SitcomsOnline Digest: Bupkis Renewed for Second Season; NBC Cancels Magnum P.I.
Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! This week, we are learning about the renewal of a Peacock series, the cancellation of a show that was saved just a year ago, and more. Let's get going!
HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
- Bupkis has been renewed for a second season on Peacock. (Variety)
- All of those efforts to save Magnum P.I. after CBS cancelled it seem to have just been for one season, as now NBC has decided to not go ahead with another season. (Deadline)
- Will & Grace almost had a fifth cast member, but it wasn't meant to be. (Deadline)
- We'll say it again, especially as people who supported the ideas of DVD and Blu-ray home media for permanency: streaming media is never permanent. Now, Paramount+ is joining in on the "fun" by removing some original series that were only recently added to the service. (Hollywood Reporter)
- The Wheel, which is not the Pat Sajak game show (that had to be said because probably nobody remembers this game show) has been cancelled at NBC. (TVLine)
- Peacock has announced not one, but two projects with Kevin Hart. (SitcomsOnline)
WEEKLY PLANNER (JUNE 24 - JUNE 30)
