Conan Returns March 30 via iPhone Video; Showtime Alters Schedule for Black Monday

The Coronavirus continues to alter television. Beginning on Monday, March 30, Conan will begin airing new episodes on TBS that will have been shot remotely on an iPhone, without an audience and with guest interviews being filmed via video chat. O'Brien's production staff will remain working from home. Conan has been on a pre scheduled hiatus since March 16 but due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, O'Brien has been filming short videos all throughout this week aiming to bring laughter to people in self isolation. He's also recorded a special "Quarantine Edition" of his popular podcast Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend that was released on March 13. Conan airs Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS. The show is produced by Conaco LLC, with Jeff Ross serving as Executive Producer.

Black Monday

Showtime comedy Black Monday will shift from two episodes to premiering one episode per week beginning this Sunday, March 22, continuing through Sunday, April 12. Elsewhere on Showtime, the premieres of the new docuseries Outcry (originally scheduled for Friday, April 3) and Love Fraud (originally scheduled for Friday, May 8) will each move to a future date in 2020, to be announced in the upcoming weeks. The premieres of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels and the fifth season of Billions remain on their previously announced dates, on Sunday, April 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and Sunday, May 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT respectively.
