Netflix's A Man on the Inside Bulks Up Cast for Season 2; The Studio Renewed by Apple TV+

Netflix announced new cast additions for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed comedy series, A Man on the Inside. Created by Mike Schur, Season 2 of A Man on the Inside will see Charles (Ted Danson) going undercover at a college. The new cast includes:

Constance Marie (With Love, George Lopez) "Vanessa" - a former con-artist, serves as a part-time-source on the criminal underworld for Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada).

David Strathairn (The Bourne Legacy, Alphas) as "Dr. Cole" - Head of the English Department at Wheeler College, and the most famous and popular professor on campus.

Gary Cole (NCIS, Veep) as "Brad Vinick" - a successful businessman whose sizable donation to his alma mater starts a chain reaction that leads to Charles getting hired.

Jason Mantzoukas (Taskmaster, Big Mouth) as "Apollo Lambrakis" - an affable contractor who dreams of writing the Great American Novel.

Jill Talley (Mr. Show, Spongebob Squarepants) as "Holly Bodgemark" - is the overworked, perpetually-frazzled Provost of Wheeler College.

Linda Park (Bosch, For All Mankind) as "Elizabeth Muki" - the director of the Fine Arts Department at Wheeler College.

Lisa Gilroy (Interior Chinatown, Jury Duty) as "Kelseigh Rose" - a budding photographer, is the new wife of billionaire Brad Vinick.

Madison Hu (The Brothers Sun and Boogeyman) as "Claire" - Wheeler College Junior who works multiple campus jobs to pay for her tuition.

Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood, Unfrosted) as "Jack Beringer" - the charismatic President of Wheeler College, whose job requires him to raise money from wealthy graduates.

Michaela Conlin (Bones, For All Mankind) as "Andrea Yi" - teaches economics at Wheeler College, and is excited about the changes coming to the school.

Sam Huntington (Superman Returns, Being Human) as "Max Griffin" - a rabble-rousing professor of journalism at Wheeler College.

The cast join previously announced Academy Award and Golden Globe winner, Mary Steenburgen. Season 1 had Charles (Ted Danson), a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a PI and becomes a mole in a secret investigation. From creator Mike Schur, A Man on the Inside is based on the documentary The Mole Agent, a 2021 Oscar(R) nominee for Best Documentary feature.

Matt Remick scores a win for Continental Studios! Following the widely celebrated premiere of The Studio, Apple TV+ announced that the critically acclaimed, star-studded hit series has landed a renewal for season two. Since its global debut, The Studio has struck a chord with cinephiles, fans and critics alike, and has been declared the "best new comedy of 2025," as well as "one of Hollywood's sharpest self-portraits in ages." Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios. As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films. With their power suits masking their never-ending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes movies, it's the job Matt's been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him.

The Studio assembles a star-studded ensemble cast led by Rogen, Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe Award winner Catherine O'Hara, Emmy Award nominee Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders, with Emmy Award winning guest star Bryan Cranston. The series also features a lineup of cameos from some of Hollywood's most iconic actors, directors and producers throughout the season. The eighth episode of The Studio premieres this week on Apple TV+. In this week's new episode, "The Golden Globes," Matt tries to get Zoë Kravitz to thank him in her award acceptance speech.

Netflix's Long Story Short Announces Cast; NBC Renews All Chicago Series for 2025-26

Netflix has announced the cast of adult animated comedy series Long Story Short from Raphael Bob-Waksberg, creator of BoJack Horseman, coming August 22. Starring the voices of Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Angelique Cabral, Nicole Byer, as well as recurring guests Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz. Long Story Short is an animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman about one family, over time. Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.

NBC's hugely popular Wednesday night #OneChicago franchise has been renewed for the 2025-26 season. Of course #OneChicago consists of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., all on Wednesday nights. All three Chicago dramas have seen increased viewing on Peacock vs. last season. In its 10th season, Chicago Med airs at 8 p.m. Wednesdays and is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Allen MacDonald, Stephen Hootstein and Peter Jankowski. In its 13th season, Chicago Fire airs at 9 p.m. Wednesdays and is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Andrea Newman, Reza Tabrizi, Matt Whitney and Peter Jankowski. In its 12th season, Chicago P.D. airs at 10 p.m. Wednesdays and is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Gwen Sigan, Chad Saxton, Gavin Harris, Jason Beghe, and Peter Jankowski.

USA and SYFY Announce Summer Premieres; CBC in Canada Renews 5 Series, Including Wild Cards

The fourth season of fan-favorite Resident Alien premieres Friday, June 6 at 11 p.m. on USA and SYFY. Resident Alien follows a crash-landed alien named Harry and his life on planet Earth. The series stars Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Alice Wetterlund, Corey Reynolds, Elizabeth Bowen, Levi Fiehler, Meredith Garretson, and Judah Prehn.

The series premiere of the comic adaptation Revival debuts Thursday, June 12 at 10 p.m. on SYFY. In Revival, on one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. The series stars Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen.

CBC announced the renewal of popular original homegrown dramas including CBC's most-watched new series Saint-Pierre for a second season, as well as Canadian Screen Award-nominated series Allegiance for a third season and enduring hits Heartland and Murdoch Mysteries for their 19th seasons. CBC original blue sky procedural Wild Cards has also been renewed for seasons three and four.

In the past year, all five dramas were among the Top 20 Canadian programs on television, and within the Top 10 series on CBC Gem. Additional CBC renewals across all genres and content areas will be announced later this spring. In the U.S. Wild Cards airs on The CW, and is likely to get picked up as well, as the series was one of the featured shows at their advertisers dinner in NYC this past week.

ABC Summer 2025 Schedule; Audible Scripted Comedy Podcasts for Summer

ABC announced its summer premiere dates, which includes the highly anticipated return of Bachelor in Paradise, alongside a slate of high-stakes, fan-favorite game shows including a new iteration of Match Game hosted by Martin Short. Kicking off the summer, the 10th season of Bachelor in Paradise begins Monday, July 7, featuring cast members from across the franchise including Goldens joining the beach for the first time. Celebrity Family Feud has been renewed for season 11 and premieres Thursday, July 10, with host Steve Havey, followed by new episodes of Press Your Luck, featuring Elizabeth Banks.

Jimmy Kimmel hosts a new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, beginning Wednesday, July 23, followed by the revival of Match Game hosted now by comedy legend Martin Short. As previously announced, The 2025 ESPYS Presented by Capital One returns to ABC live Wednesday, July 16, and will feature some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment. A host will be announced at a later date.

Audible Inc., the leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling, and Broadway Video Enterprises, the global entertainment and media company, announced an exciting lineup of three original scripted comedy podcasts set to premiere in 2025: Murder at the Patel Motel, The Good Life, and Headcase. These innovative Audible Originals showcase a roster of acclaimed talent and diverse comedic styles, from murder mystery to fish-out-of-water comedy to satirical hip-hop with original music.

Premiering on June 5, Murder at the Patel Motel is a comic Agatha Christie-style mystery written by and starring Maulik Pancholy (30 Rock), alongside co-writers Zackary Grady and Achilles Stamatelaky. The all-star production features an ensemble cast including Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus), Karan Soni (Deadpool, A Nice Indian Boy), Poorna Jagannathan (Deli Boys, Never Have I Ever), Iqbal Theba (Glee), Anna Camp (You, Pitch Perfect), Adam Pally (Happy Endings, The Mindy Project), Margo Martindale (The Americans), Conrad Ricamora (HTGAWM, Oh, Mary!), and Richard Kind (Spin City, Only Murders in the Building). When Milan Patel (Pancholy), a high-end event planner from New York City, visits his parents' dingy, family-run motel in small-town Montana, he expects typical family drama. Instead, he's thrust into a murder investigation when his father mysteriously drowns in the motel pool. Everyone's a suspect, and Milan's short trip becomes a nightmare as he's forced to reconnect with his past to solve his father's murder. This comedic whodunnit explores a complicated Indian-American family, the journey of a gay son who vowed never to return home, and a town determined to keep its secrets buried. It is Executive Produced by Britta von Schoeler and Maulik Pancholy, and Produced by Mark Valdez.

The Good Life, debuting on July 3, stars Ty Burrell (Modern Family), Jennifer Garner (Alias, 13 Going on 30), and Colton Dunn (Superstore) as the Finch family, with Jillian Bell (Brittany Runs a Marathon), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), and Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), rounding out the stellar lineup and appearances by Ego Nwodim (Saturday Night Live), Paula Pell (Girls5Eva) and Amber Ruffin (Late Night with Seth Meyers). Created by Burrell and written/created by Jeremy Hall, the series follows Maddie and Craig Finch (Garner and Dunn), who move their family from a high-pressure LA life to a quieter existence in small-town Oregon to run the general store. But what they find when they get there isn't what they expected—starting with the fact that the locals aren't too thrilled to welcome them. Running the town's only store – which doubles as a gas station, library, cafe, and more – proves more challenging than expected. Inspired by Burrell’s real-life childhood and Executive Produced by Britta von Schoeler and Ty Burrell, this feel-good sitcom is directed by Katie Rich and Produced by Mark Valdez. The series follows the Finches as they navigate small-town life, discovering that their unexpected adventure might be just what they need.

Set to premiere on August 7, Headcase is created by Chris Redd (Saturday Night Live, Power Book III: Raising Kanan) and Will Stephen (Saturday Night Live), written alongside Achilles Stamatelaky. This satirical dive into the hip-hop industry follows rising star Ghost (Redd) as he navigates the chaotic world of fame. When Ghost suffers a public breakdown on the verge of his solo debut, he is forced to confront his neuroses with a dorky therapist, Gordon (Stephen). As he struggles to save his career, Ghost must juggle a cast of challenging personalities, including his vengeful ex-rap partner and newly released convict, Mack Stacks, played by Joey Bada$$ (Power Book III: Raising Kanan), his grifter father played by Roy Wood Jr. (Have I Got News For You), and his relentless manager played by Bresha Webb (Hacks) — all while trying to save his career before he loses everything. The Carol Burnett Show Mother of All Marathons; Netflix Renews North of North

Shout! TV presents The Carol Burnett Show Mother of All Marathons, a special presentation of the beloved series streaming exclusively on Shout! Netflix announced that the critically acclaimed, heartfelt Arctic comedy, North of North, has been renewed for a second season. North of North was Netflix's first series commissioned from Canada and is a co-production with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), in partnership with APTN.

A young Inuk woman wants to build a new future for herself after a spontaneous - and extremely public - exit from her marriage. But it won't be easy in a small Arctic town where everybody knows your business. Lifetime Adds New Ripped from the Headlines Movie; BET+ Orders Season 2 of Series

Lifetime adds to its successful Girl In franchise with the new Ripped from the Headlines movie Girl in the Attic, starring Jean Louisa Kelly (Yes, Dear, Top Gun: Maverick), Sophia Carriere (Girls Like Girls, Fame: A Temptations Story), and Keenan Tracey (Bates Motel, Polaroid). Inspired by real stories, the gripping drama sheds light on the perils of online exposure and the strength it takes to overcome the darkest of circumstances. Girl in the Attic follows Kelsey (Sophia Carriere), a determined young woman grieving the loss of her mother. To honor her mother's memory Kelsey decides to run a marathon and shares her journey online to raise money. However, her public posts catch the attention of Billy (Keenan Tracey), a seemingly unassuming grocery store worker who has put his own dreams on hold to care for his mother Debbie (Jean Louisa Kelly), a former dancer now confined to a wheelchair after a spinal cord injury. Billy quickly becomes obsessed with Kelsey and devises a sinister plan to abduct her after she posts where she'll be on her next run. Intent on making Kelsey his wife, Billy hides her away in the attic of the home he shares with Debbie. Bound and isolated, Kelsey is forced to endure years of torment as Billy controls her every move and exploits her through online videos for financial gain. In a shocking turn of events, Debbie discovers Kelsey's imprisonment and now the two women must band together before it's too late...

BET+ and BET Studios announced the season two greenlight of Diarra from Detroit, the critically acclaimed dramedy from creator, executive producer, writer, and star Diarra Kilpatrick. Bryan Terrell Clark, DomiNque Perry, and Jon Chaffin are confirmed to return as series regulars in the upcoming season, continuing their dynamic roles alongside Kilpatrick. Season one followed a divorcing schoolteacher who refuses to believe she's been ghosted by her rebound Tinder date. Her determined search leads her into a decades-old mystery rooted in the Detroit underworld. As the case deepens, she enlists the help of her coworkers, friends, and lovers - forming an unlikely crew navigating danger and secrets. Production for the new season and a premiere will be announced at a later date.

Fox Summer 2025 Schedule; Final Guest Hosts for Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Season

Fox is announcing premiere dates and return dates for the summer 2025 slate of original programming, including the series premieres of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service (May 21) and The Snake (June 10), as well as new seasons of LEGO Masters (May 19), MasterChef (May 21), The Quiz with Balls (June 2) and The 1% Club (June 10), and all-new episodes of "Animation Domination" favorites Bob's Burgers, Grimsburg, Family Guy and The Great North (May 29). Additional summer programming to be announced.

The Fox summer schedule officially gets its brick on beginning Monday, May 19 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) with the Season Five premiere of hit competition series LEGO Masters, hosted by actor and producer Will Arnett. New episodes of America's Most Wanted follow at 9 thru May 26. Fox's summer really starts cooking beginning Wednesday, May 21 with the landmark 15th season premiere of MasterChef: Dynamic Duos (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the series premiere of Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Beginning on a new night, Thursday, May 29, Fox's iconic "Animation Domination" continues this summer with all-new episodes of fan-favorite series Bob's Burgers (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), Grimsburg (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Family Guy (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and The Great North (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Beginning Monday, June 2, following an all-new episode of LEGO Masters, the big balls are back! Hosted by actor and comedian Jay Pharoah, The Quiz with Balls (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) pits brains against balls, while combining a high-stakes quiz show with a large-scale physical competition. Then, beginning Tuesday, June 10 The 1% Club (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) premieres with new host Joel McHale (Animal Control, Crime Scene Kitchen), followed by the series premiere of all-new competition series The Snake (9:00-10:00PM ET/PT), hosted by comedian Jim Jeffries.

Season finale dates for the following in-season programs are as follows: The Masked Singer (two-hour season finale 5/7); America's Most Wanted: Missing Persons (5/12); Next Level Chef (5/15); The Simpsons (5/18); Krapopolis (5/18); Farmer Wants A Wife (two-hour season finale 5/22); America's Most Wanted (5/26); Alert: Missing Persons Unit (5/27); The Cleaning Lady (two-hour season finale 6/3).

Quinta Brunson will host NBC's Saturday Night Live for the second time on May 3. The Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner is the star and creator of ABC's Abbott Elementary. Benson Boone will perform as musical guest for the first time. The Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling artist will release his next album "American Heart" on June 20. Walton Goggins will host SNL for the first time on May 10. Goggins stars in the third season of The White Lotus and the final season of The Righteous Gemstones, both streaming on Max. Arcade Fire will take the stage as musical guest for the sixth time. The Grammy Award-winning band will release their new album, "Pink Elephant," on May 9.

Scarlett Johansson will host the May 17 season finale, returning to host SNL for the seventh time. The Oscar-nominated actress stars in the new Universal Pictures film Jurassic World Rebirth, in theaters July 2. Bad Bunny will make his third appearance as musical guest. The 3-time Grammy-winning artist's latest album, "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS," spent three consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 and has been #1 on the Top Latin Albums chart for 15 straight weeks.
