Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! Now that all of the upfront presentations are done for the networks and seasons have wrapped up for almost every series, we're back into a slower news pattern, but we have a few highlights for you this week. Let's get going!

  • We have our first look at the cast of the upcoming Night Court reboot. (Screen Rant)
  • Quinta Brunson has made it clear that Abbott Elementary will not be doing an episode involving a school shooting, and is confused as to why fans think that would be an appropriate episode to do for the show. (NBC News)
  • Michael Che was the first name that we heard when it comes to cast members leaving Saturday Night Live, but now it's not so clear, as it seems he may actually be staying after all. (Deadline)
  • Ellen DeGeneres, perhaps the closest thing that existed in daytime TV to Oprah in recent years, ended her talk show this week, with a plea for compassion. (AP News)

Colette and Gregg convince Vic to foster a dog and help him clean up his act to meet the dog rescuer Howie’s (Thomas Lennon) high standards. Meanwhile, Ceci tries to repay Barb by boosting Noa’s processing time, mainly by toning down his hotness.

St. Denis Medical - "Here a Righteous Woman Comes" (NBC, 8:00PM ET/PT)
Joyce hosts a ribbon-cutting for the birthing center; Matt and Serena take on an awkward assignment; Ron tries to knock out a quick physical before his fishing trip.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins - "The World Is Full of Beaks" (NBC, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Tobin tries to keep his personal life separate from the documentary, but Reggie doesn't make it easy for him; Monica helps Brina with her music career.
