Ripley's Believe It or Not! Returns; grown-ish Teams Up with Scholarship

Ripley's Believe It or Not! has cornered the market on the extraordinary, the death defying, the odd and the unusual. Now, 100 years after Robert L. Ripley launched the brand, the phrase Believe It or Not! is known globally and has come to symbolize how we marvel at the wonders of our world. Travel Channel is rebooting the iconic series, hosted by veteran actor Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Burn Notice), with 10 all-new, one-hour episodes that will showcase the most astonishing, real and one-of-a-kind stories. Currently in production, the series will be shot on location at the famed Ripley Warehouse in Orlando, Florida, and will incorporate incredible stories from all parts of the globe - from Brazil to Baltimore. The series is slated to premiere in summer 2019.
As part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Campbell rang in the new year in Times Square with the New Year's Eve Ball Drop along with millions of new friends. The series last aired on TBS for four seasons from 2000-2003 with 88 episodes and then aired in reruns in local broadcast syndication.
To celebrate the second season of grown-ish, which premiered last night (Jan. 2 at 8:00 p.m. EST), Freeform has teamed with the scholarship app Scholly to announce a student loan payoff of up to $125,000 for current students and graduates with an outstanding loan balance. Acknowledging that student loans have crippled a generation of young Americans and are keeping them from achieving their dreams, the program aims to help student loan borrowers pay off debts that may be holding them back from living their best lives. Thus far, Scholly has helped students win over $100 million dollars in scholarships and aided many in reducing their debt. First round submissions and additional information for this life-changing opportunity can be found through https://myscholly.com/grownish or via the Scholly app. Winners will be announced at the 2019 Freeform Summit (details to come).
After the wide-eyed firsts of their freshman year, season two of grown-ish follows Zoey and her friends as they enter their second year at CalU with confidence and swagger. Learning from the ups and downs of their first year, they all think they've got their second year on lock, but quickly realize that they're not as grown as they think. A contemporary take on the current issues facing students in the world of higher education, grown-ish is produced by ABC Signature Studios and executive produced by Kenya Barris, Julie Bean, Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry, Craig Doyle, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and E. Brian Dobbins.
Reprising their roles after a stellar freshman season are Yara Shahidi as popular but entitled Zoey Johnson, Trevor Jackson as socially conscious Aaron Jackson, Francia Raisa as outspoken conservative Latina Ana Torres, Emily Arlook as openly and actively bisexual Nomi Segal, Jordan Buhat as troublemaker Vivek Shah, Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey as twins and sporty-savants Jazz Forster and Sky Forster, Luka Sabbat as mellow and fashion-forward Luca Hall, and Deon Cole as eccentric and unpredictable Professor Charles Telphy.
