Netflix Grabs Victorious Spinoff Hollywood Arts; Dancing with the Stars Up for 5th Straight Week

Netflix announced Hollywood Arts, a brand-new spinoff of the hit live-action show Victorious, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2010-2013. The series is set to debut on Netflix in 2026, followed by releases on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Production begins in October in Vancouver, Canada for 26 episodes.
In this all-new series, struggling actress Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood's most elite performing arts school.
Starring Daniella Monet (Victorious), Alyssa Miles (Hanging out with Alyssa and Xavier), Emmy Liu-Wang (Raven's Home, Slumber Party), Peyton Jackson (Woman in the Yard, Young Dylan), Erika Swayze (School Spirits, Davey & Jonesie's Locker, Workin' Moms), Martin Kamm (Unsung Hero, Web of Spiderman) and guest star Yvette Nicole Brown (Community). The Hollywood Arts pilot (first) episode will be directed by Jonathan Judge (The Really Loud House, My Weird School), and was penned by Jake Farrow & Samantha Martin. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios.

Dancing with the Stars is still making television history for the fifth straight week. It has continued its upward climb, bedazzling viewers with last week's "Wicked Night," and scoring 6.63 million Total Viewers and a 1.38 rating among Adults 18-49, hitting new season highs in both demographics.
Amidst a season full of highlights, Dancing with the Stars has made history, growing for the fifth straight week following premiere over last week's "Dedication Night" in Total Viewers (+11% - 6.63 million vs. 5.98 million), the first time in measurement history that a fall show has grown its audience for five straight weeks following premiere, dating back to 1991.
Head-to-head from 8-10 p.m., Dancing with the Stars led the competition among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 (6.63 million and 1.38 rating, respectively), including CBS's NCIS and NCIS: Origins (4.81 million and 0.25 rating) and the season debut of NBC's NBA basketball coverage (4.73 million and 1.29 rating).
Fan voting leapt to another new high of 53.10 million votes cast (+6% vs. 50.15 million votes cast on 10/14). Dancing with the Stars was once again the No. 1 most social television program across broadcast and cable, scoring 3.2 million total social interactions, up +13% over the show's season average (vs. 2.9 million).
Dancing with the Stars returns tomorrow - Tuesday, October 28, for "Halloween Night" (airing at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT on ABC and Disney+, streaming next day on Hulu). Nine couples get into the spooky spirit with eerie makeovers and chilling routines, conjuring up a hauntingly entertaining night. The dance marathon, "Dance Monster-thon," returns, as well as two-time Mirrorball champion Cheryl Burke as guest judge. Can it make it six straight weeks of growth since the premiere? It's possible!
