TCA Winter 2024 Press Tour: Peacock, Syfy and NBC

At NBCUniversal's TCA presentation, Peacock announced the straight-to-series order of four new scripted projects from Universal Studio Group: Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, a limited series from the producers of Dr. Death and NBC News Studios, based on the harrowing exploits of one of America's most notorious serial killers and the rigorous investigation that ultimately brought him down; All Her Fault, a suburban-thriller limited series, adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name, which opens on a plausibly terrifying situation that eventually unearths the deep secrets of a wealthy Chicago community; Untitled James Wan & Simu Liu Project, an original espionage techno-thriller series from James Wan and starring Simu Liu; and Mr. Throwback, a mockumentary comedy series starring NBA legend Stephen Curry and Adam Pally.

SYFY kicks off its upcoming slate of original series with premiere dates for the second half of season three of Chucky (April 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT) and season two of Reginald the Vampire (May 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT) as well as a summer launch for season two of The Ark. In addition, fan-favorite horror drama SurrealEstate will return for a third season.
Stephen Amell has been cast in the NBC drama pilot Suits L.A. as Ted Black, a charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others. Ted is a former New York prosecutor who joined forces 15 years ago with his old buddy, Stuart Lane, to build an L.A. law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law. Stephen Amell most recently starred in the Starz critically acclaimed series Heels and will next be seen starring in the Netflix film Code: 8 Part II, which he also produced. He previously starred on the CW breakout hit Arrow, which launched what is now known as the Arrowverse.
In the pilot, Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can't help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved. Production: Scheduled to start in late March in Vancouver.
