SitcomsOnline Digest: Casting Changes for Night Court; Bunk'd Coming to an End

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! It's a slow news week, but there are lots of things going on with programming lineups and marathons this weekend! Also, we're hearing about some Night Court casting changes and the end of a Disney Channel series. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

Kapil Talwalkar is not returning to Night Court for season 2, which fits in with the cast instability that the original series had in earlier seasons. (Deadline)
The Disney Channel series Bunk'd is coming to an end. (Deadline)
Unless you're willing to pay $2.99 a month (a fee that we're sure will rise as time goes on), Prime Video will soon start including commercials. (CNET)

WEEKLY PLANNER (DECEMBER 30 - JANUARY 6)

Dabl has rebranded, and the lineup is now nothing but old UPN series, The Parkers, Half & Half, Moesha, Girlfriends, One on One, Sister, Sister, and The Game.
Another new digital network, The365, debuts on Monday, and will essentially give you another old UPN series as well as the WB sitcoms of the same era (and a few other things), including Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Eve, The Parent 'Hood, Roc, All of Us, In the House, For Your Love, and Are We There Yet?
Outlaw, yet another new digital network set to launch on Monday, features series including F Troop, Kung Fu, and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.
Catchy Comedy is doing short-lived sitcoms this weekend, with a binge of Bridget Loves Bernie today, followed by a binge of Fish tomorrow.
It wouldn't be a new year without a Twilight Zone marathon. Syfy has you covered today through Monday, while Heroes & Icons will take care of Monday.
NBC has a new season of Night Court, as well as the series premiere of Extended Family, on Tuesday.

SitcomsOnline Digest: Another Major Media Merger in the Works?; Digital Network Dabl Shifts Focus to Sitcoms

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! We're heading into Christmas week, but surprisingly, we have lots of news, including another possible media merger (that we imagine will face a lot of scrutiny), news about a programming format change for a digital broadcast network, and more. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

It seems that there are talks to merge Warner Bros and Paramount, though it is likely to face a lot of scrutiny. (Deadline)
In related news (and probably something that would be necessary if the two media companies were to merge), it looks like BET (and related assets, including VH1) may be up for sale again, with Byron Allen interested in purchasing. (Variety)
If you liked Run the Burbs when it aired on The CW, you won't be losing the chance to see it, as Hulu has now picked it up in an unrelated deal. (Deadline)
The reboots never stop, and this week, there are talks of one for The X-Files. (Deadline)
The network has remained quiet and refused to comment on it, but a major schedule change is coming to digital TV network Dabl (will it even still be called Dabl?) next week, and it includes nothing but episodes of mostly old UPN (and a tiny bit of The WB/The CW) sitcoms, including The Parkers, Half & Half, Moesha, Girlfriends, One on One, Sister, Sister, and The Game. John Stamos is remembering Bob Saget as the anniversary of his death approaches. (Deadline)
Since the approach that The CW was taking to air international sitcoms turned out to be a huge disaster, they're now turning to airing reruns of American broadcast network sitcoms that are still airing in primetime, or at least doing it in one case with The Conners. (SitcomsOnline)
Three's Company is back on DVD again, and this time, it includes every episode of both spinoffs. (SitcomsOnline)

WEEKLY PLANNER (DECEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 29)

It's "Game On: A Comedy Crossover Event!" Let's put the fun in family dysfunction. Bounce TV Adds One on One; Hulu Strikes Deal for Viacom Shows

Bounce TV is adding the 2001-2006 UPN sitcom One on One to their schedule starting today (Monday, July 2). Two episodes will air weekdays at 8:00PM E/7:00PM C.

The series stars Flex Alexander as a single sportscaster, who becomes a full-time dad when his ex-wife decides to accept a job out of the country and his teenaged daughter Breanna (Kyla Pratt) moves in with him. It also starred Kelly Perine, Sicily and Robert Ri'chard. One on One last aired on BET and TeenNick around 2009 to 2011, so a new generation will have the opportunity to watch this father-daughter sitcom.

The season four premiere of In the Cut will follow at 9:00PM. Living Single will move to 7:00PM. The Bernie Mac Show, which has been airing at 7:00PM, will still air at 1:00PM. Stay with us for updates on any other Bounce TV schedule changes.

Hundreds of episodes of popular programming from Viacom's family of episodes of popular programming from Viacom's family of networks are now available to stream on Hulu. Hulu is now the exclusive streaming home to full libraries of fan-favorite series including Daria, Nathan for You, My Super Sweet 16 and New Addition Story.

The deal also brings a suite of 11 series from the Nickelodeon family and and over 20 films to Hulu. Some of the titles now available to stream include Big Time Rush, School of Rock, Hunter Street, Make It Pop, Every Witch Way, WITS Academy and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. Returning favorites to Hulu include Alvinnnn!!! and the Chipmunks, Kung Fu Panda and Penguins of Madagascar.

The new deal is part of Hulu's commitment to expanding its library with programming for the whole family. More series and films from Nickelodeon will continue to rollout throughout the year. We'll keep you posted on any future additions.

BET Schedules Season 4 of The Game, New Original Sitcom; Malcolm in the Middle Moves to TeenNick

Various sources are indicating that BET has a set a premiere date of Tuesday, January 11, 2011 for the all-new season of The Game. This will be the fourth season for the sitcom, but the first season on BET. The series hasn't been in production since The CW canceled it after the 2008-09 season. BET has been airing reruns of the series to good numbers so they decided to revive the sitcom "due to popular demand." The show will air Tuesdays at 10pm starting Jan. 11, leading into BET's first original sitcom Let's Stay Together at 10:30pm. In that series, when two independently minded sisters take the step toward marriage, life puts their love to the test. This sophisticated romantic comedy series keeps its sense of humor as it tackles the intricacies of sex, intimacy, and communication. Malinda Williams and Bert Belasco star and will air Tuesdays at 10:30pm starting Jan. 11. Exact episode counts for both are not known yet, stay with us for further details.

Moving on to the current BET schedule, they have removed City Guys from the Saturday line-up, effective last week (Oct. 23). This week, they will air an In Living Color marathon from 9am-4pm, promoting its airings on sister network Centric. Original series stunts will air every other Saturday morning now instead of City Guys and other sitcoms.
BET has also returned The Jamie Foxx Show beginning yesterday to weekdays 11am hour. The series will continue to air on sister network Centric as well. And since last week, Bernie Mac's afternoon hour was moved to mornings with its first hour, so now the series airs weekdays from 9am-11am leading into Jamie Foxx at 11am. Everybody Hates Chris remains in the 12pm and 5pm hours, as The Game's morning hour moved to afternoon to join the afternoon hour. So The Game now airs from 3-5pm. As for Sundays, there are early afternoon airings of Bernie Mac, Everybody Hates Chris, and The Game, but times vary week-to-week. Stunts wise, besides In Living Color for this Saturday, there will be an Everybody Hates Chris day after Thanksgiving marathon on Friday, Nov. 26 from 9am-4pm. A Bernie Mac stunt airs on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 9am-2pm.

Malcolm in the Middle is moving from Nick at Nite to sister network TeenNick starting this November. Malcolm in the Middle was pulled from the Nick at Nite regular schedule last month and hasn't been seen since. An episode was slated to air on Nick at Nite in their Halloween marathon this coming Saturday (Oct. 30), but was replaced by a Halloween episode of Home Improvement instead. Back to TeenNick, Malcolm in the Middle will launch with a three-day block on Friday, November 26 to Sunday, November 28 from 10pm-12am for these three nights. Then effective Monday, November 29, the sitcom will air weekdays in the 10pm hour and again in the 1am hour. Malcolm in the Middle will replace Degrassi in the 10pm hour, as that hour will move to the 12am hour, cutting That '70s Show to just the 11pm hour. The second hour of That '70s Show will move to the 2am hour, as the What I Like About You 1-3am block moves to 3-5am replacing One on One, which will be off the line-up then. The daytime line-up will remain the same.
So first Full House goes from TeenNick to Nick at Nite and now Malcolm in the Middle goes from Nick at Nite to TeenNick. I think that is a better fit for Malcolm in the Middle. The series has been in contract with Viacom since July, 2009.

BET Fall 2010 Schedule Has 3 New Sitcoms; Network TV Fall Preview Specials for 2010

Up today on our annual look at the fall 2010 cable schedules is BET! BET will be airing a lot of sitcom stunts in September in lieu of their fall 2010 schedule that starts on Oct. 4. First up, this weekend for Labor Day, they will air Everybody Hates Chris on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 10am-7pm and season three episodes of The Game from 10am-10pm on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 6) itself. Every Saturday in September will feature a sitcom stunt with Sister, Sister on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 10am-5pm, the launch marathon of new acquisition City Guys on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10am-6pm. City Guys hasn't been seen on cable since WGN many years ago. Then on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10am-5:30pm it is a block of One on One. On Saturday, October 2 from 12pm-6pm, BET will air a sitcom marathon of sister network Centric's sitcom The Steve Harvey Show leading into the BET premiere of new sitcom acquisition Bernie Mac from 6pm-8pm. And yes, Bernie Mac will be shared with cable network FX.
So, we have so far two new sitcom acquisitions for BET: City Guys and Bernie Mac. In this blog's title I mentioned there are THREE new sitcoms. The other one is... The Cosby Show! Yes, the classic family comedy will have a five-day marathon from Monday, Sept. 27 through Friday, Oct. 1 from 11am-5pm each day! The Huxtables will not be joining the BET regular schedule it seems the following week. Why? It will be joining sister network Centric's primetime fall schedule starting Sept. 27! Centric currently airs sitcoms The Steve Harvey Show & The Jamie Foxx Show along with dramas The A-Team & Miami Vice and animated comedy The Proud Family. They also air Smart Guy stunts. We will have Centric's fall 2010 schedule soon for you, so stay tuned for regular times for The Cosby Show, including a launch marathon of their own on Sunday, Sept. 26. And don't be surprised if you see Cliff and the gang pop-up on BET from time to time.
Anyway, back to the BET Fall schedule. The schedule starts on Monday, Oct. 4 with Bernie Mac in the 10am hour, replacing One on One. Maybe that will move to Centric? We shall see. An hour each of The Game and Everybody Hates Chris remains at 11am & 12pm. Then a movie airs at 1pm leading into The Game's new afternoon timeslot of 3pm, as now Bernie Mac will air in the 4pm hour leading into Everybody Hates Chris in the 5pm hour. On Saturdays, we have City Guys airing usually from 9am-11pm, followed by the return of Sister Sister from 11am-1pm. An hour each of Everybody Hates Chris & The Game airs at 1pm & 2pm leading into Bernie Mac from 3pm-5pm. And finally on Sundays, the only thing of note is Everybody Hates Chris in the 1pm hour leading into Bernie Mac from 2-4pm.

Pretty soon it will be that time of year again...the start of the new TV season. So let's get ready for that with annual network preview specials to inform us on what is new and returning! See our Fall 2009 preview from last year.

First up we will look at ABC. ABC's Fall 2010 preview special is actually in two half-hours. They have been titled ABC 2010 Red Carpet Premiere Event: Laugh ON and ABC 2010 Red Carpet Premiere Event: No Ordinary Dramas hosted by Cameron Mathison and Nancy O'Dell with reports from Rico Rodriguez of Modern Family. It started airing on local ABC affiliates last weekend (Aug. 28-29). It can be aired between August 28-Sept. 19, 2010 on local stations, so check your local listings. Both half-hours will air nationally on ABC on Sunday, September 19 back-to-back at 5pm ET/4pm CT/3pm MT-PT. The first fall preview special is about the new fall dramas that will be joining the line-up in September including No Ordinary Family, My Generation and two 10:00 PM dramas: Detroit 1-8-7 and The Whole Truth. And the second special highlights ABC Laugh On Wednesday featuring returning hits, The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town as well as new comedies; Better Together, Happy Endings and Mr. Sunshine. These specials will air on ABC-owned cable networks as well, as of now ABC Family has scheduled them both on Monday, Sept. 13 at 12am ET/11pm CT. Both specials are on abc.com as well: Laugh ON and No Ordinary Dramas.
The CBS Fall 2010 preview special, simply titled again CBS Fall Preview will be a primetime special previewing CBS's new fall lineup, to be hosted by the stars of the new Wednesday drama The Defenders - Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell - will be broadcast on Monday (Sept. 6) from 8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. The preview will feature sneak peeks of the five new additions to CBS's primetime schedule this fall: the drama series Hawaii Five-0, The Defenders and Blue Bloods and the comedy series $#*! My Dad Says and Mike & Molly. Hosts Jerry O'Connell and Jim Belushi will introduce the video previews for each new series with a fun mix of banter during what appears to be a wardrobe fitting for their Vegas lawyer characters, surrounded by bold suits and pinky rings galore.
The NBC Fall 2010 preview special (titled once again The NBC Primetime Preview) has aired on their cable owned networks & local NBC affiliates since Aug. 7 and will continue to run through Sept. 27 (in NYC on WNBC Sat Sept. 4 at 7pm). The lively 30-minute cavalcade will feature exclusive, behind-the-scenes views to be delivered across a wide gamut of NBC Universal media platforms beginning August 7 through September 27. The program will run nearly 500 times over broadcast and cable platforms. The annual Fall program will be offered to NBC's 232 television stations (check local listings) as well as other channel entities such as USA, Syfy, Bravo, UniHD, Chiller, mun2, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen, Sleuth, NBC2Go, on-demand and broadband. NBC stations will also make it available on their websites while NBC.com will feature it as well. NBC stations can also run it on their websites while NBC.com is also running it as well. In addition, the program will be once again screened on selected American Airlines flights (estimated to be shown on approximately 11,000 flights). Watch now online.
The Fox Fall 2010 preview special has already started airing on local Fox affiliates (in NY WNYW Sat Sept. 4 at 3pm). It will only run on local Fox affiliates again and not on Fox in primetime. No information is available as of this writing on who is hosting and what the special features. No idea yet also if it will be on fox.com.

The CW's Fall 2010 TV preview special called The 2010 CW Fall Preview Special is available online and is airing on local CW affiliates (such as NY's WPIX on this Friday Sept. 3 at 5:30pm)! TeenNick Fall 2010 Schedule; Minor Changes to WGN America Fall 2010 Schedule

Today we will take a look at TeenNick's Fall 2010 schedule. The schedule starts on Tuesday, Sept. 7, as on Labor Day (Sept. 6) TeenNick presents a full-day marathon of Degrassi. As for the schedule, it is pretty similar to the schedule now but with a few time tweak and minor returns. Growing Pains returns to the schedule airing on Sunday nights (early Monday mornings) in the 5am hour! Other notable airings are Full House everyday from 6am-9am, One on One from 11am-1pm & 3am-4:30am, What I Like About You from 1pm-3pm & 1am-3am, That '70s Show from 11pm-1am, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch from 4:30am-6am. Sabrina seems to be leaving the schedule starting Sept. 23, so One on One will air from 3-6am.
As for highlights, there are two Degrassi stunts: Labor Day and Oct. 1-3 with full day marathons. That '70s Show gets a 24-hour marathon starting at 6pm on Friday, Sept. 10.

We have given you two updates already on WGN America (update 1 / update 2), but now we have another update. This isn't anything major, but it is noteworthy. Starting Monday, Sept. 13, WGN America will add a second airing of Matlock to weekday mornings, adding 9am ET and it will also still air at 10am ET. The Beverly Hillbillies was set to air at 9am ET, but now that will be moved to the 8am ET hour where paid programming was originally planned. The other changes are to weekends, with an extra In the Heat of the Night being added to Saturday mornings starting Sept. 25 at 10am ET, replacing Matlock. And Heat will still air in the 9am ET hour. For Sundays, starting Sept. 26, WGN America will now have Dharma & Greg air in the 6pm ET hour rather than Just Shoot Me!, and as a result, Just Shoot Me! is not on the schedule anymore. We will let you know if it will be rescheduled again, but as of now, it will not. Drive in Theatre Movie will now air Sundays at 10am-12pm.

BET's Ten Straight Days of Sitcom Marathons; FX Orders Second Season Of The League

This holiday season BET gears up with sitcom marathons! Starting Monday, December 21, you'll get 10 full days of sitcom marathons! Things kick off with a marathon of One on One on Monday, Dec. 21 from 10am-6pm. That series is not airing regularly on BET anymore, so it is nice to see it air. Then the very next day, Tuesday, December 22, we have a marathon of Sister, Sister! The twin fun airs from 10am-6pm, as this series is only airing Saturday mornings now (9am-12pm) on BET. Then the next three days spend your Christmas and get your game on with The Game. On Wednesday, December 23 it is a season one marathon from 10am-11pm, with select episodes airing again from 1am-3am. On Christmas Eve during the same time periods, we have a season two marathon. And on Christmas Day itself during the same time periods, we have a season three marathon. On Kwanzaa, Saturday, Dec. 26, spend your Saturday with The Jamie Foxx Show from 9am-9pm. The sitcom will lead into the BET premiere of the big screen movie Miami Vice starring Jamie Foxx. After the movie airs from 9pm-12am, we have a classic marathon of the '80s Miami Vice TV series from 12am-4am, which airs regularly on sister network Centric. Then on Sunday, December 27 from 1pm-6pm a marathon of The Steve Harvey Show will air. That series also airs regularly on sister network Centric.
The following week will see three more marathons! On Monday, Dec. 28, we have a marathon of Family Matters from 10am-11pm. Urkel and company air regularly on sister network Nick at Nite. On Tuesday, Dec. 29, it is more Family Matters from 10am-3pm. And finally on Wednesday, Dec. 30, the 10 straight days of marathon concludes with a marathon of Nickelodeon's True Jackson, V.P. from 10am-3pm. Movies such as Crooklyn and Juwanna Man will also air on Dec. 29 and 30, since the marathons end early on these two days.

FX's freshman comedy The League has been picked up for a second season with an expanded order of 13 episodes from FX Productions.
Season two is scheduled to return in late summer of 2010. The first season finale of The League airs tonight (Thursday, Dec. 10) at 10:30 PM ET/PT, immediately following the season five finale of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia at 10:00 PM.
Episode five of The League (12/3/09) was the second highest-rated of the season, ahead of the premiere and behind episode two. Through five episodes, the series is averaging 1.06 million viewers and 863,000 viewers Adults 18-49. Compared to year ago time period, The League has grown 44% among Adults 18-49, 65% in Adults 18-34, and 107% in Men 18-34. The delivery of Adults 18-34 (680,000) are 61% higher than the first season of Sunny (419,000), and 16% more in Adults 18-49 (Sunny season one, 747,000).
FX is raising the stakes in comedy. In addition to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League, the network will debut the new animated series Archer on Thursday, January 14 at 10:00 PM ET/PT, and Louie, starring stand-up comedian/actor Louis C.K. in the spring. FX has ordered ten episodes of Archer and 13 of Louie. FX previously ordered seasons six and seven of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, with season six scheduled to launch next summer.
Set against the backdrop of a fantasy football league, The League is about friendship, marriage, parenting, and growing upor refusing to grow up. It was created by the husband-and-wife team of Jeff Schaffer (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld) and Jackie Marcus Schaffer (Disturbia, EuroTrip) who serve as executive producers. The ensemble features Mark Duplass, Stephen Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Katie Aselton and Jon Lajoie. The series is produced by FX Productions.

Ugly Betty Reruns on TV Guide Network Details; TeenNick, Nick at Nite Halloween Programs

Back in July we told you that TV Guide Network has gotten the rerun rights to Ugly Betty starting this October with repurpose rights then daily strip rights starting in fall 2010...now we have details on the repurpose rights!
Thursday nights are about to get a little bit 'Bettyer' as TV Guide Network prepares to telecast encore airings of the new season of Ugly Betty this fall. Longtime fans and curious newcomers that miss the Friday premiere of new Ugly Betty episodes on ABC can get caught up with TV Guide Network Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT, beginning October 22.
The season premiere this year is a two-part episode, so part two will air on TV Guide Network on Friday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. And if you forgot what happened on last season's season finale, then you can catch up on either Thursday or Friday of this week (Oct. 15 and 16) and watch it on TV Guide Network at 7pm both nights, just in time for the two-hour season premiere on ABC from 8-10pm on Friday.
Leading up to the October 22 encore telecast, TV Guide Network will air special Ugly Betty themed programming including a behind-the-scenes look at the set of Ugly Betty, cast interviews, a series overview, scoop on the new season, and fashion tips on how to emulate the characters' signature styles on the show.
Among the specials airing are inFANity: Ugly Betty (October 19 at 7 p.m.); The Fashion Team: Ugly Betty Style (October 20 at 7 p.m.); and Look-A-Like: America Ferrera (October 21 at 7 p.m.). Other specials that will air are Look-A-Like: Salma Hayek, Lindsay Lohan, and Lucy Liu...all who appeared on the show.
TV Guide Network also wants to give Ugly Betty fans a chance to be on television. Fans are invited to share their comments and reactions to the new season by uploading video comments to a new YouTube channel created specifically for them. Fans who visit www.youtube.com/uglybettyfans will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the show, talk about which characters they love and which they love to hate, give their reactions to the latest episodes, and send a hello to their favorite cast members. A selection of YouTube video posts will air on TV Guide Network leading up to each Thursday Ugly Betty encore telecast.
On Saturday, October 17 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., Ugly Betty fans in the Los Angeles area are invited to meet in the second floor courtyard area of the Hollywood & Highland Center for a chance to be interviewed about the show. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite character and should come prepared to talk about their favorite Ugly Betty episodes and stars, and why they love the show. Fan interviews will air on TV Guide Network Thursdays before Ugly Betty encore airings.

TeenNick's (Formerly The N) has a week-long Halloween marathon that will...well scae you! TeenNick's "Now THAT's Scary" programming will include marathons featuring the hair-raising chills and thrills of teendom from Monday, Oct. 26 to Thursday, Oct. 29, starting at 8:00 p.m. (ET) through 12:00 a.m. (ET) and continues Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31 with afternoon marathons starting at 3 p.m. (ET) of Degrassi: The Next Generation through 12:00 a.m. (ET). The "nightmare-athons" in primetime (Oct. 26-29) will feature episodes of Full House, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, One on One and What I Like About You with a block of each show each night.
Other Nickelodeon family of networks Halloween programming includes a Glenn Martin Halloween episode on Nick at Nite. On Monday, Oct. 26, Nick at Nite will kick off a night of Halloween-themed programming with a brand-new Glenn Martin, DDS at 8:00 p.m. followed by Halloween-themed episodes of Malcolm in the Middle, Everybody Hates Chris and George Lopez from 8:30-11pm.
And Nickelodeon will have Halloween-themed episodes of its live action series The Troop and True Jackson VP on Oct. 23 and 24 at 8:30pm.

Jamie Foxx Show Returns to BET; Premiere Ratings for ION's Durham County and Criminal Minds

The Jamie Foxx Show last aired on BET in March 2008...and now it will return! Effective Monday, September 28, 2009, Jamie Foxx Show returns to BET's daytime line-up. The sitcom will air 9-11am and 3-4pm starting Sept. 28. We are not sure yet if the morning airings will be every week or just that week, as we only have the schedule through this month. Also, finally joining the weekday schedule is Everybody Hates Chris. Currently it is only airing on weekends, but that will change starting Sept. 28 when Chris will air weekdays 12-1pm and 5-6pm. This means The Game will move to 11am-12pm and 4-5pm. Chris will still air on weekends as well (Saturdays 2-3pm and Sundays approx. 12-1pm).
The additions of Jamie Foxx and Everybody Hates Chris has removed Sister Sister, One on One and Smart Guy from the weekday line-up. However, Smart Guy will still air Saturdays 11am-12pm following a block of Proud Family from 9-11am. The Game airs Saturdays 12-2pm leading into Chris.
As of now it seems Sister Sister and One on One are off the line-up totally. Sister Sister launched on BET this summer in July, while One on One has been airing since last October. Stay with us for more on if these shows will return, as we haven't seen the October schedule yet. Maybe they are just benched like Steve Harvey Show?

ION Television launched their new series Durham County on Monday at 10pm and it did an OK 0.5/1 HH rating/share following the ION premiere of new acquisition Criminal Minds, which did a better 0.8/1 HH rating/share (we don't have total viewer numbers). However, Durham County's pilot did re-air at 11pm immediately following the premiere airing, and the pilot is encoring all this week at 11pm...so will that help next Monday? We'll have to see. Ratings for Tuesday and last night are not available yet for primetime, so we'll have to wait and see if Criminal Minds and Ghost Whisperer is helping ION every weekday. Tonight NCIS returns to the schedule after having like six weeks off.

The N Changes Its Schedule; WGN America Teams with Michael Winslow Every Wednesday Night

It looks like The N changed their mind for their schedule during the last few weeks before the name change to TeenNick. Full House will remain in the 8pm-10pm slot after all for the weeks of Sept. 14 and 21. In fact, there are a lot of changes to the schedule starting Sept. 14. Full House will no longer air in the 6am hour after this week, as Caitlin's Way takes over in the 6am hour, followed by an hour each of Radio Free Roscoe, True Jackson VP, The Assistants, and drama The Best Years. Then we have two hours each of Degrassi and One on One leading into an hour of True Jackson VP at 3pm. Then two-hour blocks will air for the rest of the day, starting at 4pm with What I Like About You, followed by Zoey 101, Full House, One on One, That '70s Show, What I Like About You, and more Full House. Weekends will be filled with a lot of Degrassi, and shows like True Jackson VP and Zoey 101.
We still don't know yet what the TeenNick schedule will be starting Sept. 28. Will it be the same as when it was known as The N? We shall see. Stay with us! For now view the full schedule for the weeks of Sept. 14 and 21 on The N.

As we mentioned on the WGN America Fall 2009 story, they will have an '80s night on Wednesdays starting TONIGHT. Tonight WGN America will debut "Way Back Wednesday with Winslow," a totally tubular 80's movie night. Each Wednesday, from 8-10pm ET, WGN America will air a 1980's themed movie and will kick off "Way Back Wednesday with Winslow" with Police Academy at 8pm ET.
"Way Back Wednesday with Winslow" will be hosted each week by Michael Winslow who appeared in Police Academy 1-7 (as Sgt. Larvell "Motor Mouth" Jones), Gremlins and Spaceballs, and is known as the "Man of 10,000 sound effects." Winslow and his sound effects will be featured each week in the movie night's open, close, bumps and bridges.
"Way Back Wednesday with Winslow" will feature rad 80's classics including: Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, National Lampoon's European Vacation, Risky Business, Sixteen Candles, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Poltergeist, Lethal Weapon, Uncle Buck, Mr. Mom, Arthur, The Great Outdoors and Spies Like Us.

BET Fall 2009 Schedule; Lucy Removed on Hallmark; Glenn Martin Doing Big for Nick at Nite

This September on BET they will add a new series and also have a stay in school initiative. All of the Viacom networks are having a "Stay in School" initiative and will air a special across the Viacom networks on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8pm ET/PT called Get Schooled. It is a 30-minute special that will describe the education crisis in the US and introduce solutions on how to turn things around. The President of the United States Barack Obama, pop superstar Kelly Clarkson and 2009 NBA MVP LeBron James will be featured in Get Schooled: You Have the Right.
The program will air simultaneously on BET, BET J, CMT, CMT Pure Country, COMEDY CENTRAL, Logo, MTV, MTV Jams, MTV Hits, MTV Tr3s, MTV2, mtvU, Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite, Nicktoons Network, Palladia, Spike TV, The N/TeenNick, TV Land, VH1, VH1 Classic and VH1 Soul.
Anyway, back to BET September. They will air back to school programming in honor of this initiative. The Game will kick it off on Labor Day weekend from Saturday, Sept. 5 through and including Monday, Sept. 7. The marathon will air 9am-12am on Saturday, 1pm-6pm on Sunday, and 9am-11pm on Monday. Season one episodes will air Saturday and Sunday and season two episodes on Monday.
Next up in this week-long initiative is the launch of Everybody Hates Chris to BET. It will air Tuesday, Sept. 8 from 9am-6pm. It technically launches Sunday, Sept. 6 in the 12-1pm hour, though. Airing Wednesday-Friday that week are One on One on Wednesday, Smart Guy on Thursday, and Sister Sister on Friday...all from 9am-6pm. And finally on Saturday (Sept. 12), the week-long event concludes with The Proud Family from 9am-10:30am and The Steve Harvey Show from 10:30am-4:30pm, as this series airs for the first time on BET in a while. BET will also have a special called Bring Your "A" Game premiering Saturday, Sept. 12 at 9pm ET and encores Sunday, Sept. 13 at 12:30pm ET.
As for the regular schedule, it will start Monday, Sept. 14, but the regular schedule (as of now) isn't changing. Morning hours of Smart Guy, One on One, Sister Sister and The Game will air from 9am-1pm. A movie follows at 1pm, then more sitcoms starting at 3pm with One on One, Sister Sister and The Game. The 12:30pm & 5:30pm episodes of The Game will be season three episodes for the first time on BET. The Game will air on some nights in the 10pm hour as well. As of now, Everybody Hates Chris will just air on weekends. We mentioned Sundays in the 12-1pm hour starting Sept. 6. Saturdays will be added starting Sept. 19 airing Saturdays 3-4pm. One on One and The Game will be its lead-in on Saturdays. Everybody Hates Chris will be also airing on sister network Nick at Nite every night at 10pm and 2am ET/PT starting Sept. 7, as we mentioned.

The Hallmark Channel continues with the little changes basically every week it seems. Starting next week (Monday, Aug. 31), Cheers replaces I Love Lucy in late nights at 2:30am ET/PT. So this means I Love Lucy is off the schedule totally now, while Cheers now gets a two-hour block from 1am-3am. It's been good news for Cheers, as it will also air weekday afternoons now on WGN America this fall, in addition to its Sunday airings. As for I Love Lucy, it will be no where to be found nationally now. Hopefully Hallmark Channel brings it back very soon.

Nick at Nite's new stop-motion animated original series Glenn Martin, DDS reached a total 11 million viewers (8/17/09-8/20/09) and averaged 2.6 million viewers per telecast in its premiere week (Monday-Thursday, Aug. 17-20, 8 p.m.–8:30 p.m. [all times ET/PT]), according to Nielsen. The first television series from Michael Eisner's Tornante Animation starring Kevin Nealon, Catherine O'Hara and Judy Greer, also ranked as ad-supported cable's number-one co-viewed entertainment series in prime time for the week with 40% of Adults 18-49 watching with at least one kid per household.
The premiere episodes that week held 89% of its lead-in ratings (new episodes of The Penguins of Madagascar) with kids 2-11 (3.9 K2-11 rating/1.4 million K2-11 viewers); 83% with Adults 18-49 (0.5 18-49 rating/581,000 viewers 18-49); and 91% with total viewers (2.6 million).
The week of premieres also propelled Nick at Nite's prime-time growth. Year to date, the network posted gains of 50% with total viewers during prime time and quarter to date, it grew 39%.
The series airs new episodes every Monday at 8pm after that premiere week...however a new episode of Glenn Martin was added for this past Tuesday (Aug. 25) at 8pm (with an encore at 1am). Encore episodes were also added for this Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm & 1am, along with Friday (Aug. 28) 9-10pm and Saturday and Sunday night at 1am for this week. Wow! More encores to come I'm sure. It looks like Nick at Nite has an original hit.

The N September 2009 Schedule; Criminal Minds Now 5 Days a Week on A&E

Last week we mentioned Full House launches Aug. 31 on The N...now we have the final weeks schedule for The N before the network renames into TeenNick on Sept. 28. We're not sure yet if TeenNick will have any changes to the schedule yet, but we do have the schedule for The N's final weeks.
Full House in primetime will be just for two weeks, the week of Aug. 31 from 8pm-12am and the week of Sept. 8 from 8pm-10pm. It will move to its regular slot of 6-7am starting Sept. 8. One on One returns to the line-up and will air 8pm-12am starting week of Sept. 14. While One on One returns, Moesha will be leaving the schedule as its morning 8-9am airing will be replaced by more Zoey 101 and its late night block will be replaced by One on One from 4-6am. What I Like About You now will air 6-8pm and 2-4am, while That '70s Show remains from 12-2am. The rest of the schedule is filled with Nickelodeon and The N originals: Unfabulous, Zoey 101, Caitlin's Way, Radio Free Roscoe, The Assistants, The Best Years, True Jackson VP, and of course Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Weekends will have various programming and is different each week it seems. Marathons of True Jackson VP (Sept. 13 6am-6pm; Sept. 19 6am-6pm) and Degrassi: The Next Generation (Sept. 12 1pm-10pm; Sept. 13 6pm-11pm) are among the highlights.
Degrassi: The Next Generation will have a Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7) marathon from 6am-12am. Degrassi: The Next Generation closes The N on its last weeknight as well on Friday, Sept. 25 with a marathon from 6am-12am. There will be a two-night late night block as well that week on Thursday night and Friday night from 2am-6am. And finally, Degrassi: The Next Generation closes The N on the weekend of Sept. 26-27 from 6pm-12am with two-hour episodes. Technically Sabrina the Teenage Witch will be the last show on The N at 5:30am before it turns into TeenNick on Sept. 28. Yes, the rotating wheel on Sundays at 5:30am continues with Clueless, Growing Pains, and Sabrina.

This September, A&E will expand Criminal Minds to 5 days a week! Right now it was just airing two nights a week in primetime but starting Monday, August 31 Criminal Minds will air weekdays at 1pm and 7pm ET/PT.
The weekday schedule will now look like this starting at 7am with Crossing Jordan, The Sopranos, American Justice, Cold Case Files, double shot of CSI: Miami at 11am & 12pm, Criminal Minds at 1, more The Sopranos, American Justice, Cold Case Files, another double shot of CSI: Miami at 5pm & 6pm, and Criminal Minds at 7pm. Original programming airs from 8pm-4am on weeknights.
Criminal Minds will continue to air on Friday and Sunday nights in primetime as well. CSI: Miami will continue to air on weekends and primetime as well, as well as The Sopranos. And finally, Criminal Minds will have a Labor Day (Sept. 7) marathon from 8am-8pm.

BET Acquires Sister, Sister; ABC Removes Scrubs Repeats Slated to Begin June 23

BET has acquired the rights to air the hit '90s sitcom Sister, Sister starting this July! The Tia and Tamara Mowry sitcom will launch on BET with an all-day 4th of July marathon from 9am-4am ET/PT on Saturday, July 4! There will also be a block on Sunday, July 5 from 12pm-5pm ET/PT as well. Then starting Monday, July 6, Sister, Sister will air weekdays in the 12 noon hour and also in the 4pm hour leading into The Game at 5pm, which also stars Tia Mowry. Talk about seeing double! We will have more updates on BET's sitcoms soon, but as of now the daytime schedule starting in July looks like this: 9-10am Proud Family, 10-11am Smart Guy, 11am-12pm One on One, 12-1pm Sister Sister, 1-3pm Movie, 3-4pm One on One, 4-5pm Sister Sister, and 5-6pm The Game.
Sister, Sister will still remain on ABC Family as well. They air it weekdays 7-8am and 1-2pm...so another double dose of the twins. BET is picking up the WGN America deal, as they lose rights to the series at the end of this month. So that's how BET is going to air Sister, Sister. WGN America recently only aired the series once a week in the very late nights, then they removed it from the schedule completely.

ABC has removed the Scrubs repeats slated to start on Tuesday, June 23 at 9:30pm. Instead, ABC will expand upcoming new reality-celeb competition series The Superstars to 90-minutes, airing 8pm-9:30pm ET/PT. Airing at 9:30pm now will be the return of Better off Ted with new episodes. That was slated to air at 9pm previously on Tuesdays. Officially ABC has only expanded the first two episodes of The Superstars to 90-minutes, but if it does well, expect all of them that way. The series will last through Tuesday, August 4. If the series is not expanded beyond the first two weeks, I would expect an hour of Better off Ted--new and repeat, instead of a Scrubs repeat mixed in. But like I said, expect Ted to only air at 9:30pm, as The Superstars will likely do very well and continue to air 90-minutes throughout its run. Some drama in the Bahamas!

Nick at Nite March 2009: Lopezadrine; BET Changes Its Mind, 'Fresh', 'Matters' Marathons Are Back

From the network that brought you "Luck 'o the Lopez" last St. Patrick's Day, brings you "Lopezadrine." It is an all-night marathon of George Lopez on Nick at Nite, clinically proven to reduce the risk of boredom by 800%. Used correctly, Lopezadrine is guaranteed to keep you laughing throughout the night. The seven hour marathons airs from 9pm-4am on Sunday, March 15, 2009.
In other Nick at Nite news, last week the schedule was changed for that week only, with George Lopez at 9 and another Family Matters at 10:30pm from Mon-Thurs. Now that schedule will be in effect until further notice, as you all probably noticed this week.
So we have George at 9, Home Improvement at 9:30, another George at 10, triple shot of Family Matters from 10:30pm-12am, followed by double shots of Home Improvement and George Lopez in the 12 and 1am hours. The Mon-Thurs nights conclude with a Fresh Prince block from 2-5am and an hour of Roseanne mornings at 5am. No changes will be made to the Fri-Sun blocks.

On Friday, we mentioned BET removed the March Saturday marathons...guess what? Now they're back! Some things have changed from the original plan, but they are back. Originally this coming weekend was supposed to be Family Matters, but we will now get a mix of One on One (from 12pm-4pm) and The Game (4pm-6pm). Earlier the Proud Family Movie airs from 9-11a followed by two episodes of the series. So get ready to spring forward that night, as the clocks go ahead an hour. BET will air The Game encores before and after that from 2-3am EST and 4-5am EDT. So that will technically air back-to-back in a two-hour block.
The following Saturday (March 14) we have One on One again from 12pm-4pm followed by a 12-hour marathon of sister station Nick at Nite's The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 4pm-4am!
The week after (Saturday, March 21) will be another series from sister station Nick at Nite, this time Family Matters. The marathon will also continue to the next day on Sunday, March 22. On Saturday Steve Urkel and company will air from 10am-11pm. That's thirteen "lucky" hours of Urkel. And if that's not all the following day (Sunday, March 22), the show will air from 1pm-6pm, for an additional five-hour block.
Finally, March madness ends with a marathon of Season 2 episodes of The Game on Saturday, March 28 from 2pm-2am...so a nice 12-hour marathon.

BET Premieres The Game One Week Earlier, Adds Sitcom Marathons in March; TVLandPRIME.com Adds High School Reunion Content; Boomerang News

We were the first ones to announce that BET had acquired sitcom The Game to its lineup starting Feb. 23, now BET will move up the premiere up a week to Feb. 16...that is this Monday! They will launch the series now with a marathon, too. The President's Day The Game marathon will air from 9am-6pm on Monday (Feb. 16) featuring the first 18 episodes of the series. It will also start airing in the regular line-up the following day (Tuesday, Feb. 17) airing weekdays 12-1pm and Thursdays 10-11pm. The weekdays 12-1pm hour will replace The Steve Harvey Show, which now goes off the line-up. Originally The Game was going to air 1-2pm, but now that is not happening, and Hell Date will remain 1-2pm. The Game will also have a block on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 1pm-4pm. Then starting Monday, Feb. 23, The Game will also air weekdays 5-6pm in addition to its 12-1pm slot, so cutting Smart Guy's late afternoon block in half to just 4-5pm. The Game was originally going to air 11pm-12am, but Judge Hatchett will now remain in that slot.
Starting February 28, BET will have sitcom marathons all March long on weekends! On Saturday, Feb. 28 from 9am-8pm we will have an all-day One on One marathon! For the following weekend (March 7-8), we will have Family Matters! Sister station Nick at Nite's series returns to BET for another marathon airing. The marathon airs Saturday, March 7 from 12pm-8pm, following the Proud Family block and Proud Family Movie. Family Matters will also air Sunday, March 8 from 12pm-4pm. The weekend after that (March 14-15), we get more Urkel and company with Family Matters once again on Saturday, March 14 from 2pm-5pm and Sunday, March 15 from 12-2pm. So a shorter block that weekend, but still a whole lotta Urkel on BET. Next, the weekend of March 21-22, will feature another sitcom from sister station Nick at Nite! This time catch Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on Saturday, March 21 from 4pm-10pm and again on Sunday, March 22 from 4pm-8pm. The final weekend in March (March 28-29), will have yet more Fresh Prince! This time just on that Saturday (March 28) from 6pm-10pm.
So that's BET's sitcom update for you! Of course, as usual, this is subject to change. We will keep you up to date on further developments and we will also provide episode info for those weekend sitcom marathons in March on our message board thread for this. So stay tuned!

Boomerang will ring-in Valentine's Day with a network premiere of It's Valentine's Day, Johnny Bravo on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 8 p.m. (ET). The half-hour animated special follows a six-hour marathon of dating-themed episodes of Johnny Bravo, one of the first three original series created by Cartoon Network in 1997.
Johnny Bravo is a buff, girl-chasing-mama's-boy who can't seem to get a date in spite of his good looks and an even better hairdo. On Saturday, February 14, (Valentine's Day), Johnny Bravo's funniest dating disasters will be showcased in a six and a half-hour marathon beginning at 2 p.m. (ET) on the commercial-free Boomerang network. The marathon will culminate with the network premiere of the special, It's Valentine's Day, Johnny Bravo at 8 p.m. (ET).
In this very special episode, we learn that Valentine's Day is in fact Johnny Bravo's birthday also, which might explain his penchant for amorous antics. He yet again strikes out with the ladies until his "mama," Bunny Bravo, sets him up on a blind date with a real "knock-out"-literally. Meeting the girl of his dreams turns out to be a true nightmare during what should be the most romantic night of the year. Nick at Nite January 2009 Highlights; BET Adds Family Matters and Proud Family Marathons; 15th Annual SAG Awards Nominees

As we mentioned yesterday, today we will give you highlights of Nick at Nite January 2009! Once again, the regular schedule will remain the same, as we mentioned yesterday the line-up is doing very well in the ratings. Their #1 show George Lopez will get a five-day, all-night marathon from Monday, Jan. 5 through Friday, Jan. 9! It will be called "La Vida Lopez" George Lopez marathon! Can't get enough of George Lopez? Nick at Nite will air back-to-back George Lopez episodes for five nights straight all-nite long from 9pm-6am. Come early and be ready to laugh all-nite into the wee hours.
Also, Family Matters fans take note...Nick at Nite will break into the regularly scheduled episodes starting Monday, January 12, so it can show you season one episodes! Nick at Nite has never showed season one, just three episodes (#4, #17, #21) from stunts. All 22 season one episodes will air in a row before going back to where it last left off on Jan. 11. The last season one episode airs on January 21 at 11:30pm, then it goes back to where it left off on Jan. 11 with #105/106 on Jan. 22.

We told you before that BET will be having Christmas marathons featuring their sitcoms. Now BET has revised its Christmas sitcom marathons. Kicking off the sitcom week of marathons now will be Family Matters! Yes, Family Matters! The show will be only airing for a one-time only marathon and is being borrowed from sister Viacom station Nick at Nite. Both BET and Nick at Nite are owned by Viacom. Top-rated Urkel episodes and all the Christmas episodes will air. Family Matters marathon kicks off marathon week on BET on Tuesday, December 23 from 9am-6pm with select episodes being repeated from 12am-4am. Then on Christmas Eve (Wednesday, December 24), it will now be a marathon of the sitcom One on One from 9am-6pm. On Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25) itself, as we mentioned before, Smart Guy will air from 9am-8pm. A Different World fans can see a Christmas episode of the series that night at 3am. On Kwanza (Friday, December 26) we now get a marathon of the animated sitcom The Proud Family. The series will join the BET line-up in January, and we will have more details on that soon! The marathon will air 9am-8pm leading into the BET premiere of the feature film The Proud Family Movie. The series originally aired on Disney Channel. Finally, the marathons end with Girlfriends on Saturday, December 27 from 9am-4am, as we mentioned.

The 15th Annual Screen Actor Guild Awards (SAG) nominees were announced today. Leading the pack were Boston Legal, Mad Men, The Closer and 30 Rock with 3 nominations each. Among the broadcast networks, NBC led with 8 nominations and ABC was right behind with 7. HBO led all networks with 9 nominations. The awards will air Sunday, Jan. 25, on TNT and TBS at 8 PM ET/PT.

Happy Thanksgiving; Marathons on TV This Holiday Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! We thank you for visiting us on this special day and every other day. We also are very thankful that you all continue to visit every single day and making this blog a huge success. We get thousands of visitors every day (even on weekends). So, we thank you for the growth each year! It is simply amazing. Before we let you all go back to your families, we want to let you know the marathons on TV you and your family might want to watch during the day and after Thanksgiving dinner. We have told you about many of the sitcom related marathons already. We were the first ones to tell you about them, too. WGN America has a Newhart marathon on Thanksgiving Day from 2pm-3am. TV Land has its annual Overstuffed Weekend with I Love Lucy and The Cosby Show on Thanksgiving Day and Night, with many other sitcoms from Friday-Sunday. TBS has a marathon of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 9am-3pm today, while tomorrow (Friday) Sci Fi offers up an all-day event of the classic Robin Williams sitcom Mork & Mindy from 8am-6am! BET has a holiday weekend filled with marathons of One on One, The Parkers and Steve Harvey Show starting on Friday. So yeah we told you about all these already many moons ago. But there are of course more! Other sitcom related marathons include The N's all Drake & Josh weekend starting at 3pm, you can eat bananas while watching G4's Arrested Development marathon starting at 9am, FX will give us a marathon of the late Bernie Mac on his sitcom Bernie Mac on Friday, and Disney Channel will have marathon blocks of their sitcoms all this weekend of The Suite Life, Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place. Non-sitcom wise, of course you will have CSI marathons all over the place. CSI: NY gets the full day treatment on Thanksgiving Day on Spike TV, A&E will have a CSI: Miami marathon on Friday, while Spike TV offers up a CSI vs. CSI: NY marathon. What no James Bond movie marathons on Spike this year? Not to fret, Sci Fi Channel will have some today, before they air Mork & Mindy on Friday. Other notable marathons on Thanksgiving Day include Goof Troop on Toon Disney, The Closer on TNT, House on USA Network and Rocky movies on Versus. Friday's notables include Beverly Hills 90210 on SOAPnet, The Starter Wife on USA Network, and Monty Python's Flying Circus on BBC America. And it seems like Fox Reality is airing Hell's Kitchen all weekend and the same goes true for Fox Movie Channel with Planet of the Apes movies. Sorry no Law & Order series, except for Criminal Intent on Sunday. And don't forget my pick of the night, tonight at 8pm on ABC the holiday classic A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I watched it Tuesday and will watch it again tonight. Can't get enough of old Chuck! BET Changes and Upcoming Sitcom Marathons; TBS Holiday Stunts

With the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays coming up, BET will celebrate with sitcom marathons! But first they made some minor schedule changes. The weekday sitcom block has been shifted to 2-5pm effective this week, with Steve Harvey Show moving to 2-3pm, One on One from 3-4pm and Smart Guy from 4-5pm. Girlfriends will remain in the 3am hour, while the Saturday morning block is now 11am-4p, with two episodes of Smart Guy and four episodes each of The Parkers and Girlfriends. Steve Harvey and One on One are on Sundays from 11:30am-2pm.
As for holiday sitcom marathon, the first one will be the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 28 (Black Friday) from 9am-3:30pm. As of now, it has not been determined what will air. Hopefully something NOT airing regularly on BET? We'll let you know if that is indeed the case! Anyway, Thanksgiving weekend continues with more sitcom marathons on Saturday, November 29 from 9am-3am with the hit sitcom The Parkers. Thanksgiving sitcom marathon concludes with a marathon of The Steve Harvey Show from 11am-5pm on Sunday, November 30.
As for Christmas, more sitcom marathons will air! On Christmas Day itself, Thursday, December 25, we will get a marathon of Smart Guy from 9am-8pm. Then on the day after Christmas (Friday, December 26), which is Kwanza, celebrate the holiday with another marathon of One on One from 9am-8pm. Finally, on Saturday, December 27, it's all-day and all-night event of everyone's favorite girlfriends...Girlfriends from 9am-4am!

TBS will get into the holiday fever as well with a sitcom marathon! On Thanksgiving Day itself (Thursday, November 27), TBS will present a marathon of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from 9am-3pm. What better way for you to 'will' your way on this day? For Christmas of course, TBS will present the annual 24-hour marathon of the holiday movie classic A Christmas Story starting Christmas Eve at 8pm and running through Christmas Day at 8pm. Get into the holiday spirit with this classic Christmas comedy featuring your favorite oddball kid Ralphie. From disgruntled Santas to badgering bullies, nothing will stop Ralphie from getting his dream toy on Christmas morning.
New episodes of the hit sitcom Tyler Perry's House of Payne will air Wednesdays at 10pm in December starting Dec. 3. The new episodes will air in the weekly Wednesday six-episode block starting at 8pm. And finally, the season finale of sketch comedy Frank TV, starring comedian Frank Caliendo, will air December 23 at 11pm ET/PT. He does a great Bill Walton, doesn't he?

One on One Joins BET Line-Up on Monday; Nick at Nite's Great Ratings Continues; Fox Picks-Up Fringe for Full Season

BET will be adding another sitcom! This time they will add the sitcom One on One to their weekday line-up beginning Monday (October 6). The show will air weekdays at 3:00pm & 3:30pm ET/PT, creating a sitcom block from 3-6pm on weekdays with Steve Harvey and Smart Guy still airing in the 4 and 5pm hours.
One on One will also get a weekend marathon on Saturday, October 11 from 2-5pm (following a Smart Guy marathon from 11am-2pm) and on Sunday, October 12 from 1-4pm. The show will regularly on Saturdays from 12-2pm and Sundays from 1-3pm. The new Saturday schedule is now 9-10am Just Jordan, 10-11am Romeo!, 11am-12pm Smart Guy, 12-2pm One on One, 2-3pm Steve Harvey, 3-4pm Girlfriends, and 4-5pm Judge Hatchett. The new Sunday schedule is now 12-1pm Steve Harvey, 1-3pm One on One, and 3-4pm Girlfriends.
One on One will also get a special block on Columbus Day (Monday, October 13) from 2-6pm.
About One on One: Intelligent and outspoken, the in-your-face 17-year-old Breanna Barnes (Kyla Pratt) loves attention. Anywhere there's a crowd, you can bet she's at the center of the action. Breanna's sportscaster dad, Flex (Flex Alexander), is a fun-loving ladies' man who not only wants to be a responsible parent, but also wants to be his daughter's best friend. Flex is happy giving Breanna the freedom to make her own choices, but only if she is willing to accept the consequences.

Nick at Nite, driven by hit family programming like George Lopez and newcomer Family Matters, scores its second consecutive quarter as total day's top cable network with Adults 18-49 (from 6/30/08-9/28/08). Nick at Nite soared in third quarter 2008 with high double-digit gains among its A18-49 and total viewer (P2+) audience, and has delivered 11 consecutive months of double-digit growth since last year.
Nick at Nite is ranked number one with A18-49, for third quarter 2008 (3Q08) in total day, averaging a 0.6 rating and 667,000 viewers 18-49 and up 20% over last year. With P2+, the network delivered 1.5 million total viewers, up 22%. Nick at Nite ranks as the number-one basic cable network for W18-49 in total day this quarter (0.7 rating and 416,000 18-49 women viewers, up 17% over last year).
In prime time, Nick at Nite averaged a 0.7 rating and 1.7 million total viewers (P2+), up 40% over last year. Family Matters, which joined the network's schedule in 3Q, is Nick at Nite's number-two program in total day, only behind George Lopez. Family Matters averaged a 0.7 rating and 775,000 viewers A18-49 at 11 p.m., up 40% over last year's time period. George Lopez is the network's highest-rated program and has experienced growth of 40% in rating since launching in September 2007. George Lopez averaged a 0.7 rating and 768,000 viewers A18-49 at 10 p.m. for the quarter, up 75% over last year's like time period. Home Improvement remains a growth engine for Nick at Nite, and averages a 0.6 rating and 654,000 viewers A18-49 in total day for 3Q08. Its ratings have grown 20% since launching on Nick at Nite in September 2007.

Fox has announced that Fringe is the second new show this fall to be picked-up for a full season, joining The CW's 90210. Both shows launched a few weeks before the season. Fringe has benefited from airing behind House, which is down big from last fall, but still strong. Fox has ordered an additional nine episodes for Fringe, bringing the series to a full season order of 22 episodes.
New episodes return Tuesday, October 14 because next week is the second Presidential Debate.
