NBC Orders Pilots, Including The Rockford Files; The CW to Premiere Celebrity Series

NBC is looking to revive The Rockford Files from Mike Daniels. They have given a pilot order for a contemporary update on the classic series of the same name. Newly paroled after doing time for a crime he didn't commit, James Rockford returns to his life as a private investigator using his charm and wit to solve cases around Los Angeles. It doesn't take long for his quest for legitimacy to land him squarely in the crosshairs of both local police and organized crime.

And they have also ordered a pilot for Protection from Josh Safran, Jenna Bush Hager and Ben Spector. When a U.S. Marshal falls in the line of duty, a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy as a family of law enforcement agents become the target of a mysterious assassin. Bridging personal differences and crossing professional boundaries, the Thornhill family must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice ... even if it means betraying their sworn code.

The Great American Road Rally: Celebrity Edition

As the nation approaches a historic convergence of milestones in 2026, The CW announced The Great American Road Rally: Celebrity Edition, a new prime-time event series celebrating American culture, community, and connection. Premiering Wednesday, May 13 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT), the series will air weekly on The CW Network, culminating in a live two-hour finale on Wednesday, July 22 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). The series features ten celebrity-driven vehicles, each aligned with a charitable cause, embarking on a cross-country journey to raise awareness, drive fundraising, and activate local communities - transforming competition into contribution and the open road into a force for good.
