SitcomsOnline Digest: A Look at Season 3 of The Bear; The Munsters Headed Toward a Reboot, Again

 Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! It's Memorial Day weekend and one of the most unusual (and sort of disappointing, due to the lack of new content) TV seasons ever is coming to an end. Nonetheless, we're hear with news about a new season of an FX favorite, a reboot of a Showtime series, and a reboot of The Munsters... again? Let's get going!

  • We are getting our first look at season 3 of The Bear. (Variety)
  • It looks like the sequel to Nurse Jackie is moving ahead, but it is now being developed for Amazon rather than Showtime. (Variety)
  • If it seems like we already went through this, we did... but they're trying to reboot The Munsters again. (Deadline)
  • Young Sheldon and Suits are big hits for Netflix. (Deadline)
  • Unlike what happened with Disney, Spectrum was able to resolve their contract renewal with Paramount without any blackouts or permanent removal of fringe cable networks, and they're even going a step further by giving subscribers access to Paramount+ and BET+. (Variety)

When a promising opportunity to save Woodstone is threatened by a personal conflict, Sam and Jay are forced into a difficult choice. Meanwhile, election day arrives as Flower and Isaac go head‑to‑head to become Ghost Representative. Justin Kirk gest sars as Tad, the Mayor.

Animal Control - "Golden Moose and Wiener Dogs" (Fox, 9:02PM ET/PT)
The team arrives at the Animal Control Officer of the Year awards and party ahead of the ceremony; it's Frank vs. Templeton for the big prize; Shred and Emily's secret romance is finally exposed.

Going Dutch - "NATOcean's Eleven" (Fox, 9:32PM ET/PT)
Gen. Martin launches a takeover of the base and plans to fire its entire staff; Maj. Shah grapples with a midlife crisis.
