SitcomsOnline Digest: A Look at Series Returning (or not) in the Fall; Shout! Announces Second Season of Police Story
HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
- We're only weeks away from hearing about the 2017-2018 TV season and the new series that will come with it, but with that, we also get to hear about which of the current TV shows will be coming back and which ones will fade off into non-existence. Deadline has a look at the prognosis for some of those series. (Deadline)
- Linda Lavin has not been in the spotlight much in recent years, but it's returning to her as she is now much like the character Mel in real life as she owns her own restaurant, and to top it off, she may be coming back to TV if a new pilot is successful. (NY Daily News)
- Many TV characters have lived in apartments (or sometimes houses) in New York City, but just how realistic is their housing situation? (Washington Post)
- Pop, which has come a long way from the days where it was a channel that gave a scrolling listing of what other channels were showing, has obtained the rights to the ABC series The Goldbergs. (SitcomsOnline)
- Grace and Frankie is returning to Netflix next year with a new "friend" in the cast. (SitcomsOnline)
