Netflix Orders 2nd Season of The Kominsky Method; CBS Spring 2019 Premieres

Season 1 was the first time these legends worked together... but it won't be the last! Michael Douglas & Alan Arkin return for The Kominsky Method Season 2, the acclaimed single-camera comedy from Chuck Lorre! Season 2 will consist of 8 episodes and production is slated to begin late January 2019 in Los Angeles. Douglas, Arkin, Sarah Baker and Nancy Travis return as series regulars. The Kominsky Method premiered globally Friday, November 16 on Netflix. The show secured 2 Golden Globe Award wins for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy for star Michael Douglas. Alan Arkin's performance was also Golden Globe nominated for Best Supporting Actor - Series, Miniseries or Television Film. Additionally, The Kominsky Method was selected as one of AFI's TV Programs of the Year 2018 and received 2 Critics' Choice Nominations. In the comedy, Douglas (Kominsky) and Arkin (Newlander) star as two friends tackling life's inevitable curveballs as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles, a city that values youth and beauty.
CBS announced spring 2019 scheduling plans for the new eight-episode event series The Red Line, which will air in two-hour installments on four Sundays, and the new drama The Code. From acclaimed producers Greg Berlanti and Ava DuVernay, and starring Noah Wyle, the event series The Red Line will debut Sunday, April 28 from 8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT, after God Friended Me wraps its first season. The eight episodes will be broadcast across four consecutive Sundays from 8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT. The Red Line follows three very different Chicago families as they journey toward hope and healing after a tragedy connects them all.
The Code will have a special premiere on Tuesday, April 9 at 9:00PM, ET/PT (the night after the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship) before it moves into its regular Monday time period on April 15 at 9:00PM, ET/PT), after Magnum P.I. completes its season order.The Code is a drama about the military's brightest minds who take on our country's toughest legal challenges, inside the courtroom and out, in the only law office in the world where every attorney is trained as a prosecutor, a defense lawyer, an investigator - and a Marine. In addition, Ransom returns for its third season on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 8:00PM, ET/PT. Ransom follows crisis and hostage negotiator Eric Beaumont and his team as they save lives when no one else can. The season premieres of Elementary and Instinct will be announced at a later date.
