was as Cully on the 1959-1960 CBS western Johnny Ringo. He starred as Sgt. Chris Ballard for the second and third seasons (1960-1962) on the ABC/NBC crime drama The Detectives (also known as The Detectives Starring Robert Taylor, Captain of Detectives, and Robert Taylor's Detectives).

He starred as Bob Randall on the 1964-1965 CBS sitcom Many Happy Returns. The show starred John McGiver as widower Walter Burnley, the manager of the Adjustments and Refunds Department at the fictitious Krockmeyer's Department Store in Los Angeles. Bob Randall is the husband of Burnley's daughter, Joan Randall (Elinor Donahue). The series also starred Richard Collier, Jesslyn Fox, Mickey Manners, Andrea Sacino and Elena Verdugo.

Goddard starred as Major Don West on the 1965-1968 CBS science fiction series Lost in Space. The series follows the adventures of the Robinsons, a pioneering family of space colonists who struggle to survive in the depths of space. U.S. Space Corps Major Donald West is the pilot of the Jupiter 2. The series also starred Guy Williams, June Lockhart, Marta Kristen, Angela Cartwright, Billy Mumy, Jonathan Harris, Bob May as The Robot and Dick Tufeld as The Robot's voice.

He starred as Ted Clayton in 10 episodes of One Life to Live in 1981. He played Lt. Paul Reed in six episodes of The Doctors in 1982. He starred as Derek Barrington in 11 episodes General Hospital from 1985 to 1986.

Some of his sitcom guest appearances included Fair Exchange, The Bill Dana Show, The Beverly Hillbillies and Benson. Some of his other television guest appearances included The DuPont Show with June Allyson, The Rebel, Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theatre, The Rilfeman, Burke's Law, Gunsmoke, Perry Mason (2 episodes), The Fugitive, Mod Squad (2 episodes), Adam-12, Switch, Petrocelli (2 episodes), The Streets of San Francisco, Quincy, M.E. (1977), B.J. and the Bear, Barnaby Jones (4 episodes), The Fall Guy and Jake and the Fatman.

Goddard starred as politician Edward Fleming in the 1977 film Blue Sunshine. He briefly appears as the military general who gives Major Don West his orders for the mission in Lost in Space (1998).

Mr. Goddard was very good as Major Don West on Lost in Space. In 2009, he released an autobiographical memoir To Space and Back. We thank him for his work on television. He will be greatly missed.

At New York Comic Con, Adult Swim announced a new stop-motion series Women Wearing Shoulder Pads, which follows a wealthy Spaniard living in Ecuador as she journeys through the complicated world of love, family, commercials, and cuyes, a.k.a. South American guinea pigs. The new series will mark Adult Swim's first-ever Spanish-language series along with its return to the stop-motion animation format. During the panel, Adult Swim also announced the third season renewal of the animated comedy YOLO from Smiling Friends co-creator Michael Cusack. With a second season that ranked #2 in its timeslot across cable in key demos, the third installment, YOLO: Rainbow Trinity, will follow a pair of Australian best friends through absurd and fantastical adventures.

Women Wearing Shoulder Pads is a quarter-hour comedy that features an all-female cast and centers on Marioneta, an extremely wealthy and ambitious Spaniard living in South America pursuing business and pleasure. Produced entirely in Spanish, with English subtitles, the series comes from creator Gonzalo Cordova (Tuca & Bertie, Adam Ruins Everything) in partnership with Mexico City-based studio Cinema Fantasma (Frankelda's Book of Spooks).

Happy New Year and welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! Unfortunately, we are starting off the new year with remembering a true TV legend, as Betty White died yesterday (just a few weeks short of her 100th birthday), but we're here with the little bit of news that we do have. Let's get going!

• This is one that we hate to see and really didn't expect to see happening, especially 17 days before what would've been her 100th birthday: Betty White has died. (CNN)
• Ratings news for streaming services is a bit rare (though becoming more common now that it's actually being measured), but for anybody wondering, Netflix's Lost in Space seems to be doing well in the streaming world. (Deadline)

• The Decades binge of The Twilight Zone continues this weekend, but if one marathon isn't enough, there are actually two other marathons of the show going on, with one on Syfy (ending today) and another on Pluto TV.
• Kenan returns for a third season on NBC on Tuesday night.
• Tuesday brings a new season of black-ish and the regular time slot premiere of Abbott Elementary to ABC.
• American Auto and Grand Crew have their regular timeslot premieres on Tuesday on NBC.
• FXX has a Family Guy marathon 185 hour marathon that lasts until New Years, and includes (we think) every episode from the first 19 seasons.

Netflix's Lost in Space Gets Final Season; Remembering Sitcom Writer Earl Pomerantz

Lost in Space has been renewed by Netflix for a third season, in which The Robinson Family's epic space journey towards Alpha Centauri will conclude. Netflix confirmed the news on social media. Additionally, Netflix and Lost in Space Executive Producer/ showrunner Zack Estrin have agreed to enter a multi-year overall deal to produce new series exclusively at Netflix. Lost in Space is a Netflix original series, produced by Legendary Television. Lost in Space stars Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio and Parker Posey.

Emmy-winning writer and producer Earl Pomerantz, who worked on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Cheers, The Cosby Show and Major Dad, has died. He died on March 7 in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Pomerantz was 75.

Pomerantz's writing career began in Canada in 1970 with the variety series The Hart and Lorne Terrific Hour, which starred his brother Hart Pomerantz and Lorne Michaels. He won his first Emmy Award in 1976 for The Lily Tomlin Special, which was the winner for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy-Variety or Music Special. He was a writer for the TV specials Flip Wilson... Of Course in 1974 and Lily in 1975.

Some of his 1970s sitcom writing credits included Sanford and Son, Doc, Phyllis, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Tony Randall Show, The Betty White Show, The Bob Newhart Show and Rhoda.

He wrote three episodes of The Cosby Show in 1984. He won an Emmy Award in 1985 when The Cosby Show was the winner for Outstanding Comedy Series. Some of his other sitcom writing credits included Taxi, Best of the West (also the creator), Newhart, Cheers, Trying Times, Family Man (also the creator), Coming of Age, Major Dad, LateLine, Becker and Kristin.

He was the creator, producer, writer and theme song lyrics writer of the 1981-1982 ABC sitcom Best of the West, a spoof of westerns. The series starred Joel Higgins, Carlene Watkins, Meeno Peluce, Leonard Frey, Tom Ewell, Valri Bromfield, Tracey Walter and Macon McCalman.

Pomerantz created the short-lived 1988 ABC sitcom Family Man. The series starred Richard Libertini, Mimi Kennedy, Alison Sweeney, Whitby Hertford and Keeley Mari Gallagher.

He developed and worked as a producer for Major Dad. Some of his other producing credits included The Cosby Show, The Larry Sanders Show, LateLine, The Fighting Fitzgeralds and Kristin. He worked as a consultant on Leo & Liz in Beverly Hills, It's Garry Shandling's Show, Thea, The Larry Sanders Show, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Goode Behavior, LateLine, Regular Joe and According to Jim.

Survivors include his brother Hart, his wife Myra, daughters Anna Pomerantz and Rachel Braude and three grandchildren.

Mr. Pomerantz worked on more than 25 sitcoms during his career. We thank him for his work on these series. He will be greatly missed.

2019 New York Comic Con Round Up

Some major news for TV series were announced this past weekend at New York Comic Con, where we were on hand of course for about the 6th straight year. Netflix's Big Mouth and Human Resources
Human Resources: We manage people. The next great animated series from the creators of Big Mouth. Coming soon. As just announced at New York Comic-Con, Netflix has ordered Human Resources, a workplace comedy set in the world of the monsters from Emmy nominated series Big Mouth. Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, and Kelly Galuskawill serve as creators and executive producers.

FX's Devs
Alex Garland's highly-anticipated television debut, FX's upcoming limited series Devs premiered its first teaser during a panel discussion at New York Comic Con featuring Garland, executive producer Allon Reich and cast members Sonoya Mizuno ("Lily"), Jin Ha ("Jamie"), Zach Grenier ("Kenton"), Stephen McKinley Henderson ("Stewart"), Cailee Spaeny ("Lyndon") and Karl Glusman ("Sergei"). New York Comic Con fans were also treated to a sneak peek at an extended trailer of the series, as well as two pivotal scenes featuring a first look at the mysteries that await viewers inside the Amaya Corporation's top-secret Devs building. Additionally, FX released three new images from the eight-episode limited series set to debut in Spring 2020. The brand new teaser and images give fans their first glimpse of Nick Offerman as Amaya's enigmatic CEO, Forest, alongside series lead Sonoya Mizuno.

AMC's Walking Dead
In front of more than five thousand New York Comic Con fans, AMC confirmed the renewal of The Walking Dead for an eleventh season and the return of Lauren Cohan, who plays fan favorite character Maggie Greene, as a season 11 series regular. The Walking Dead executive producers Scott M. Gimple and Angela Kang announced the news at the show's annual NYCC panel, surprising fans by bringing out Cohan to join the show's executive producers and cast on stage. The series' renewal came one day ahead of the show's season 10 premiere yesterday (Sunday, October 6). In addition, AMC released first-look images from the upcoming third series in The Walking Dead Universe. The series made its panel debut at New York Comic Con on Saturday with participants including co-Creators Scott M. Gimple and Showrunner Matt Negrete, along with cast members Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella. The third installment of the franchise will feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad. Produced and distributed by AMC Studios, the series will premiere on AMC in spring 2020.

CW's Roswell, New Mexico
In the aftermath of the tragic sacrifice of Max Evans (Nathan Dean) and return of Rosa Ortecho (Amber Midthunder) in the season one finale of Roswell, New Mexico, the mysterious town seemed like a place where anything could happen. It's only fitting then that the second season will see two surprising recurring guest stars: Gaius Charles from Friday Night Lights and Jason Behr, the actor who portrayed Max Evans in the original Roswell series. Cast and producers of The CW/Warner Bros. Television's sophomore series announced the cast additions during Roswell, New Mexico's New York Comic Con 2019 panel on Sunday, October 6.

Gaius Charles, who played Smash on Friday Night Lights, will recur as Bronson, a local farmer with a strong moral compass that leads him to see the good in people -- and aliens -- in a time of great prejudice. Ultimately, his quest to protect those he loves pits him against forces far more powerful than he is. Jason Behr, who played Max Evans on 1999's Roswell, also has a recurring role, which has yet to be revealed. Roswell, New Mexico returns for its second season midseason on The CW.

Apple TV Plus' Servant
At New York Comic Con 2019, Apple announced that M. Night Shyamalan's highly anticipated psychological thriller Servant, will premiere globally on Apple TV+, a new home for the world's most creative storytellers, on Thursday, November 28. Apple's Servant follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home. Academy Award-nominated Executive Producer M. Night Shyamalan directs along with BAFTA-nominated Executive Producer and Writer Tony Basgallop, who created the series. The celebrated cast of Servant includes Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island, Fantastic Four, Black Mirror), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter franchise, Snatch).

Around the Horn at NYCC
Netflix announced that Lost in Space season two will begin to stream on Tuesday, December 24. It was announced that the highly anticipated series Star Trek: Picard will premiere on CBS All Access in the U.S. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020. Following the premiere, new episodes of Star Trek: Picard's 10-episode first season will be available weekly on Thursdays, exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in the U.S. Netflix's animated comedy The Dragon Prince returns to Netflix on November 22 for a third season. The stakes are higher than ever before in the all new season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power! Coming to Netflix November 5 for a fourth season. And finally, trailers and sneak peeks were revealed for current series such Warner Bros' Riverdale and Manifest, the latter which return to the air in Spring 2020, along with many other series such as TNT's Snowpiercer (also coming in Spring 2020) and Amazon's The Expanse.

Lost in Space is coming back! Netflix, the world's leading Internet TV network, has ordered a 10-episode first season of the one-hour sci-fi drama, from Legendary TV, based on the beloved 1960's sci-fi classic from Irwin Allen. Reimagined by feature writing team Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold, Last Witch Hunter), with Zack Estrin (Prison Break) showrunning, the series will premiere worldwide on Netflix in 2018. Taking its cues from the original series, the show centers around the Robinson family, who is forced to come together in a time of crisis. Stranded light years from their intended destination, they find themselves battling a strange new alien environment and also their own personal demons. Equal parts family drama and sci-fi adventure, it is a survival story for the ages.
