English Teacher Returns on FX for Season 2; Jesse Williams Prime Video Series Trailer

FX has announced that season 2 of English Teacher will premiere its first three episodes back-to-back on September 25. They will stream the next day on Hulu.

Brian Jordan Alvarez created and stars as Evan Marquez in the series about an English teacher navigating high school and political dynamics in Austin, Texas. Also returning for season 2 are Stephanie Koenig as Gwen, Sean Patton as Markie, Carmen Christopher as guidance counselor Rick and Enrico Colantoni as principal Grant Moretti.

This season, Evan refuses to stay quiet when controversy arises at Morrison-Hensley High. The gang finds themselves in the crosshairs of issues including climate change, Covid, military recruitment and student phone usage. Evan is also still struggling to keep his relationship with Malcom, played by Jordan Firstman, separate from his work life. Although Malcolm no longer works at Morrison-Hensley, Evan’s excessive righteousness at school takes an increasing toll on his romantic life.

Prime Video unveiled the official trailer and key art for Hotel Costiera, the new Original series starring Jesse Williams, which will debut with all six episodes on September 24 exclusively on Prime Video in the United States, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, Norway, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Filmed in Italy, Hotel Costiera is a clever action-drama directed by Emmy Award winner Adam Bernstein and by Giacomo Martelli. The series is based on an idea by Luca Bernabei, written by Elena Bucaccio, Matthew Parkhill and Francesco Arlanch and co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Luca Bernabei for Lux Vide, a Fremantle company.

Set in Italy in the stunning Amalfi Coast, the transportive series boasts an exceptional Italian and international cast. Alongside lead actor Jesse Williams, the rich ensemble cast also includes Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade.

First Ever SNL Episode This Saturday on NBC; FX Renews English Teacher for Season 2

NBC is celebrating the legacy of Saturday Night Live on February 15 with the first-ever SNL telecast airing at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT as well as an encore of the critically acclaimed documentary Ladies & Gentlemen ... 50 Years of SNL Music to start the night at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Originally titled NBC's Saturday Night and airing October 11, 1975 with host George Carlin and musical guests Billy Preston and Janis Ian, the premiere telecast gave audiences its first look at the cast known as the Not Ready for Prime Time Players - Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman and Gilda Radner. Also appearing on the show that night was comedian Andy Kaufman and a sketch from Muppets creator Jim Henson.

FX's English Teacher, the critically acclaimed comedy series created by Brian Jordan Alvarez, has been renewed for a second season. The 10-episode second season will premiere in 2025. English Teacher is a comedy series created by Brian Jordan Alvarez, in which he stars as "Evan Marquez," a high school teacher in Austin, Texas who often finds himself at the intersection of the personal, professional and political aspects of working at a high school. FX announced the premiere dates for upcoming new and returning series, including the new comedy series English Teacher, the first installment of the American Sports Story franchise, the highly-anticipated return of The Old Man, the groundbreaking new docuseries Social Studies, and the latest documentary film from The New York Times Presents. FX's The New York Times Presents: "Lie To Fly" - Latest documentary film premieres Friday, August 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX. FX's English Teacher - New comedy series premieres Monday, September 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX with the first two episodes of the eight-episode season. All episodes will stream next day on Hulu.
