SitcomsOnline Digest: Night Court Sequel in the Works; Superstore Spinoff in Development

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! Christmas week is upon us, so it's going to be a slow few weeks of news, but we've got a busy week this week including new January lineups for classic TV digital networks, a spinoff of an NBC sitcom, a Night Court reboot, and more. Let's get going!

  • Night Court sequel is in the pipeline, and John Larroquette is onboard to be part of the cast. (Deadline)
  • Superstore may be coming to an end, but there is an effort to create a spinoff before that happens. (Deadline)

  • It isn't just primetime series that are getting remade, now ABC is developing an All My Children sequel that would air in primtime. (Vulture)

  • MeTV has a new lineup for January, for those who watch TV in a linear fashion. (SitcomsOnline)

  • Antenna TV will have plenty of Christmas episodes for Thursday and Friday.

Ghosts - "The List" (CBS, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Sam and Jay work to secure Woodstone B&B a coveted spot on a prestigious luxury hotel list, only to face unexpected chaos when a vengeful newly discovered bunker ghost disrupts a crucial visit. Meanwhile, Flower and Thor clash over who gets to call the shots in their relationship.

Animal Control - "Donkeys and Weasels" (Fox, 9:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Frank's dad temporarily moves into Frank's house following a heart attack; Victoria and Patel try to find ways to replace pet food that was destroyed in a fire.

Going Dutch - "Twenty-Year Sitch" (Fox, 9:30PM ET/PT)
To celebrate Major Shah's 20 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army, the Colonel plans a boy's camping trip; the nature retreat takes a turn when the Colonel learns Shah is considering retiring; General Davidson invites himself to join.
