Bupkis Renewed for Season 2; Michelle Buteau's Survival of the Thickest Premieres July 13

Peacock's critically acclaimed comedy series, Bupkis, from executive producer Lorne Michaels and starring Pete Davidson, Edie Falco, and Joe Pesci, has been renewed for a second season. Bupkis comes from Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Broadway Video. Written, executive produced by, and starring Pete Davidson, Bupkis is executive produced by Lorne Michaels for Broadway Video and is written and executive produced by Judah Miller and Dave Sirus alongside executive producers Andrew Singer and Erin David. Jason Orley directed and co-executive produced.
Bupkis season one premiered on May 4. It is a comedy following Pete Davidson as he attempts to work through unique family dynamics and the complexities of fame to form meaningful relationships. The raw, semi-autobiographical series stars Davidson, Edie Falco, and Joe Pesci, alongside a star-studded supporting cast, in a show that straddles reality and absurdity to best represent what it is to be Pete Davidson. Survival of the Thickest centers on Mavis Beaumont (Michelle Buteau). Black, plus-size and newly single (not by her choice!), Mavis unexpectedly finds herself having to rebuild her life as a struggling stylist. She's determined to not only survive but thrive with the support of her chosen family, a body positive attitude, and a cute v-neck with some lip gloss. The scripted comedy is inspired by Buteau's acclaimed book of essays.
