SitcomsOnline Digest: America Ferrera Leaving Superstore; NBC Renews Several Dramas for Three Seasons
- Superstore is coming back for a sixth season, but it seems that it will be without America Ferrera in the lead role. (CNN)
- Kelsey Grammer has been cast in the season finale of Carol's Second Act and will recur in the series if it is renewed for a second season, although the last time Patricia Heaton and Kelsey Grammer had a series together, it did not work out so well. (Deadline)
- NBC firmly stands behind their Chicago franchise series, giving all three of them a renewal for another three seasons. (Deadline)
- Law & Order: SVU also got an additional three seasons, which will bring it up to 24 seasons. (Deadline)
