Nick@Nite/TV Land Upfront 2006; 'Commander in Chief' Off ABC Line-Up
Original series and specials that will air are: TV Land Top 10, My First Time, Boomer Knows Best, I Pity the Fool, TV Land Confidential, Urban Myths and Legends, 100 Most Memorable Catchphrases, Back to the Grind and Sitdown Comedy with David Steinberg. For more info on these original series and specials, click here.
Also, as we know TV Land will debut sitcoms all summer, including Benson in June, 227 in July and The Jeffersons in September.
Nick@Nite announced their new sitcom acquisitions. We knew about all of them already, but NewsRadio. NewsRadio will debut on Nick@Nite in July. We also have a date on A Different World, which will air Wednesdays starting July 19 part of Nick@Nite's annual summer line-up. And we knew Designing Women starts in October and Home Improvement in September 2007. Long range plans include The Nanny in 2009 and Friends in 2011.

Also today ABC announced that it will bench Commander in Chief for the rest of May sweeps. Primetime will be back in its old Thursday 10 p.m. slot replacing Chief. And airing Fridays at 9 will now be an extra AFV. ABC says Commander in Chief's final three episodes of the season will air sometime this summer. I wonder if they will still debut every Friday on abc.com? Probably not.
