Hulu Orders Season 3 of Only Murders in the Building; Pluto Announces New 24/7 Channels Including Let's Make a Deal
Hulu Original comedy series Only Murders in the Building, which hails from 20th Television, has been renewed for a third season. New episodes of the current second season stream weekly on Tuesdays. News is on the heels of a successful first and second season. The first season debuted as the most-watched comedy series in Hulu Originals' history.
Following the shocking death of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger, Charles, Oliver and Mabel race to unmask her killer. However, three (unfortunate) complications ensue - the trio is publicly implicated in Bunny's homicide, they are now the subjects of a competing podcast, and they have to deal with a bunch of New York neighbors who all think they committed murder. Only Murders in the Building hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.
As of yesterday, Fremantle and Pluto TV have launched a new streaming channel dedicated wholly to Let's Make a Deal and featuring EMMY winner and multi-talented host Wayne Brady. The Let's Make a Deal channel will be available to all Pluto TV users and will feature episodes 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Pluto TV has also added a Judge Judy channel, and will add Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune channels in August. The classic game show, Let's Make a Deal, features costumed contestants competing for cash and prizes by striking wacky deals. Pluto TV users will be able to get their game show fix as the Let's Make a Deal” channel broadcasts hundreds of episodes from the show's previous seasons. Let's Make a Deal first premiered in 1963 with Monty Hall serving as the original host. In 2009, the show was revived with new host Brady, who has been hosting it ever since. The show also features announcer Jonathan Mangum, model Tiffany Coyne and band leader Cat Gray. This latest version of Let's Make a Deal has received 29 Daytime Emmy Nominations, with three wins including one for Brady as Outstanding Game Show host.
The new Let's Make a Deal channel marks Fremantle’s continued relationship with Pluto TV, providing content across all genres of entertainment from their extensive library of both scripted and unscripted productions. Pluto TV is also home to Fremantle's BUZZR, the nation's first network dedicated to vintage game shows. BUZZR's laugh-out-loud content is available via a real-time live stream on Pluto TV. Also on Pluto TV, The Price Is Right: The Barker Era celebrates one of the most iconic names in game show history, Bob Barker, bringing him back for fans as well as introducing him to a whole new generation. And finally, Fremantle's first dedicated Baywatch linear streaming channel is currently one of Pluto TV's leading third-party brand offerings.
