On the heels of the NFL kickoff, season two of Capital One College Bowl, hosted by Peyton Manning, will debut the following night with back-to-back episodes from 8-10pm before settling into the 8pm hour for early fall. Dateline NBC will air on Fridays from 9-11pm with the season premiere on Sept. 16. The Sunday premiere of Sunday Night Football will be on Sept. 11. On Friday, Nov. 4, family comedies join the Friday 8-9pm lineup with the premiere of Lopez vs. Lopez, starring and executive produced by George Lopez, followed by the third season of Young Rock, starring and executive produced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
CBS announced Rebecca Romijn (Paramount+' Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) and Jerry O'Connell (CBS' The Talk) as co-hosts of The Real Love Boat. The husband-and-wife team will take the helm guiding viewers through the dating adventure series inspired by The Love Boat, the hit scripted series in the '70s that used Princess Cruises ships as its setting. The series sets sail Wednesday, Oct. 5 (9:00-10:00 PM, PT/ET), following Survivor (8:00 PM PT/ET) and leading into The Amazing Race (10:00 PM, PT), to create the Network's all-reality night.
The series brings singles together to sail the Mediterranean on a luxury cruise ship while looking for love. Destination dates, challenges and surprise singles will test the couples' compatibility and chemistry. Like the beloved original scripted series, the indispensable crew members, including captain and cruise director, will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romantic (and sometimes turbulent) waters ahead. After nearly one month at sea, one winning couple will dock in the final port and take home a cash prize plus a once-in-a-lifetime trip courtesy of Princess Cruises, the series' exclusive cruise line partner.

COZI TV, NBCUniversal Local's national multicast network that delivers TV's all-time best shows and pop culture favorites, launched a 3rd Rock from the Sun sweepstakes to give away a genuine 1962 AMC Rambler American 400, just like the iconic red convertible featured in the celebrated classic comedy series. Fans can enter the COZI TV 3rd Rock from the Sun Rambler Sweepstakes for a chance to win the fully restored, road-ready vintage car now through Aug. 31, 2022, at CoziTV3rdRockSweepstakes.com .
In the sitcom, the winner of eight Emmy Awards, a 1962 Rambler served as the landing spot for the space aliens when they came to Earth impersonating a family played by an all-star ensemble cast led by John Lithgow, Jane Curtin, Kristen Johnston, French Stewart and the young Joseph Gordon-Levitt. In addition to the first episode, the red convertible served as a regular set and was key to several episodes of the Carsey-Werner Television-produced comedy, which premiered on NBC in 1996 and included 139 episodes over six seasons. The car being given away in the COZI TV 3rd Rock from the Sun Rambler Sweepstakes was acquired by COZI TV in 2021, shortly after the show joined the network's regular line-up on July 19, 2021. COZI TV partnered with professional car restorers to repair systems, update mechanicals and customize features to be similar to the 3rd Rock Rambler. The original Rambler from the series is currently on display at the Wisconsin Auto Museum and owned by the Kenosha History Center in Wisconsin.
To celebrate the start of the COZI TV 3rd Rock from the Sun Rambler Sweepstakes, the network will present the special "3rd Rock 3rd of July" Marathon this Sunday, July 3. Heartwarming Comedy Series Trying Returns July 22; Retta Is Back with More on HGTV
Apple TV+ released the trailer for the third season of the heartwarming comedy series Trying, which is set to premiere globally Friday, July 22, 2022 on Apple TV+. The eight-episode third season of Trying will make its debut with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes weekly every Friday through September 2, 2022. After a dramatic end to season two, the third season picks up with Nikki (BAFTA nominee Esther Smith) and Jason (SAG Award nominee Rafe Spall) waking up as new parents to two children they are still getting to know. Now they just have to keep hold of them, which proves to be trickier than they initially thought. Thrown straight into the parental deep end, Nikki and Jason's relationships with each other and with their nearest and dearest are tested as they desperately try to navigate the ups and downs of parenting - while hanging onto their kids, and their sanity. In addition to Smith and Spall, the season three cast includes Eden Togwell (as Princess), Mickey McAnulty (as Tyler), Oliver Chris (as Freddy), Sian Brooke (as Karen), Darren Boyd (as Scott) and Robyn Cara (as Jen).
Summer is the time to vacation and relax in beautiful places, but Ugliest House in America: Ugly in Paradise, premiering Sunday, July 24, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV and also available to stream on discovery+, will prove things can get ugly, even in paradise. Hosted by Retta, a home design enthusiast, as well as a comedian and actress known for her roles in Parks and Recreation and Good Girls, the series attracted nearly 11 million viewers to its freshman run. During the new five-episode season, Retta will take a road trip to five stunning destinations to visit 15 unsightly homes nominated by their owners and share her hilarious reviews of the astonishingly bad designs, cringe-worthy layouts and severely outdated styles. Based on its ugly appearance, poor functionality and hideous design choices, one house will be crowned the "ugliest house in America" by HGTV, and the network will award its owners a showstopping $150,000 renovation completed by Alison Victoria, one of its top stars, during a special one-hour finale episode. In each episode, Retta will tour three homes where she will enthusiastically react to a plethora of bad design ranging from linoleum-covered walls and carpeted bathrooms to epic odors and pest infestation. Throughout the season, Retta will see the best of the worst in every region of the U.S. and help a lucky homeowner transform their hideous home into a showstopper.

HBO's The Rehearsal Premieres July 15; IFC Series Sherman's Showcase Returns in Fall
The HBO Original six-episode comedy series, The Rehearsal, from Nathan Fielder, debuts Friday, July 15 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. Nathan Fielder (Nathan For You, HBO's How To with John Wilson) returns to television for a new series that explores the lengths one man will go to reduce the uncertainties of everyday life. With a construction crew, a legion of actors, and seemingly unlimited resources, Fielder allows ordinary people to prepare for life's biggest moments by "rehearsing" them in carefully crafted simulations of his own design. When a single misstep could shatter your entire world, why leave life to chance?
IFC today released a first-look from the upcoming second season of Emmy(R)-winning variety series Sherman's Showcase, premiering on IFC this fall. In addition, in celebration of Juneteenth, IFC ran an 8-episode marathon on Sunday, June 19, including the one-hour special "Black History Month Spectacular" at 9:30am ET. The witty, irreverent and wholly original Sherman's Showcase features sketches, dancers, fake commercials, movie trailers, cultural nostalgia, the funkmonster, A-list guest stars and original songs (Drop it Low for Jesus, Marina Del Ray) that definitely climbed the fictional charts. Each episode of the series is hosted by Sherman McDaniels as he takes viewers through time, via music and comedy drawn from the 40-year library of a legendary (but fictional) musical variety show.
Sherman's Showcase, which first season is rated 100% Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, is created by Bashir Salahuddin (Top Gun: Maverick, South Side) and Diallo Riddle (Marlon, South Side), who also star and executive produce. Emmy(R)-, GRAMMY(R)-, Oscar(R)- and Tony(R)-winner John Legend, Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorious serve as executive producers through their Get Lifted Film Co. (La La Land, Underground, Jesus Christ Superstar). Pete Aronson serves as executive producer, and Frank Scherma and Jim Bouvet of RadicalMedia also executive produce. AMC Studios Content Distribution is managing worldwide sales of the show.

Character actor Philip Baker Hall, who played Lt. Joe Bookman on Seinfeld, has died. He died of emphysema at his home in Glendale, California, on June 12. Mr. Hall was 90.
Hall's early sitcom guest appearances included Good Times, M*A*S*H, It's a Living, Benson and Bagdad Cafe. He appeared as Dr. Harrison in the 1988 three-part Family Ties episode "Heartstrings," in which Steven Keaton has a heart attack and has to undergo heart surgery.
He played Lt. Joe Bookman, a detective pursuing a long-overdue library book, in the Seinfeld episode "The Library." It aired in the third season on October 16, 1991. Jerry learns he has a library fine from 1971, for the then-controversial book Tropic of Cancer, and that the "case" has been turned over to the library investigations officer, Lt. Bookman. Hall reprised the role in "The Finale," which aired on May 14, 1998.
Hall starred as Russ McDonald on the 2006-2007 Fox sitcom The Loop. The show starred Bret Harrison as Sam Sullivan, a young professional trying to balance the needs of his social life with the pressures of working at the corporate headquarters of TransAlliance Airways, a major U.S. airline. Russ McDonald is head executive of TransAlliance Airways and one of Sam's bosses. The series also starred Joy Osmanski, Amanda Loncar, Mimi Rogers, Sarah Mason (Sarah Wright) and Eric Christian Olsen.

He starred as William Vaughn on the 1997-1998 CBS legal drama Michael Hayes. He played George Reese Greeley on the short-lived 2001 Fox prime time soap opera Pasadena. Mr. Hall was a fantastic character actor. His guest appearance as Lt. Bookman on Seinfeld was one of the funniest and most memorable of the series. It led to many other jobs for him. Rob Lowe Netflix Sitcom Rounds Out Cast; New PLL Premieres July 28 on HBO Max
Netflix announces cast for Unstable, joining Rob Lowe and John Owen Lowe in new scripted comedy. Sian Clifford, Rachel Marsh, Emma Ferreira and Aaron Branch will join as series regulars in series created by the Lowes and Victor Fresco. Fred Armisen, Tom Allen and JT Parr join as recurring guest stars. Unstable follows an introverted son (John Owen Lowe) who goes to work for his very successful, wildly eccentric father (Rob Lowe) in order to save him and his successful biotech company from disaster. It is inspired by Rob and John Owen Lowe's social media relationship, in which John Owen often humorously trolls his dad.
· Sian Clifford (Fleabag, Life After Life, Quiz) will play Anna, the Chief Financial Officer of the company run by Ellis (Rob Lowe), who has been with him since its founding. Strong, smart, opinionated, and one hundred percent loyal to her boss, Anna is one of the only people in Ellis's life who can go toe-to-toe with him.
· Rachel Marsh (Head of the Class, Just Beyond, iCarly) will play Luna, a genius biotech engineer who works in the lab with her friend and research partner Ruby (see below). Shy and awkward, Luna is happy to let her more outgoing partner do the talking for the two of them.

· Tom Allen (Barry, Old Dads) and JT Parr (Hawaii Five-O, Real Bros Of Simi Valley) will play TJ (Allen) and Chaz (Parr), not very bright brothers who only have each other and are adversaries to Ellis. They got their board position because their rich father helped fund Ellis's company.
The Max Original series, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, will debut its ten-episode season on Thursday, July 28 with three episodes. Two new episodes will follow on August 4 and 11, with the final three episodes debuting August 18. Executive produced and written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and co-executive produced and written by Lindsay Calhoon Bring (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), this dark take on the teen melodrama introduces a new generation of Liars who are tormented by A -- a masked killer hellbent on punishing them for the sins of their mothers, as well as their own.
Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in present day, a disparate group of teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin committed by their parents two decades ago...as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars. Cast: Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco star as our new generation of Liars. The series also stars Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Lea Salonga, Eric Johnson, and Alex Aiono.
