2012 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day TV Marathons/Movies
Some of the major TV stunts we mentioned already were ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas 2012 edition, concluding on Tuesday after 25 days. That is always a fan favorite pick of course! TV Land's 13th Annual Merrython starts tonight and runs into Christmas Day with classic holiday episodes of many TV series like Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens and Andy Griffith. However, our pick of the marathons is on Antenna TV! Starting today they have a Christmas episode marathon beginning today at 11am on Christmas Eve running all the way into Christmas night of many classics from Three's Company to All in the Family to WKRP to Father Knows Best! We just mentioned that new multicast network COZI TV has started a soft launch with holiday episodes running from Dec. 20-25, so you can check that out as well. MeTV Network will also have a holiday episodes of their series like Taxi and Brady Bunch in primetime tonight and continuing tomorrow on Christmas Day. The Hub will celebrate early on Christmas Day with holidays episodes of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch from 7-10am and The Hub will also launch Animaniacs with a marathon today starting at 4pm. And TV One will also celebrate the holidays with holiday episodes on Christmas Day starting at 6am with Christmas episodes of their sitcoms like The Jeffersons and Martin!
Some of the stuff we have not mentioned, include GSN's 50th anniversary of one of the most enduring and memorable classic shows in history... Match Game. GSN will air a marathon on Tuesday, December 25 from 8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET that includes two episodes that have never been seen on television! VH1 Classic will celebrate Christmas Bundy style, with a Christmas episode marathon of Married...with Children on Christmas Day from 2pm-8pm and some encores from 11:30pm-1:30am. WE tv will spend Christmas Eve with the Connors as the network airs a Roseanne Christmas Eve marathon from 10am-5am! Centric has holiday episodes of their sitcoms both today on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day with shows like Moesha, Cosby Show, Steve Harvey and Wayans Bros. Sister network BET will air a marathon of the classic mini-series Roots. Nick at Nite has Christmas episodes of their sitcoms on Christmas Eve starting at 8pm and also on Christmas Day starting at 8pm with regulars like Friends, George Lopez, The Nanny and Family Matters. Hey Hey Hey! Bounce TV will air the classic special Fat Albert Christmas on Christmas Eve (3pm) and Christmas Day (11pm). ReelzChannel TV will also showcase holiday episodes of their sitcoms starting at 7am on Christmas Eve and also on Christmas Day with Becker, Coach, Cheers Spin City, and Wings. USA Network has a NCIS marathon on Christmas Eve starting at 8am.
Hello Angels! Universal HD will air a marathon of Charlie's Angels today beginning at 5am lasting 24-hours! Cartoon Network continues to air holiday episodes and specials with airings such as Smurfs: A Christmas Carol and Tom & Jerry Nutcracker starting today at 6am. TLC has a Christmas Day marathon of Undercover Boss beginning at 12 noon, while style goes reality with a marathon of Tia & Tamera on Christmas Day starting at 6am. Science Channel will air a Firefly Christmas Eve marathon today starting at 7am and tomorrow they will air a Fringe Christmas Day marathon from 8am-2am.
Movie wise, for the 16th year in a row Turner will have its annual A Christmas Story (1983) 24-hour movie marathon on TBS from 8pm Christmas Eve through 8pm Christmas night! FX is doing a Holiday movie marathon featuring movies like Christmas with the Kranks & Deck the Halls starting at 8am to 4pm on Christmas Eve and then a movie marathon of How To Train Your Dragon on Christmas Day. G4 has a Karate Kid movie marathon on Christmas Day beginning at 9am. FEARnet goes for scary Christmas movies with a Killer Kringle marathon on Christmas Eve, while Encore Family goes for holiday movies for the family. AMC, Lifetime, LMN, ION, Hallmark and Hallmark Movie Channel continue holiday movies marathons on Christmas Eve and Day.
