CBS Announces Celeb Pickleball Special; Apple TV+ Holiday Specials Streaming Includes Peanuts Specials

CBS announced today the 16 celebrities competing in the new, two-hour sports comedy special Pickled. The pickleball tournament, produced by Stephen Colbert's Spartina, Funny Or Die and CBS Studios, will air Thursday, Nov. 17 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) following comedies Young Sheldon & Ghosts on the CBS Television Network, and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*. Emmy Award-winner Stephen Colbert of The Late Show hosts this hilarious and cutthroat pickleball competition, featuring teams playing against each other to benefit the non-profit Comic Relief US and ultimately win the coveted totem of excellence: the Colbert Cup! The 16 celebrities who will team up and battle it out on the Pickled court are: Jimmie Allen, Murray Bartlett, Dierks Bentley, Jaime Camil, Will Ferrell, Max Greenfield, Luis Guzman, Phil Keoghan, Daniel Dae Kim, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tig Notaro, June Diane Raphael, Kelly Rowland, Paul Scheer, Aisha Tyler and Emma Watson.
All-star announcers, including Cari Champion, John Michael Higgins and Bill Raftery, add color and commentary to the thrilling matches. After the national anthem is performed as a duet by singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins and Stephen Colbert, the 16 celebrities take to the court to battle for the honor of being named the Pickled champions.
Apple TV+ is ready to help kids and families trick or treat, give thanks and spread holiday cheer with a joyous lineup of new special episodes of Apple Original series and the streaming debut of classic holiday Peanuts specials. New festive programming from beloved series includes the Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Night of the Lights holiday special and Sago Mini Friends Thanksgiving special premiering on Friday, November 18, and holiday specials from Interrupting Chicken, Pretzel and the Puppies and The Snoopy Show, all debuting on Friday, December 2.
Apple TV+ will also provide special free windows for non-subscribers to stream the iconic holiday specials from Mendelson/Melendez Productions and Peanuts Worldwide It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown available October 28 through October 31; A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving available November 23 through November 27; and A Charlie Brown Christmas available December 22 through December 25. Two classic Peanuts holiday specials also from Mendelson/Melendez Productions and Peanuts Worldwide, I Want a Dog for Christmas and Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales, will be added to the platform for the first time starting December 2. Additionally, the animated short film The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, based on the beloved award-winning book of the same name by author Charlie Mackesy, will be coming to Apple TV+ on Christmas Day.
