The digital album, in partnership with Lakeshore Records, will be available across all retailers starting today. Inspired by the die-hard fans' love for the music throughout the series, The Younger TV Land Series Soundtrack captures beloved moments throughout the show's six seasons through music, including two exclusive never-before-released songs: "9 to 5 cast recording" and "Save Us" by Anna Dellaria and Chris Alan Lee. After a setback at work, Kelsey (Hilary Duff) doubts her career decisions and discovers a new creative outlet. Maggie (Debi Mazar) gets cancelled.

Seinfeld

WaterTower Music is excited to announce the release of the Seinfeld Soundtrack featuring music by the show's composer Jonathan Wolff. The music was carefully selected by Wolff with the fans in mind, and has never been available for public consumption until now. Fans of the show will recognize the tracks which are named after some of the popular scenes and episodes that they were featured in including “Cable Guy vs. Kramer,” “Jerry Vs. Newman Chase.” etc. “Often, soundtrack albums include brilliant masterpieces of musical artistry and compelling, momentous film score suites,” says Wolff. “Yeah, there’ll be none of that. This music was created to peg the funny meters. Each track evokes a favorite scene. My opus magnum is a ‘Big Daddy Pimpwalk.’ Seinfeld fans only, please.”

Wolff created the music for 75 primetime network series including Will & Grace, Married with Children, Reba, Who's the Boss?, Saved by the Bell: The College Years, but is best known for his iconic Seinfeld music. This is his first soundtrack album. “It was 30 years in the making,” Wolff told Variety, and “is the only one I’ve ever wanted to make." Now retired, he thrills concert and lecture audiences with wonderful insider stories and Q/A's about his remarkable Hollywood career including Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David.

Additionally, Viacom renewed its cable deal for equally iconic sitcom Parks and Recreation. All 125 episodes will be able to air on Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, through 2024. The Office starred Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, B.J. Novak, Melora Hardin, Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper, Kate Flannery, Angela Martin, Phyllis Smith, Leslie David Baker, Oscar Nunez, Brian Baumgartner, Creed Bratton, Paul Lieberstein, Rashida Jones, Amy Ryan and others.

It presents a documentary-style look into the everyday lives and antics of public officials, who work in the local Parks and Recreation office and pursue various projects to make their fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana, a better place. To simulate the look of an actual documentary, it was filmed in a single-camera setup without a studio audience or a laugh track. The series starred Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Retta, Jim O'Heir, Paul Schneider, Billy Eichner, amongst others.

Jason Kennedy

E! announced that E! The first special airs on Wednesday, December 4 at 8pm ET/PT and features Kennedy in a rare sit down with four-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady. In this all-new interview, the New England Patriots quarterback opens up about his family and wife, environmentalist and supermodel, Gisele Bündchen, how his on-field success has brought on a different level of scrutiny, and why he'd rather not be called the "G.O.A.T. Seinfeld Moving from TBS to Viacom Networks in 2021; Tell Me a Story Returns Dec. 5 with New Cast

Seinfeld

Viacom announced the acquisition of Seinfeld from Sony Pictures Television, in a deal that features the exclusive cable rights for all 180 episodes of the iconic series. Beginning in October 2021, the full library of Seinfeld episodes will air amongst Viacom's entertainment brands, including Comedy Central, Paramount Network and TV Land. Additionally, catch-up episodes will be available through Viacom brands via authenticated video on demand, websites and apps. The deal was closed for an undisclosed sum and a loaf of marble rye after a spirited Festivus feats of strength competition. The move to Viacom networks means TBS will be losing the rights to the series by Fall 2021. TBS has aired the sitcom since 2002, in what was an original 4 year deal for $1 million an episode. TBS has renewed the comedy multiple times after that first deal.

An Emmy and Golden Globe-winner for Best Comedy Series, Seinfeld is one of the most popular, most award-winning and longest-running comedy series of all time. Jerry Seinfeld stars as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

Tell Me a Story

And they all lived happily ever after... or did they? CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, announced that season two of its psychological thriller Tell Me a Story will premiere on Thursday, Dec. 5. Created by Kevin Williamson, Tell Me a Story takes the world's most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Exploring an entirely new set of fairy tales and characters, the 10-episode second season will feature the stories of three legendary princesses - "Beauty and the Beast," "Sleeping Beauty" and "Cinderella" - like you've never seen them before. We'll meet the Pruitt family as they navigate love, loss, romance and terror against the iconic backdrop of Music City - Nashville, Tenn.

Filmed on location in Nashville, season two stars Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries) as Tucker Reed, Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Jessica Jones") as Rebecca Pruitt, Odette Annable (House, Supergirl) as Maddie Pruitt, Eka Darville (Jessica Jones) as Beau Morris, Matt Lauria (Kingdom, Friday Night Lights) as Jackson Pruitt, Natalie Alyn Lind (The Gifted, The Goldbergs) as Ashley Rose Pruitt, and Ashley Madekwe (Salem, Revenge) as Simone Garland. In addition, Danielle Campbell (The Originals) returns to Tell Me a Story this season in a recurring role, as Olivia Moon. Garcelle Beauvais (Spider-Man Homecoming) as Veronica Garland, Caleb Castille (Wu Tang: An American Saga) as Ron, and Christopher Meyer (The Affair) as Derek round out the cast with recurring roles.

SitcomsOnline Digest: NBC Renews Trial & Error; Three Cast Members Exit Saturday Night Live

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! The news has died down a bit this week, but we do have one post-upfront renewal for a comedy on NBC, we're hearing about some departures from Saturday Night Live, and we're still trying to figure out what ABC was thinking with that Dirty Dancing revival. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
  • It took a little while to happen, but NBC ultimately decided to renew Trial & Error for a second season. (Entertainment Weekly)
  • Viacom's cable networks (which have had significant woes in recent years with declining ratings and being moved to cable packages that few people subscribe to) are going through a realignment, and Deadline has a guide to where you can find some of the original programming that has been or will be moved. (Deadline)
  • When Saturday Night Live returns in the fall, it will be without three cast members who've been a significant part of the show for several years. (Daily Mail)
  • ABC hyped their remake of Dirty Dancing one of their highlights for the season, and it did bring in viewers, but it was not very well received by viewers at all. (Vox)

  • Jared Martin, best known for his role of Dusty Farlow on Dallas, died this week at age 75. (Hollywood Reporter)
  • The timing seems a little odd, given that the trial for the star of the series is set to begin soon and jury selection happened this week, but The Cosby Show has returned to cable on TV One (after first returning to the broadcast digital network Bounce TV a few months ago) for the first time in years this week. (SitcomsOnline)

Claim to Fame: Lauren Adams is not exactly a household name, and you won't find her name in the credits of any broadcast or cable network TV series. But she has found her first claim to fame on the Netflix comedy, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, as well as the Hulu comedy Deadbeat. In Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, she plays Kimmy's fellow former cult member, Gretchen, who often finds herself missing the cult lifestyle and wanting to relive it however she can, something that ultimately leads to an unexpected crossover that we won't spoil here in the third season of the series (now streaming on Netflix). We don't know what's next for her character, but of all of the cult members, her story is interesting enough to have her own spinoff based upon the events in the most recent season of the series. While these may be her first roles, we certainly anticipate that they won't be her last, and we'll be seeing her in more comedy series and movies over the years.
