SitcomsOnline Digest: Fall Broadcast Network Lineups Out; The CW Looking to Get Back Into Sitcom Business

   Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! It's been a busy week with the upfront and new fall schedules (unless you're Fox), and we've got some of the highlights here. Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

  • Fall primetime lineups are in! Unless you're Fox, that is. (Deadline)
  • The CW is about to fall under new ownership, with both the C (CBS) and the W (Warner Bros) leaving the partnership, and they're hoping to get back into the sitcom business with this change. (Deadline)
  • Tooning Out the News is moving from streaming media to cable, as it comes to Comedy Central (though it will still air on Paramount+). (Deadline)
  • A Rick and Morty anime spinoff? It looks like it is happening. (Hollywood Reporter)
  • We've said before that Saturday Night Live might be having some cast changes for next season, and now we're getting details and it looks like the show may be changing significantly for next season. (Deadline)
  • Pete Davidson already has his next role lined up, and Edie Falco will be playing his mother. (People)
  • Even though Fox did not announce a fall lineup, we have their renewals. (SitcomsOnline)

When a promising opportunity to save Woodstone is threatened by a personal conflict, Sam and Jay are forced into a difficult choice. Meanwhile, election day arrives as Flower and Isaac go head‑to‑head to become Ghost Representative. Justin Kirk gest sars as Tad, the Mayor.

Animal Control - "Golden Moose and Wiener Dogs" (Fox, 9:02PM ET/PT)
The team arrives at the Animal Control Officer of the Year awards and party ahead of the ceremony; it's Frank vs. Templeton for the big prize; Shred and Emily's secret romance is finally exposed.

Going Dutch - "NATOcean's Eleven" (Fox, 9:32PM ET/PT)
Gen. Martin launches a takeover of the base and plans to fire its entire staff; Maj. Shah grapples with a midlife crisis.
