Netflix Renews A Man on the Inside for Season 3; Apple TV Premiere Date for Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed

Netflix announced that the critically-acclaimed comedy series A Man on the Inside has been renewed for a third season. A Man on the Inside Season 2 debuted on November 20, 2025 to critical acclaim. The series reached the Global Top 10 for five weeks and has a combined viewing of 45M+ views across both seasons through the end of 2025. It was honored as one of AFI's 2024 TV Programs of the Year, earning lead actor Ted Danson multiple nominations, including SAG, Critics Choice, and a Golden Globe.
Eager to take on another big undercover case, Charles Nieuwendyk (Ted Danson) gets his chance when a mysterious blackmailer targets Wheeler College president Jack Berenger (Max Greenfield), who enlists Charles to go undercover as a professor. Who's making these threats? Does it have something to do with the iconoclastic billionaire Brad Vinick (Gary Cole), a Wheeler graduate, and his proposed donation to the school? Charles finds no shortage of possible suspects, but his attention gets diverted by free-spirited music teacher Mona (Mary Steenburgen), whose zest for life awakens feelings he thought he'd buried after the passing of his wife. Is he ready to open his heart again at this stage in his life? And more importantly, has he fallen for the very criminal he's been sent to unmask?
Meanwhile, his daughter Emily (Mary Elizabeth Ellis) is inspired by the changes in her father and uncovers a long-ignored passion, while PI Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) embarks on her own journey of growth as she reconnects with an important figure from her past.
Starring Ted Danson, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephanie Beatriz, Gary Cole, Michaela Conlin, Lisa Gilroy, Max Greenfield, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Madison Hu, Sam Huntington, Jason Mantzoukas, Constance Marie, Linda Park, Mary Steenburgen, David Strathairn, and Jill Talley.

At the 2026 Apple TV Press Day, Apple TV and the stars of Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed unveiled a first look at the highly anticipated, darkly comedic half-hour thriller from creator and showrunner David J. Rosen. Starring Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black, The Monkey) and Jake Johnson (Mythic Quest, New Girl), the 10-episode season will make its global debut on Apple TV with the first two episodes on Wednesday, May 20, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through July 15.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed follows newly divorced mom Paula (Maslany) as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a crime - while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis - Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self.
Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why) and Murray Bartlett (The Last of Us, The White Lotus) also join the ensemble cast, which includes Jessy Hodges (Barry), Jon Michael Hill (Elementary), Charlie Hall (The Sex Lives of College Girls, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story), Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg (Charmed, Invasion), Nola Wallace (The Strangers: Chapter 2, The Strangers: Chapter 3) and Dolly De Leon (Nine Perfect Strangers, Triangle of Sadness).
