Week 31 TV Ratings and Analysis; How the Sitcoms Did

2016-17 Week 31 TV Ratings (first four nights Mon-Thu): 

Households: #1. CBS 4.52/8 rating/share (+9% in rating from first four nights week 30); #2. NBC 3.73/7 (+10%); #3. ABC 3.25/6 (-4%); #4. Fox 1.75/3 (-17%); #5. The CW 0.45/1 (-22%).
Total Viewers: #1. CBS 7.227 million (+11% from first four nights week 30); #2. NBC 5.874 million (+12%); #3. ABC 4.989 million (-2%); #4. Fox 2.737 million (-18%); #5. The CW 0.695 million (-23%).
Adults 18-49: #1. NBC 1.19/5 rating/share (+12% in rating from first four nights week 30); #2. CBS  1.15/4 (+8%); #3. ABC 1.03/4 (-5%); #4. Fox 0.77/3 (-22%); #5. The CW 0.20/1 (-29%)

We have previous week's final ratings, Week 30 (4/10/17-4/16/17, LIVE+SD). CBS won the week in A18-49 and did a 0.94 rating.  ABC was #2 with a 0.92 rating.  NBC was #3 with a 0.89 rating, while Fox was #4 with a 0.76 rating. What a low week.  Among total viewers, CBS was #1 with 6.588 million, with ABC #2 at 4.469 million.  NBC was #3 with 4.450 million and Fox at #4 with 2.509 million.

For season to-date (9/19/16-4/20/17, LIVE+SD), NBC is 1 in A18-49 with a 1.76 rating, followed by Fox at #2 with a 1.64 rating thanks to the Super Bowl and also heavily inflated by a high 7-game World Series. Without those 2 events, Fox would be #4. CBS is  #3 with a 1.48 rating and ABC at #4 with a 1.21 rating. Among total viewers it is CBS #1 at 8.191 million, followed by the dropping NBC at #2 with 7.005 million. Super Bow/World Series boosted Fox still at #3 with 5.297 million as ABC is #4 with 5.048 million. ABC could likely overtake Fox in total viewers by the end of season, in the next few weeks.
