It’s a summer you won’t want to miss on Nick@Nite when the network premieres brand new episodes of Hi-Jinks and adds the hit sitcoms NewsRadio and A Different World to its modern classic line-up. Throughout the summer, the network will also air a variety of programming events celebrating Father’s Day, the 4th of July and much more featuring its roster of hit shows like Roseanne, Full House and Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Click here to read Nick@Nite's summer slate -- A Different World week-long marathon will be in late August, after the Summer marathons are over.
TV Land is in high gear as it kicks off the summer with new originals, the additions of Benson, 227 and The Jeffersons and event programming throughout August. As part of its continuing commitment to original programming, over the course of the summer, TV Land will premiere brand new episodes of TV Land’s Top Ten and unveil the new series My First Time. In addition, the network will showcase a What’s Happening!! 30th Anniversary Marathon and movies such as Grease, Caddyshack and Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three’s Company. TV Land's full details on its summer slate is here. Stay tuned tomorrow for TV Land July -- it will feature the addition of 227 (weekdays at 12:30 p.m.), TV Land's Friday Night Movies, and 48-hour Brady Bunch marathon featuring a TV Land Top 10 episode about the Bradys!

VEI (Visual Entertainment Inc.) in Canada is releasing a 2 DVD set of Stockard Channing in Just Friends and The Stockard Channing Show. These short-lived shows aired on CBS in 1979 and 1980. For more details on the set and series, click here. You can purchase this set by clicking here, as it is not slated to come to the U.S. anytime soon probably.
This will probably be a release that is sold in stores only in Canada or at online retailers like amazon.ca. They list it for only $13.97 CDN. VEI is also releasing Gimme A Break - Season 1 and Kate & Allie - Seasons 1 & 2. The latter is a much better set than what the U.S. is offering. VEI previously released Hardcastle and McCormick - Seasons 1 & 2, The Best of Bizarre (Volumes 1-4), and The Best Moments of The Amazing Kreskin. We will have full detailed DVD reviews of the sitcoms (Kate & Allie, Gimme a Break, Stockard Channing in Just Friends and The Stockard Channing Show) coming soon!
