- CBS has given full season orders to three of the new series that debuted this fall, including The Neighborhood. (Hollywood Reporter)
- A new sitcom is in development at Fox from the executive producer of The Middle, and it sounds a lot like a reboot of The Middle with a new cast and the father narrating instead of the mother. (Deadline)
- Instead of asking what Matthew Broderick is doing, it might be better to ask what he isn't doing, as he currently slated to star in a Netflix project, recur on The Conners (as a love interest for Jackie), and recur on the FX series Better Things. (Deadline)
- Orange is the New Black was a huge hit when it first debuted on Netflix, but just like creator Jenji Kohan's series Weeds, it isn't quite as big as it used to be, and now the final season is being planned for next year. (Vulture)
- Forget the fall season, NBC is already prepping for mid-season in January. (SitcomsOnline)
WEEKLY PLANNER (OCTOBER 20 - OCTOBER 26)
- More Halloween themed fun is in store on Decades this weekend, as they air a marathon of Thriller.
- If you want to catch the Paramount Network series Heathers, which spent countless years in development only to be cancelled before it even began, you'll get your (maybe one and only) chance to see it in a newly censored version starting Thursday night on Paramount Network, where it will air as a five night event with two episodes per night.
- You can catch the second season of Great News on Netflix starting on Thursday.
