SitcomsOnline Digest: Bewitched Reboot in the Works; Warner Archive Plans Busy September Slate
- This time, Bewitched is being looked at for a reboot, and like most reboots it has a twist too: Samantha and Darren would be an interracial couple. (Entertainment Weekly)
- We're sure that you've heard by now that The Big Bang Theory is ending after the upcoming season, and while nobody is really certain (at this point) if there was one specific reason, it is believed it may be due to Jim Parsons walking away from the series. (Entertainment Tonight)
- The Freeform series Young and Hungry was supposed to have a wrap-up movie to tie up any loose ends, but it looks as if that has been scrapped. (Hollywood Reporter)
- Robin Leach, who was famously known as the voice behind the series Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, has died this week at age 76. (ABC News)
- If you ever wanted evidence that people take pleasure in seeing the woes of those whom they oppose politically, just check out the ratings for MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show, which has been the most watched (at least with total viewers, not necessarily for the important demographics) cable TV series three nights in a row this week following what has been considered a difficult week for Donald Trump. - Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Season Five (DVD, $39.98): The final season of the series to air on Fox (before it heads over to NBC next season) arrives on DVD in this release.
- If you haven't already been watching it, Matt Groenig's series Disenchantment has been on Netflix for a little over a week now.
