SitcomsOnline Digest: Hub Network to Rebrand; Mork & Mindy to be Completed on DVD?
- For those who enjoy Hub Network, your days of enjoying it are numbered, as the network will be re-branded as Discovery Family Channel in just a few short weeks. We'll have more details of the implications as we learn more, but the primetime lineup is set to be revamped in a way that won't appeal to sitcom fans. (Hollywood Reporter)
- Zachary Levi could be returning to the NBC with a new musical half-hour comedy produced by Eva Longoria. (Zap2It)
- Meanwhile, it seems that Eva Longoria is also busy with two other projects that could become series. (The Wrap)
- We don't often talk about reality show renewals, but CBS has renewed summer series Big Brother (the reality show that those who don't watch it tend to forget about, even though it has aired every summer since 2000) for two more seasons. (CBS)
- Despite some news reports early in the week, Kenan Thompson isn't planning to leave Saturday Night Live at the end of this season (which begins tonight with host Chris Pratt), although it is possible that he may leave. (NBC/Today)
- If you're not interested in Kenan Thompson's Saturday Night Live episodes, then NBC has a treat for you as it goes through 40 years of "vintage" SNL beginning tonight at 10. (SitcomsOnline)
