It's time for another edition of Fri-Yay! That means we will take a look back on some sitcom happenings in recent days or weeks or other fun sitcomy stuff. It's a sitcom lover's paradise! Happy Fri-Yay!

This fall has seen the triumphant return of many sitcoms after being put on hiatus for COVID-19 related reasons. Nearly every network has its sitcom slot back, at least partially, and it should be cause for celebration that networks can air original programming again. Yet, most sitcoms are returning with ratings down sharply from where they were a year ago. Even reliable hits like The Conners and Young Sheldon are struggling to crack a 1.0 in the demo (live+same day). Broadcast ratings overall are down once again this season (after a brief surge during lockdown in the spring), but sitcoms seem to be hit especially hard. Is there any hope for a breakout sitcom to come along and buck the trend?

It's always possible, of course - but as of now, it just simply seems like reality TV and select drama series are leading the way for broad hits capable of scoring big numbers. Shows like This Is Us, Grey's Anatomy, The Masked Singer, and NBC's Chicago series still pull in healthy numbers. And while the bigger sitcom hits like Young Sheldon and The Conners aren't doing badly, either - they just aren't quite living up to the biggest hits on network TV. It seems that many sitcom audiences are simply finding their content elsewhere, whether it be the shows on streaming service or different sitcoms on those same streaming services. Hopefully, a show can break through like The Conners did a few years ago and become a substantial hit. But for now, we might just have to accept that sitcom audiences are more splintered than ever.

BET will spotlight CBS' upcoming Monday night line-up prior to their new season premieres. The special presentation of select encore episodes of CBS' popular series The Neighborhood, Bob ♥ Abishola and All Rise will air on BET and BET HER, Friday, Nov. 13 beginning at 8:00 PM, ET/PT. All three series return with original episodes for their 2020-2021 season premieres on Monday, Nov. 16 on CBS.

Television's treasured game show host, Alex Trebek will be remembered by BUZZR network with an extra special tribute featuring his game show appearances from the last 40 years. Though best known as the host of Jeopardy!, Trebek once-upon-a-time appeared as a contestant on Card Sharks (1980s) as well as hosted episodes of Classic Concentration and To Tell The Truth in the late 80s and early 90s. BUZZR network shines a special light on Trebek's unforgettable career and celebrates his breadth of work with these iconic appearances on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 12:30pm – 2:00am EST. BUZZR's afternoon of tribute programming will begin with episodes of Card Sharks in which viewers see Trebek in the rare role of contestant competing in a charity tournament on behalf of the Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect. Trebek famously vies against other well-known, historical masters of ceremonies such as Bill Cullen, Gene Rayburn and Tom Kennedy.

Additionally, BUZZR has lined-up back to back episodes of Classic Concentration, in which Trebek appeared as an adored host taking a very genuine interest in those around him. Interspersed within Classic Concentration programming, BUZZR will also air a rare 1990's episode in which Trebek hosted a revival of To Tell The Truth starring panelists Ron Masak, Mother Love, Frank Runyeon and Kitty Carlisle. In addition to this this special programming tribute, BUZZR TV in conjunction with Fremantle, will be making a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Network (PanCAN) in honor of Alex Trebek and Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month (November). CBS has ordered United States of Al to series, a new multi-camera comedy from award-winning executive producer Chuck Lorre and creators/writers David Goetsch and Maria Ferrari, for the 2020-2021 broadcast season. United States of Al stars Adhir Kalyan (Rules of Engagement) and Parker Young (Suburgatory) in a comedy about the friendship between Riley (Young), a Marine combat veteran struggling to readjust to civilian life in Ohio, and Awalmir ("Al") (Kalyan), the interpreter who served with his unit in Afghanistan and has just arrived to start a new life in America. Kelli Goss, Dean Norris and Elizabeth Alderfer also star. David Goetsch & Maria Ferrari, Chuck Lorre, Reza Aslan, Mahyad Tousi and director Mark Cendrowski (pilot only) are executive producers for Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc.

The new comedy joins four additional series from Chuck Lorre that are already on the Network's schedule, including Young Sheldon, Mom, Bob ♥ Abishola and new comedy B Positive. All of which have premiered this November, but Bob ♥ Abishola which premieres Monday, Nov. 16. Stay tuned for a premiere date for United States of Al.

Honoring the memory and legendary career of Alex Trebek, Game Show Network is scheduled to air a six-hour Jeopardy! marathon on Saturday, November 14 at 9am-3pm ET. Game Show Network talent will share words of tribute throughout the marathon. Meanwhile, the MeTV Network will air some sitcoms! This Friday, November 13, at 9PM | 8C, MeTV pays tribute to legendary game show host Alex Trebek with a special presentation of two sitcom classics. Watch as two cherished characters of television comedy play as contestants on Jeopardy! First, at 9PM | 8C, Vicki Lawrence's Thelma "Mama" Harper heads to Jeopardy! in the 1987 Mama's Family episode "Mama on Jeopardy!" Then, at 9:30PM | 8:30C, tune in for a special airing of Cheers, when know-it-all mailman Cliff Clavin plays Jeopardy! in the unforgetable "What Is... Cliff Clavin?" from 1990. Trebek plays himself, the host of Jeopardy!, in both episodes, which rank as favorites amongst fans.

Fox has announced premiere dates for The Masked Singer (Dec. 27), Call Me Kat (Jan. 3), Last Man Standing (Jan. 3), Hell's Kitchen (Jan. 7), The Resident (Jan. 12), Prodigal Son (Jan. 12), 9-1-1 (Jan. 18), and 9-1-1: Lone Star (Jan. 18).

This December, Fox takes TV’s #1 show and adds a little twist. Based on the smash hit FOX series The Masked Singer and inspired by a popular segment featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, all-new celebrity competition series The Masked Dancer will have a special premiere Sunday, Dec. 27 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/5:00-6:00 PM PT, Live to all Time Zones), before having its time period premiere Wednesday, Jan. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Hosted by comedian/actor Craig Robinson (Ghosted, The Office) and featuring celebrity panelists Ken Jeong (The Masked Singer, I Can See Your Voice), world-famous choreographer and singer Paula Abdul, actor and the former “Giraffe” Mask on The Masked Singer Brian Austin Green and actress and singer Ashley Tisdale, The Masked Dancer will feature celebrity contestants shaking their tail feathers, while covered from head-to-toe in elaborate costumes and face masks, leaving audiences to guess their identities.

New comedy Call Me Kat, starring Emmy Award nominee Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory), and executive-produced by Bialik, Emmy Award-nominated producer Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory, The Boys in the Band) and Darlene Hunt (The Big C), will have a special series premiere Sunday, Jan. 3 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), following the NFL on Fox doubleheader. The series then makes its time period premiere Thursday, Jan. 7 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT). Based on the BBC UK original series Miranda, Call Me Kat stars Bialik as a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can still live a happy and fulfilling life despite still being single at 39. Which is why she recently spent her entire savings to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky. It was expected of Kat (Bialik) to be married with kids by now, but for many reasons, she’s still single – and totally fine with it. Of course, Kat’s mother, Sheila (Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Swoosie Kurtz, Mike & Molly, Sisters), views her daughter’s single-hood as her own personal failure, but Kat remains determined to live a fulfilling life, and charts her own course to happiness. Working alongside Kat at the café are Randi (Kyla Pratt, One on One), a confident millennial and self-proclaimed “non” cat person; and Phil (Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan, The Cool Kids, Will & Grace), who recently broke up with his longtime partner. Although Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans may begin to veer off-course, when her former crush and good friend, Max (Cheyenne Jackson, American Horror Story, 30 Rock), returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street, working with his friend, Carter (Julian Gant, Good Girls).

Entering its ninth and final season, hit comedy Last Man Standing will have a special season premiere Sunday, Jan. 3 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), following the series premiere of Call Me Kat. Last Man Standing makes its time period premiere Thursday, Jan. 7 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). The series stars Tim Allen as Mike Baxter, a happily married father of three daughters, who finds himself the odd man out in a home dominated by women. The series also stars Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Molly McCook, Christoph Sanders, Jordan Masterson, Jonathan Adams, Krista Marie Yu and Hector Elizondo. After the events of the eighth season finale, during which Kristin (Fuller) went into labor with her baby daughter, while Mandy (McCook) was pregnant with her first child, the series will jump ahead into the near future, when Mike and his wife, Vanessa (Travis), will contemplate their own future, including Mike’s imminent retirement from his lifelong job at Outdoor Man – and who could be his successor.

Also on Thursday, Jan. 7 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), hit culinary competition series Hell's Kitchen returns for its 19th season in a flashy new setting, as Chef Gordon Ramsay takes the show to Las Vegas, the city that’s home to the world’s first Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace. Season Four of The Resident, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 12 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), continues to shine a light on the daily heroism of today’s health care workers. From executive producer Greg Berlanti, Season Two of Prodigal Son premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Prodigal Son follows Malcom Bright (Tom Payne), a criminal profiler with a rare talent for getting inside the minds of killers. Fox’s #1 drama, 9-1-1, and last season’s #1 new scripted series, 9-1-1: Lone Star, will have their back-to-back season premieres on Monday, Jan. 18.

Building on its success as the season’s No. 1 entertainment network among Adults 18-49 and in Total Viewers, ABC will expand its roster of stellar, buzzworthy unscripted programming with the addition of several new shows set to premiere early next year, along with the return of some of the most popular and well-known titles on television.

January will welcome Matt James as The Bachelor for the momentous 25th season of the ABC hit romance reality series. Last season, The Bachelor ranked as Monday’s No. 1 broadcast program in Adults 18-49 and was TV’s No. 1 show among Women 18-34. Matt will start handing out roses on Monday, Jan. 4.

An all-new game show block kicks off Thursday, Jan. 7, with the series premieres of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune with Pat Sajak and Vanna White; The Chase hosted by ABC's The View's Sara Haines and featuring James Holzhauer, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter all from Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time; and The Hustler hosted by Craig Ferguson.

Anthony Anderson and Mama Doris return on an all-new season of To Tell The Truth on Tuesday, Jan. 26; and Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest and Bobby Bones return for a new season of the star-making series American Idol on Sunday, Feb. 14.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune takes a new spin on the iconic game show Wheel of Fortune with the primetime debut of America's Game(R) on America's network, ABC. Hosted by pop culture legends Pat Sajak and Vanna White, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune welcomes celebrity contestants to come spin the world's most famous wheel and solve word puzzles for a chance to win up to one million dollars. All of the money won by the celebrity contestants will go to a charity of their choice. A premidate date and number of episodes will be announced at a later date. ABC has celebrity themed game shows on the air such as Celebrity Family Feud, Match Game, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and $100,000 Pyramid, along with many other game shows such as Supermarket Sweep, Card Sharks and Press Your Luck. ABC had major success earlier this year in January with Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time tournament and the competitors from that tournament will be on the upcoming revival of The Chase.

The Chase is a heart-racing quiz show where three competitors must pit their wits and face off against the Chaser, a ruthless quiz genius determined to stop them from winning cash prizes. Each hour-long episode is a fast-paced battle of brain power, where contestants are challenged to think faster than they ever thought possible to answer up to 166 questions across all topics. Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time's James Holzhauer, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter take turns serving as the Chaser, reuniting the three titans of trivia who last faced off in January 2020. But now they're no longer pursuing each other - they're chasing YOU! Sara Haines (ABC's The View) hosts. Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and The Chase could certainly be paired together this Winter?

TNT, TBS and truTV are taking this "Thanksgiving to the HBO Max" and giving audiences a taste of the streamer's powerhouse programming slate. Over the course of the holiday weekend the networks' nearly 140 million collective viewers will get a sampling of new Max Originals, popular DC films and series, blockbuster movies and the opportunity to receive an entire week of HBO Max for free. On Thursday, TNT will feature DC movies, including the network premiere of Aquaman, as well as the first episode of season one of HBO Max's original series Titans. On Friday, Melissa McCarthy comes to TBS with films such as Tammy and a sneak peek into her new HBO Max original film Superintelligence premiering Thursday, Nov. 26. In this action comedy, when an all-powerful Superintelligence (James Corden) chooses to study the most average person on Earth, Carol Peters (McCarthy), the fate of the world hangs in the balance. As the A.I. decides to enslave, save or destroy humanity, it’s up to Carol to prove that people are worth saving.

Saturday will showcase the best of the networks' series, which are also available on HBO Max, including Friends and truTV's The Impractical Jokers. Kaley Cuoco takes over TBS on Sunday with a curated marathon of The Big Bang Theory, followed by the pilot episode of her new series The Flight Attendant, premiering on HBO Max on Thursday, Nov. 26. The Flight Attendant is a story of how an entire life can change in one night. A flight attendant (Cuoco) wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened. The dark comedic thriller is based on the novel of the same name by New York Times bestselling author Chris Bohjalian.

Canadian-American television personality and game show host Alex Trebek, who was best known as the longtime host of Jeopardy!, has died. He died at his home in Los Angeles on November 8 after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Mr. Trebek was 80.

Trebek's television career began in 1961 in his native Canada where he worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC). His first hosting job was on a music program called Music Hop in 1963. He hosted the Toronto version of the high school quiz show Reach for the Top from 1966 to 1973. In 1969, he hosted the game show Strategy. He hosted the short film series Pick and Choose in 1971. He hosted I'm Here Til 9, the local morning drive radio show on CBC Toronto, from 1971 to 1972.

He moved to the United States in 1973. He hosted the 1973-1974 NBC daytime game show The Wizard of Odds. A year later he began hosting NBC's High Rollers from 1974 to 1976. It was brought back from 1978 until 1980. Between his stints on High Rollers, he hosted the short-lived CBS game show Double Dare from 1976 to 1977, which was produced by Mark Goodson—Bill Todman Productions. He hosted the second season of the syndicated game show The $128,000 Question from 1977 to 1978. He hosted the syndicated Pitfall from 1981 to 1982. After High Rollers was cancelled in 1980, he moved to NBC where he hosted Battlestars (1981-1982) and later The New Battlestars (1983).

Trebek began hosting the syndicated game show Jeopardy! when it was revived in 1984. He hosted the series for 36 years and over 8,000 episodes from 1984 until his death. His last day filming in the studio was on October 29. His final broadcast will air on Christmas Day on December 25. Trebek received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host seven times (1989, 1990, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2019, and 2020) for his work on Jeopardy!. The series has won a record 39 Daytime Emmy Awards as well as a Peabody Award. He hosed Super Jeopardy! in 1990. In January 2020, he hosted ABC's primetime tournament Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time.

He hosted the NBC daytime game show Classic Concentration from 1987 to 1991. This was his second show for Mark Goodson. In 1991, he made broadcast history by becoming the first person to host three American game shows at the same time when he began hosting NBC's To Tell the Truth. He hosted the show from February to March 1991.

Trebek also made appearances in numerous television series, in which he usually played himself. Some of his sitcom guest appearances included Mama's Family, Cheers, Pacific Station, The Golden Girls, The Larry Sanders Show, Dave's World, The Nanny, Blossom, Seinfeld, Ned and Stacey, Ladies Man, How I Met Your Mother and Hot in Cleveland. His voice credits included Rugrats, The Simpsons, Arthur and Family Guy. Some of his other television guest appearances included Vega$ (as Arthur Martin, credited as Alex Trebeck), Beverly Hills 90210, The X-Files, Baywatch and Orange Is the New Black.

He was interviewed for The Interviews: An Oral History of Television on August 22, 2007.

Mr. Trebek was a true game show host legend. It will be hard to imagine Jeopardy! without him. He made learning trivia fun and cool. We thank him for the many hours of entertainment he brought us during his long career. He will be greatly missed.

Decades is making some schedule changes beginning Monday, Nov. 30. Since The Jeffersons is moving to Antenna TV this January, it will be off the lineup on Decades. The Odd Couple will be joining the lineup and will air weekdays at 5pm & 5:30pm. Then at 6pm, The Love Boat will be airing every weeknight, followed by The Best of the Ed Sullivan Show at 7pm, which will also air from 7-8am in the morning, too. Only other schedule change is 6-7am with back-to-back airings of The Millionaire. The weekdays 9am-5pm "Television Across the Decades" sitcom line-up from the '50s to the '80s will remain as is (The Lucy Show, The Donna Reed Show, Family Affair, Petticoat Junction, I Love Lucy, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Bob Newhart Show/Newhart). The late fringe sitcoms will also remain as is from 10pm-5am and you can still see Decades Weekend Binges all weekend long. The Jeffersons will get one final Weekend Binge Dec. 5-6. It's time for another edition of Fri-Yay! That means we will take a look back on some sitcom happenings in recent days or weeks or other fun sitcomy stuff. It's a sitcom lover's paradise! Happy Fri-Yay!

Last week, NBC's Superstore returned for Season 6. It was a big premiere for the show for several reasons. Amy, the show's lead character played by America Ferrera, will be departing the show after the second episode, so the premiere partly serves as the beginning of her farewell. And, notably, the premiere was the show's first episode after production was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it addressed the pandemic's impact on its characters. And it did so brilliantly, putting together the best piece of media I've seen regarding the pandemic and one of the show's best episodes to date.

Superstore has always been a show not afraid to tackle big issues while also remaining funny and light-hearted, so it's not surprising that the show did such a great job tackling the issue of the virus. Additionally, given the show's setting in a retail store, the pandemic uniquely affects its characters, and it's sure to make us realize that. The characters are called "essential workers" but don't receive the same treatment from the public or their bosses as other essential workers do. The way the characters have to be at the front lines of the pandemic but don't get the tools to properly protect themselves is very real. And yet, the show still remained funny and managed to make some really funny jokes about the pandemic more successfully than I may have expected. I was very unsure about shows handling the pandemic, but if they can take Superstore's lead, they'll be making some really strong content.

The Keatons are in the house! Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announced that Meredith Baxter (Elyse Keaton), Michael Gross (Steven Keaton), Michael J. Fox (Alex P. Keaton), Tina Yothers (Jennifer Keaton), Marc Price (Irwin "Skippy" Handelman), and Scott Valentine (Nick Moore), will reunite on Stars in the House on Tuesday, November 10 at 8PM ET to discuss all things Family Ties, and reminisce about their time on one of the most beloved sitcoms in television history.

The reunion episode will stream exclusively on PEOPLE social platforms Facebook and Twitter, as well as on PeopleTV's Facebook and Twitter, and on the Stars In The House YouTube channel, and StarsInTheHouse.com, where fans may tune in to ask questions and donate to The Actors Fund for a chance to have their names read by the stars on air. Of course, there will be live music. Family Ties joins the incredible line-up of casts that Seth and James have brought together to sing, share stories, and raise money to help those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic, including Night at the Museum, Scandal, Knots Landing, Melrose Place, Frasier, Glee, 30 Rock, Desperate Housewives, SCTV, White Collar, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Taxi, Fame, and Star Trek: Voyager.

Saturday Night Live returns this Saturday, Nov. 7 with host Dave Chappelle and musical guest Foo Fighters for its first episode since the Election. Chappelle will host SNL for the second time, having received an Emmy Award for his first hosting appearance following the 2016 presidential election. His most recent stand-up special, Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones, received three Emmys. Foo Fighters will perform as musical guest for the eighth time. The band is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.

Emmy-winning writer and producer Jeremy Stevens, who worked on Everybody Loves Raymond, has died. He died of renal failure on October 27 at his home in Northridge, California. Mr. Stevens was 82.

Some of his early sitcom writing credits included Carter Country, What's Happening!!, The Bad News Bears, Joe's World and Mork & Mindy. He worked as a writer with his writing partner Tom Moore on the talk show satires Fernwood Tonight and America 2-Night.

Stevens wrote four episodes of Dear John in 1989 and 1990. He worked as a producer for 24 episodes from 1989 to 1990. He appeared as Dick in the 1992 episode "Heartburn and Headache." His first sitcom acting role was as Marty Davidson, a man proposing marriage to Brenda (Julie Kavner), in the 1976 Rhoda episode "You Deserve a Break Today."

He worked as a writer on eight episodes of Coach from 1993 to 1995. He worked as a producer for the series from 1993 to 1995. He was a creative consultant for Baby Talk, The Man in the Family and Down the Shore.

Stevens wrote 15 episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond from 1996 to 2005. He worked as a producer for the entire nine-year run of the series. He was also a creative consultant from 1996 to 1997. He shared Emmy wins in 2003 and 2005 when Everybody Loves Raymond won for Outstanding Comedy Series. Stevens later worked as a supervisor on the successful Russian version Voroniny, which was created by Philip Rosenthal.

He was one of the founding writers for the PBS educational children's television series The Electric Company. He won his first Emmy Award in 1973 when the series won for Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming - Entertainment/Fictional.

Stevens worked as a head writer for NBC's Saturday Night Live in 1980-1981. Some of his other television writing credits included Playboy After Dark, The Diahann Carroll Show, The Richard Pryor Show, Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters and Thicke of the Night.

He co-wrote with Mark Reisman the 1985 film Summer Rental. It was directed by Carl Reiner and starred John Candy. Stevens also had a cameo role in the film.

Stevens was interviewed for The Interviews: An Oral History of Television on September 6, 2006.

Survivors include his wife Margie, daughter Nellie Reed and her husband Corey; son Billy and his wife Grace; daughter Lorie; and two grandchildren, Oscar and August Reed.

Mr. Stevens worked on more than ten sitcoms during his career. We thank him for his work on Everybody Loves Raymond and other series. He will be greatly missed.

Showtime will release the premiere episode of its new comedy series Moonbase 8 for free online sampling, on streaming platforms and on demand beginning at midnight on Sunday, November 8. Simultaneously, all episodes of the series will release for on-demand streaming or download on the Showtime and Showtime Anytime(R) apps and partner on-demand platforms for Showtime subscribers. Starring Emmy(R) nominee Fred Armisen (Portlandia), Tim Heidecker (Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!) and Golden Globe(R) and Academy Award(R) nominee John C. Reilly (Step Brothers), Moonbase 8 will officially premiere on Sunday, November 8 at 11 p.m. ET/PT and continue airing new episodes weekly.

The first episode will be available for free on YouTube and SHO.com, as well as across multiple television and streaming providers' devices, websites, applications and authenticated online services and their free On Demand channels. Set in the isolated desert of Winslow, Arizona at NASA's Moon Base Simulator, Moonbase 8 follows eager astronauts Skip (Armisen), Rook (Heidecker) and their leader Cap (Reilly) as they attempt to qualify for their first lunar mission. While working vigorously to complete their training, a series of unexpected circumstances forces the astronauts to question their own mental sanity, trust in each other and whether or not they're cut out for space travel.

The highly anticipated reimagining of Saved by the Bell will premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 25 on Peacock. Lark Voorhies to make special appearance as "Lisa Turtle" in Peacock's new Saved by the Bell series. Peacock released a new Saved by the Bell trailer last week. In the new series, when California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state - including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can't be solved in twenty-two minutes) a much-needed dose of reality.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez star in the new Saved by the Bell series, reprising their roles as Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater. John Michael Higgins also stars as Principal Toddman alongside the new class featuring Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Josie Totah and Haskiri Velazquez.

NBC has pulled new comedy Connecting... from the lineup effective immediately. Only four episodes of its eight episode order have aired. Starting this Thursday, reruns of Superstore will air at 8:30pm for the next three weeks to close out November sweep. New episodes of Superstore will air at 8pm as planned. Meanwhile, Connecting... will have its remaining four episodes air online on NBC.com and on streaming service Peacock. The series was an ensemble comedy about a group of friends trying to stay close (and sane) through video chats as they share the highs and lows of these extraordinary times.

Fox has announced its new animated comedy The Great North will premiere in February on Animation Domination, while also releasing the trailer. No exact premiere date just yet, though. The Great North is a new animated comedy from Bob's Burgers creator Loren Bouchard, Wendy and Lizzie Molyneaux and Minty Lewis. The series follows the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close - especially his only daughter, whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. The series will feature the voices of Alanis Morissette, Aparna Nancherla, Dulcé Sloan, Jenny Slate, Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman, Paul Rust and Will Forte. Stay tuned for an exact premiere date. A few weeks back Fox also announced their Monday (9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star) and Tuesday (The Resident and Prodigal Son) drama lineups starting in January, but no exact date was given.

This weekend is Halloween, and whether you're spending the weekend participating in Halloween festivities or not, you can make the weekend a little more festive with these highlight sitcom Halloween episodes.

The Simpsons - Treehouse of Horror V (Available on Disney+)
Any Treehouse of Horror installment from the Simpsons' first 10 seasons is a genuine candidate for this list, but the very best is the entry from the show's 6th season, most notable for the show's classic Shining parody. It perfectly balances creepy and funny, and is still, in my mind, the gold standard of a horror episode of a sitcom, animated or not.

Bob's Burgers - Fort Night (Available on Hulu)
Bob's Burgers is another series that has made Halloween a special time of year, and nearly all of its Halloween episodes are delightful. But the very best Halloween episode is probably Season 4's Fort Night, which introduces the character of Millie. Similar to the Simpsons episode listed, Fort Night is actually genuinely creepy, as the childrens' fate is left up to the wildly unstable Millie character. It's also just a great time seeing all of the Belcher kids together in one place.

Parks and Recreation - Halloween Surprise (Available on Hulu and Peacock)
This Parks and Rec episode isn't quite like your typical Halloween episodes, as it centers around Ben proposing to Leslie, but it's nevertheless a sweet and surprising episode that makes great use of the holiday. It's rare to call a Halloween episode "sweet", but this episode definitely gets that honor. And it's no surprise that Parks and Rec would take the darkest holiday of the year and make it heartwarming.

Happy Endings - Spooky Endings (Available on Hulu)
Maybe the all-out funniest episode of the list, Happy Endings' sole Halloween episode is a hysterical laugh riot from start to finish. There is pretty much a joke every other second in this episode, which has a simple premise (the gang goes to a costume party while Jane and Brad house sit in the suburbs) but fills that premise with so many jokes that you'll find yourself endlessly laughing for the entire 22 minutes.

Boy Meets World - And Then There Was Shawn (Available on Disney+)
Technically this isn't a Halloween episode, but it's a horror movie send up that fits in perfectly with the season, as the show pokes fun at slasher films. It's a really funny episode and a fairly early example of a live action sitcom experimenting with its genre and form. You don't typically expect it from TGIF sitcoms, but Boy Meets World did a great job with it.

Community - Epidemiology (Available on Netflix and Hulu)
Community spoofed zombie films with its second season Halloween episode, and if you can get past the fact that parts of this episode is about the school being quarantined due to the outbreak of a "zombie" virus (yes, it hits a little close to home, minus the zombie part), this is an extremely funny parody of horror movies that's one of Community's most imaginative and fun concept episodes.

CBS All Access, ViacomCBS' digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, announced the fourth season renewal for its original, half-hour comedy series No Activity. In a departure from previous seasons, the fourth season will feature all the fan favorite No Activity. characters in animated form. This season will find Special Agent Nick Cullen (Patrick Brammall) realizing his dream of joining the FBI, but he will soon discover that being an FBI agent isn’t that special after all. After being assigned to a seemingly dull observation detail, he finds a potential career case in the form of an emerging cult. A large scale operation soon takes aim at the cult but it's unclear which side will break first. Despite the promotion, Cullen's path continues to cross with former partner Judd Toldbeck's (Tim Meadows), who adjusts to life with a new partner of his own.

No Activity's third season found demoted detectives Cullen and Tolbeck back in uniform with a revolving door of quirky new partners and even quirkier criminals, while robots - and Dylan McDermott - tried to take over Janice and Fatima's jobs in dispatch. Season three starred Brammall, Meadows and a stellar guest cast, including Beth Behrs, Joe Keery, Keegan-Michael Key, Sunita Mani, Jason Mantzoukas, Dylan McDermott, Paula Pell, Amy Schumer, Amy Sedaris and J.K. Simmons. No Activity is produced by CBS Studios in association with Funny Or Die, Jungle, and Gary Sanchez Productions, and is based on the Stan original series produced by Jungle. The series is co-developed and executive produced by Brammall and Trent O'Donnell, alongside executive producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Joe Farrell, Mike Farah, Joe Hardesty and Jason Burrows. Nina Pedrad, Steve Toltz, and Becca Kinskey serve as co-executive producers. As in previous seasons, O'Donnell will direct all episodes. Flight School Studio serves as the animation studio for the upcoming season.

Following its breakout first season and early second season renewal, Apple TV+ has renewed Ted Lasso for a third season, ahead of its second season start of production in London early January. Since its premiere on August 14, 2020, critics and fans globally have hailed the series as "terrific," "hilarious," "heart-swelling" and "infectious." The Rotten Tomatoes Certified Fresh first season of Ted Lasso is now available for viewers to binge on Apple TV+. Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England despite having no experience coaching soccer. The series also stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed. In addition to starring, Sudeikis serves as executive producer, alongside Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Cougar Town) via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer's Jeff Ingold also serves as an executive producer with Liza Katzer as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.

This December, Fox takes The Masked Singer concept and adds a little twist. Based on Fox's The Masked Singer and inspired by a popular segment featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, all-new celebrity competition series The Masked Dancer will be hosted by comedian Craig Robinson (The Office, Hot Tub Time Machine). Joining the show as panelists are Ken Jeong (The Masked Singer, I Can See Your Voice), world-famous choreographer and singer Paula Abdul (American Idol), actor and the former "Giraffe" Mask on The Masked Singer Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills, 90210) and actress and singer Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical).

The Masked Dancer will feature celebrity contestants shaking their tail feathers, while covered from head-to-toe in elaborate costumes and face masks, leaving audiences to guess their identities. Costumed celebrities will be joined on stage by masked partners and back-up dancers, as they perform a series of dances together; spanning from hip-hop to salsa, jazz to tap dancing and more. When it comes to dance styles, the sky is the limit. Each week, a series of clues will be sprinkled throughout packages, costumes and routines, leading the panelists one step closer to figuring out which famous faces are freestyling behind the masks. Between all of the celebrity competitors on the show, they've amassed more than 38 million albums sold worldwide, 20 Emmy(R) Award wins, 20 Grammy(R) Award nominations, 10 World Dancing titles, five New York Times Best-Selling Author titles, four Olympic gold medals and three Broadway show appearances. Guest judges and premiere date to be announced soon.
