COZI TV's Comedy Search with Lucille Ball Comedy Festival; Netflix Orders Wet Hot American Summer Comedy Series

Back by popular demand, COZI TV is excited to announce the return of the COZI TV Comedy Search, produced in association with The Lucille Ball Comedy Festival. This original, fun and highly-unique contest offers undiscovered talent the opportunity to take their best shot at being crowned America's newest comic champ. The Grand Prize winner of this year's COZI TV Comedy Search will receive a $5,000 cash prize, an appearance contract with COZI TV and an all-expenses paid trip to Jamestown, New York – Lucille Ball's hometown – to perform at this year's festival. New Jerseyan Glen Tickle was voted Grand Prize winner of the 2015 COZI TV Comedy Search.

Kicking off on Sunday, May 1, the on-line contest will include multiple phases of competition, including viewer voting and a celebrity judge panel, which includes comedian Kelli Carlin. Additional members of the panel will be announced in the future. Participants are encouraged to submit stand-up videos to the contest's web page housed on both COZITV.com and COZI TV's FB page through Tuesday, May 31. Submissions can be up to 5 minutes in total length, and must be "cable clean." Following a screening process, the top ten comedians will be selected and revealed on-air and on-line, where viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite four finalists until Saturday, June 25. From there, COZI TV's celebrity judges will pick a winner, who will be revealed on Wednesday, July 20.

The Lucille Ball Comedy Festival (lucycomedyfest.com) runs from August 4 to 7, 2016 in Lucy's hometown of Jamestown, New York. Produced by National Comedy Center, Inc., the event is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and the development of the comedic arts. The National Comedy Center, Inc. is open seven days a week, and features studio sets and memorabilia. Scheduled event headliners for the 2016 festival include Trevor Noah, Brian Regan and Lewis Black.
