- The spinoff of The Middle starring Eden Sher has gotten a pilot commitment for ABC, and we're all rooting for 2019 to be the "year of Sue Heck." (Entertainment Weekly)
- It's that time of the year where we start hearing about who will (and won't) be returning to Saturday Night Live for the upcoming season, and so far, featured player Luke Null is out (though you would be forgiven if you aren't really sure who he is). (Vulture)
- Jerry Seinfeld has no regrets about turning down $5 million per episode to do another season of Seinfeld. (Deadline)

- Who watches the Teen Choice Awards? Just as we suspected, nobody, at least according to the record low ratings it received on Sunday. (Variety)
- Aside from occasional trips to Los Angeles or Orlando, The Tonight Show doesn't leave the studio too often, but it will for one night next month as it broadcasts from Central Park. (Variety)

- NCIS - The Fifteenth Season (DVD, $55.98): The fifteenth season of this long running CBS series arrives in this set.
WEEKLY PLANNER (AUGUST 18 - AUGUST 24)
- Even though school has already started in some areas, Antenna TV isn't going back to school until Sunday, and they will do that with a day long Head of the Class marathon.
- Decades is airing Tarzan all weekend long.
