Bounce TV Renews 3 Sitcoms and a Drama; New Girl Moves from MTV to MTV2
Bounce TV, the nation's fastest-growing television network designed for African-American audiences, announced that it has ordered a second season of its new mega-hit original drama series Saints & Sinners, currently setting network records for viewership in its inaugural season. The next episode of season one premieres Sunday, April 17 at 9:00 p.m. ET as police scramble to follow new leads and make a discovery that may lead to solving the murder that has viewers guessing. The first season finale - which will answer the question "whodunit?" - will air April 24 at 9:00 p.m. ET. But wait, that's not all! They have renewed three popular sitcoms! Mann & Wife - starring David & Tamela Mann, Tony Rock, Vivica A. Fox and JoMarie Payton - for a third season. New season two episodes of Mann & Wife are currently premiering Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT; season three will debut in the spring of 2017. In The Cut for season three. Dorien Wilson, Ken Lawson and John Marshall Jones star with Kalita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show) joining the cast for season two, which debuts this July. Season three will air in the third quarter of 2017. And Family Time for a fourth season, to premiere later this year; Omar Gooding and Angell Conwell star. In addition, they have renewed its stand-up comedy series Off The Chain for a fourth season, coming later this year.
MTV2 is now airing reruns of New Girl, as the series was airing on MTV but was pulled. Now sister network MTV2 will air New Girl in block marathons, like their other sitcoms like My Wife & Kids, Saved by the Bell, Everybody Hates Chris, Wayans Bros., The Jamie Foxx Show and Kenan & Kel. MTV started airing the series in Fall 2015, in a shared deal with TBS. New Girl is airing weekdays 3-4pm on TBS.
