Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! The first week of the fall TV season is almost complete and so far it seems like an underwhelming season... but who knows what'll come out of it! This week, we are hearing about a thirtysomething reboot, news about ABC's production of The Little Mermaid Live! and more. Let's get going!

- Another week, another reboot, and this time they're talking thirtysomething (with a new cast, of course, because the original would be sixtysomething by now). (Deadline)
- We will be seeing John Stamos in the ABC production of The Little Mermaid Live! (Entertainment Weekly)
- Steve Levitan, co-creator of Modern Family, has a deal to stay with Fox (now part of Disney; he made news last year when he had a clash with the Fox News division that is no longer associated with Fox) for four more years. (Deadline)
- Actress Linda Porter, who has most recently appeared in several episodes of Superstore, has died at age 86. (People)
- The Viacom cable networks have acquired the rights to air Seinfeld, although in the current era, that isn't as major news as it was when Netflix acquired the streaming rights recently. (SitcomsOnline)
WEEKLY PLANNER (SEPTEMBER 28 - OCTOBER 4)
- Saturday Night Live is back tonight, supposedly without Alec Baldwin (we'll see, he has said that before), but it'll definitely have Woody Harrelson as host.
- Decades celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Brady Bunch this weekend with a marathon that includes several Brady related TV series.
- MeTV begins airing The Flintstones on Monday.
- For those who love animated comedies, Fox's Sunday night lineup returns tomorrow with new episodes, along with a new series, Bless the Harts, and on top of that, Cartoon Network has a new season of Robot Chicken.

Matt’s reunion with a high school friend stirs up more than nostalgia when he meets their equally opinionated spouse. Meanwhile, Riley spirals when Klatch gets a negative Yelp review. Tuc Watkins, Jim Rash and Jesse Williams guest star.
Shifting Gears - "License" (ABC, 10:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
When he finds out Carter’s getting driving lessons, Matt’s plan to prove he’s the better teacher hits a snag when he learns his license is expired. Meanwhile, Riley’s two worlds collide as she struggles to keep both her business and family afloat.
Shifting Gears - "Loyalty" (ABC, 10:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Matt’s dream build turns into a nightmare when controversy between Stitch and the client threatens to derail everything. Meanwhile, Riley hires Carter at her coffee business and quickly learns that working with family brews more tension than drinks.
