SitcomsOnline Digest: Looking at Fall Renewals and Cancellations; Married... with Children Animated Reboot in the Works
Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! It's been an incredibly busy week of renewals and cancellations, not all of which we can fit into here, and we've even got news of an animated version of a classic 80s/90s hit sitcom. Let's get going!
HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
- We're starting to get answers on renewals and cancellations for almost every series for the fall season, and there aren't any real surprises so far. (TVLine)
- It looks like the Bundys may be coming back in an animated version of Married... with Children, but it is unclear who will air it if it does indeed happen. (Deadline)
- South Park, which has itself been involved in a streaming war between Paramount+ and HBO Max, has a new special coming up (on Paramount+) appropriately titled "Streaming Wars." (Hollywood Reporter)
- Saturday Night Live has been fairly stable for quite some time now as far as the cast is concerned, but changes could be lurking as the current season comes to a close. (Deadline)
- One reason that streaming media took over and started the death spiral for cable TV was that it didn't include ads. That's about to change. (Vox)
- The Summer of Me is coming to MeTV, and The A-Team is part of it. (SitcomsOnline)

The Payne family sends Ella on a rampage. Malik must learn a valuable lesson.
Tyler Perry's Assisted Living - "The Power of Prayer" (BET, 8:30PM ET/PT)
The facility embarks on a manhunt for Judge Reginald, who is nowhere to be found; Sandra, Phillip, Vinny, Mr. Brown and Cora post flyers around the neighborhood and online.
