COZI TV Acquires Married... with Children and The King of Queens; The Penguin, The White Lotus, The Last of Us and More Coming to Max in 2024-2025

COZI TV, NBCUniversal Local's national multicast network that delivers TV's all-time best shows and pop culture favorites, has acquired the digital broadcast rights to a pair of iconic, award-winning comedies from Sony Pictures Television, Married... with Children and The King of Queens, which will join COZI TV's 24-hour lineup Aug. 5 and Sept. 9, respectively. Married... with Children and its acclaimed cast of Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate and David Faustino debuted on COZI TV on Saturday (Aug. 3) with a special eight-hour, 16-episode first-season marathon from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. The hit series becomes part of COZI TV's regular lineup TODAY - Aug. 5 when it begins its regular four-episode blocks Mondays through Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. ET.
The King of Queens brings an all-star cast, led by Kevin James and Leah Remini, to COZI TV beginning Sept. 9. The show enters its 27th consecutive season on television as part of COZI TV’s primetime lineup Mondays through Fridays and Sundays, with four episodes airing from 8 to 10 p.m. ET. To celebrate its launch, COZI TV will air an 11-hour marathon Sept. 15, starting at 11 a.m. ET.
Married... with Children centers on the not-so-lovable family of four, the Bundys, a middle-class family in Chicago, and their neighbors, Steve and Marcy Rhoades. One of the longest-running sitcoms in American television history, Married... with Children was a departure from traditional sitcoms of the era due to its offbeat humor, unflinching honesty and unsavory characters, and strained relationships. The first primetime scripted series on the FOX broadcast network, Married... with Children originally aired from 1987 to 1997. Created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt, the 259-episode series ranked as the network’s top-rated comedy and No. 2 overall program from 1991 to 1997. The show earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Television Series, Comedy, in 1991.
The King of Queens follows working-class married couple Doug Heffernan, played by James, an amiable deliveryman, and Carrie Heffernan, a secretary played by Remini, as they navigate daily life with their friends and family in Queens, N.Y. The celebrated cast also features Jerry Stiller as Arthur Spooner, Carrie’s widowed father, and Victor Williams and Patton Oswalt as Doug’s friends. The King of Queens, created by Michael J. Weithorn and David Litt, averaged more than 10 million viewers per episode across nine seasons on CBS from 1998 to 2007. The series won 14 awards during its 207-episode original run, including a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Kevin James), and two People Choice Awards nominations for Favorite TV Comedy.
