NBC has announced three of its summer shows: summer staples America's Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior, along with now airing in the summer Making It. All three shows will launch NBC’s summer season that begins the week of May 31-June 4. The 16th season of America's Got Talent returns on Tuesday, June 1 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) with a new set of aspiring performers looking to compete for the ultimate $1 million prize. Executive producer Simon Cowell returns to the star-studded judging panel with global fashion icon Heidi Klum, fan-favorite comedian Howie Mandel and acclaimed actress and international superstar Sofia Vergara. Terry Crews, the dynamic co-star of NBC's Brooklyn Nine-Nine, also returns as host. It will air Tuesdays from 8:00–10:00pm ET/PT through September 14, except for June 15, when it will air from 10:00pm ET/PT, and preempted during Olympics on July 27 and August 3. When the show goes live in August, it will also air on Wednesdays from August 11 at 8:00pm Live ET/CT through September 8. The season finale will be air on September 15 from 9:00 – 11pm Live ET/CT.
Season 13 of American Ninja Warrior, where some of the most elite athletes in the country compete on the world's most difficult obstacle courses, will return on Monday, May 31 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT). Hosts Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Zuri Hall are all back to call the action, which is set to take place in Seattle, Los Angeles and Las Vegas for the finals. The show will air on Mondays from 8:00 – 10:00pm ET/PT from May 31 through July 19 (preempted on June 14 and on June 21 it will air from 9:00 – 11pm ET/PT). Beginning August 9 after the Olympics, it will air from 9:00 – 11pm ET/PT through September 13. No word on what will air at 8pm yet leading in, but NBC has plenty of series still to be announced (That's My Jam, Small Fortune, College Bowl, Family Game Fight, True Story, etc). From executive producers and Emmy Award-nominated hosts Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, Making It returns for a third season on Thursday, June 3 (8-9 p.m. ET/PT), reuniting two of pop culture's biggest BFFs and celebrating the creativity and craftiness in all of us. This season’s eight episodes highlight how making things brings together communities, friends, neighbors and families, serving as a reminder of the importance of positivity and imagination, which is needed now more than ever. The series airs through July 15, but on July 22 a two-hour finale will air from 8:00 – 10:00pm ET/PT.
And finally, three regular season series spills into early summer. On Thursday, June 3, Manifest moves an hour later to 9:00pm ET/PT through July 1, while The Blacklist moves to Thursdays at 10:00pm through June 24. And finally, beginning July 1, NBC begins airing the remainder of the season of Good Girls at 10:00pm ET/PT through July 22. It will air on Sundays at 10pm through June 13.

CBS announced that it has renewed new drama series, The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah, for a second season after four episodes. The series premiered on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 7 after the game. The Equalizer is a reimagining of the classic series starring Academy Award® nominee and multi-hyphenate Queen Latifah ("Chicago," "Bessie") as Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills as a former CIA operative to help those with nowhere else to turn. McCall presents to most as an average single mom who is quietly raising her teenage daughter. But to a trusted few, she is The Equalizer - an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who's also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption. Chris Noth, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira and Laya DeLeon Hayes also star. Andrew Marlowe, Terri Miller, Dana Owens (Queen Latifah), John Davis, John Fox, Debra Martin Chase, Richard Lindheim (co-creator of the original The Equalizer TV series that ran on CBS for four seasons) and Shakim Compere are executive producers for Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with CBS Studios.
