NBC to Air Peacock Series as Promotional Airing; James Denton and Sherri Saum Star in Hallmark Movie

Leveraging the powerhouse portfolio of NBCUniversal, Peacock's original comedic thriller series The Resort will air on NBC on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, on the heels of the show's critically acclaimed streaming launch. The episode will follow a live results telecast of America's Got Talent. The broadcast hour will also include a substantial teaser of the second episode of The Resort as viewers will get a look ahead of how the addictive story develops. They can then to go Peacock and catch up on the series, ahead of the highly anticipated season finale on Sept 1. Cast: William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Skyler Gisondo (The Righteous Gemstones) and Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: Mexico).

James Denton (Desperate Housewives, A Kiss Before Christmas) and Sherri Saum (The Fosters) star in Perfect Harmony, a new original premiering this fall on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Sheppard Denton reunites with his father on-screen for the first time since his debut role in Hallmark Channel's For Love and Honor in 2016. Denton performs the original song "Ooh Wee Ooh," and Saum duets with him on Perfect Harmony, also written especially for the movie.
When Jack Chandeller (Denton) and Barrett Woodward's (Saum) mutual friends Naomi (Julia Benson, Seasoned with Love) and Simon (Peter Benson, Big Sky River) are ready to tie the knot, they ask the pair to be Best Man and Maid of Honor. Barrett is a buttoned-up college professor. Jack on the other hand, is a laid-back, former pop star. They have been like oil and water since they met 10 years prior but, to support Naomi and Simon, they agree to set aside their differences. At the engagement party, Barrett is horrified to learn Jack's plan for party music was nothing more than a playlist. She guilts him into performing but he insists she join him on stage, much to his son Teddy's (Sheppard Denton) dismay as Barrett also happens to be his professor. Jack and Barrett bring down the house with their duet and with that, the frost between them begins to thaw. As Jack and Barrett continue to spend time together leading up to the wedding, they surprisingly find themselves getting along. Slowly, they begin to change their perceptions of each other and find they may be more in tune than either of them would have imagined.
